Will not use again. Delivered WRONG GRAVEL to house and wouldn't fix! I placed phone order, for 4 cubic yards, never received order confirmation, and then wrong stuff was delivered (minus rock instead of clear rock - which won't work for this project) Didn't return my calls, finally got supervisor, who said he "didn't know who to believe," and hung up on me. read more

Pretty sure they use biosoils in their product because of the smell, thought I was going to Cedar Grove not sure if they are the same but ended up here. I see at least one other similar review, and I'm glad that family wasnt hurt. Do not work with this company. Their truck drivers will change lanes in an intersection, cut you off, run over half your car, nearly kill you, then when the supervisor comes out to inspect the damage, they'll laugh about it together and tell the police it was your fault. We have been taking yard waste tree limbs bushes, everything organic here for years $20 bucks for a truckload, now under "Bidenomics" its $37.05 which they grind up and re-sell, needless to say we will not be back EVER. Used Pacific Topsoils for the blower service. Had 20 yards of cedar chips blown into my backyard. The extra for that service easily saved me a weekend of shoveling and a sore back. Our neighborhood pitched in and paid for another 2 yards of bark for our common area. The technicians were always prompt and professional. I got 3 yards of what they suggested for raised garden beds. I cannot believe how horrible this soil is. Seeds will sprout but not grow, soil is heavy and crusty. POOR QUALITY and inconsistent. Had three different large (15-20yard) medium bark deliveries this summer and fall and only the first delivery had good quality. 1st Delivery was good red medium bark, 2nd Delivery was much darker and more like mulch than chunky bark pieces....to which I complained and was told that the color is not within their control. Then the 3rd delivery was more red colored bark but mixed within was lots of junk white wood pieces and limbs. Company has terrible customer complaint handling and won't stand behind the Quality of the materials because they buy it from another vendor. They just says it is out of their control. Just what I needed, and they got me in almost a month earlier when I asked if I could be on a wait list. The people I talked with at the office were kind and helpful. But really props go to John and Paul who blew in the mulch, in a complex yard, with hills and gates and everything and made it look really good. Then they cleaned up and the only two things that let you know they were there were the beautiful dark brown mulch and the not so beautiful smell, LOLs, but that is exactly what I wanted!!! If I had gotten this dumped for cheaper and done it myself, to get the 20 cubic yards all over my yard, I might have had to do this for multiple weekends through June... I would rather be enjoying my beautiful garden... If you go to the Everett site and a tall young man is behind the counter, walk out and drive down the street to Cedar grove. I have been hauling materials in and out of this place for a year and this RUDE PUNK acting kid when he is on shift is very unfriendly and will try and rip you off at every chance. I hauled in 3 yards of brush last week he went out and measured the load and tried to charge me for 4 yards, I explained to him it was three and he needs to do his math correctly he said that it measured over 3 therefor I had to pay for 4 I said that I would be taking my business down the street. Excellent Customer Service! My family had always used Pacific Topsoils over the years, and I used them for gravel at my store for a French Drain. Recently I needed some Premium top soil to fill sags and divots in my lawn. Price was fair, delivered on time. I ordered 6 yards. After spreading, I was unsatisfied with the mix...a little too much bark & pea gravel. I called the office, the receptionist, who was very friendly, took my info and had me leave a voicemail for their customer service rep. I left a message at 10am, and by 1pm the same day, Jon Barnes, was at my house taking pictures and making an assessment in person. He made apologies for the product and explained what went wrong in the sifting process. He offered a refund or credit with no hesitation or hoops for me to jump through. As a business owner myself, I understand a service was rendered and overall I got what I paid for, so I didn't want a full refund because one was not owed to me. But Jon had a great solution; He had a couple more yards of finer 50/50 sand & compost mix delivered the next morning, to smooth over the top soil. And gave us another bag of grass seed, since we had already seeded after spreading the topsoil. Just to recap; in less than 24 hours from contacting customer service, Jon arrived to my home in person and the great team at Pacific Topsoils had exceeded my expectations & completely resolved my issues. Recently purchased appx 5 yards of "Special Garden Mix" for my new raised garden beds. After spending $150 and several backbreaking hours getting the soil into the beds, every beautiful plant I planted is turning yellow and/or dying. After three weeks plants are stunted; no growth at all. Seeds planted will not germinate. All that money, work, and time spent for nothing. Disgusted. read more

