Reached out by email asking for a quote for a rather large and heavy item (that also required special disposal) - was also sure to provide a link to it - and received a prompt response within a couple hours of submitting the inquiry (on a weekday). The estimate provided was competitive, so I scheduled an appointment for later in the week online, though based on their scheduling system, it seemed possible to schedule an appointment for next day if needed. On the day of pickup, they called about 20 minutes before arriving (during the scheduled/requested time window) to give me a heads up. When they arrived, they (actually just one guy) took a couple of pictures of the item he was picking up and texted/called the main office to confirm receipt. I was told to wait while he loaded the item into the truck and returned about 5-10 minutes later with a paper clipboard (with the handwritten paper receipt) and a credit card reader. The price I was charged exactly matched what I was quoted for before scheduling the online appointment. It got the job done, but I was a bit surprised by how unsophisticated the process was. I had a rather simple task this time, but I'll be sure to consider Dump-It the next time around. read more

Good service but deceptive rates. They rounded up generously to 1/4 truck load for something that could fit in less than 1/8th if stacked up. They didn't appear to measure anything, just took a photo. Perhaps they estimated digitally, but I used an actual measuring