Absolutely the worst soil we've ever received. We ordered their "premium" soil and graded a yard with it. Two months later as the soil settles I rake out a bucket-full of pea gravel every week. The chunks of asphalt roofing are an especially nice touch... For their premium soil. read more

Contacted Pacific Topsoils and they offered various quotes for delivery of bark or their blow-in service. Prices were more than fair and I ended up having 4 yards of bark delivered. I called on a Tuesday for a quote and they could deliver that very weekend. I was very surprised they had such a quick turnaround time as I ordered the first nice weekend in Seattle so EVERYONE was working in their yards. The delivery was on-time and they were super helpful in dropping the bark load on top of a tarp I had placed in my driveway. I'd absolutely use this company again and would likely save myself the time and just pay to have the bark blown in next time. :) read more

The delivery truck driver was great, spot on drop. The "soil" I bought for my raised garden beds was supposed to be mulch, compost, dirt, etc. I didn't know I was going to get plastic bits, rubber pieces, glass and even a golf tee. "SPECIAL GARDEN MIX" IS JUNK. In early March 2019, I ordered 5 cubic yards of Pacific Top Soil's "Special Garden Mix" for $395.94. I had just built three 4' x 8' raised garden beds that I needed to fill. Fast forward to now (the beginning of June 2019) and the starts I planted back in early March 2019 have hardly grown at all and we have had a lot of sunshine. I have fertilized. The soil product is very dense and heavy, not very 'breathable' at all. I recently had to purchase potting soil, which I will use to help amend and aerate the soil i purchased from Pacific Topsoils. Really disappointed in the "special garden mix" product, especially for its cost. There was nothing "special" about it. If you would like a top dressing that will not grow plants well at all, this will be a great selection. However, I would probably have better luck with plants actually growing or fruiting using fill dirt or sand. read more

What a F- ing nightmare!!! Purchased this companies Supreme Mix. 12 cubic yards of it for an extensive vegetable bed. While moving the mountain of soil from the driveway, we did notice the small goldish/orange worms in the soil. Lots of them. Also the many beetles. Also after moving about half the soil there was an disgusting swarm of bee/fly like insects. After filling the large planter boxes (6-4'x8'x2' boxes) we planted and seeded and the boxes. We notice over the next week the soil appeared to be moving. Thousands of tiny gnats on the surface of all the soil. We began our research at that point.... This soil is infested with fungus gnats, click beetles and their larva - wire worm. Look these pest up, they are a menace in the garden! In the weeks to follow the seedlings would spout but not grow, the established plants we planted became week and died out. I began to examine the roots and found the tiny worms (wire worms) netted within the roots sucking the life out of anything trying to grow in the soil. I can't tell you how after all the work and anticipation, just how devastating this all is. This soil is worthless, it is diseased and has infested our entire property. Nothing grows in it. Eradicating the gnats, beetles and wire worms is proving to be impossible in an organic, non-toxic chemical fashion. Do not buy from these people. They are passing off a sick and severely infested product. read more

Their pricing is reasonable; however, their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. After using their service, we were out of the country for a week so we didn't get their messages for payment (4 days in a row) but they did have our credit card on file. So upon our return (less than two weeks later) we pay our bill yet we receive a letter in the mail demanding our payment and threatening to send us to collections. Never received a receipt from them with an opportunity to provide payment, just a threatening letter. We have never worked with a business that threatens to send people to collections less than 30 days after the service was performed. Truly ridiculous. We will never use this service again. read more
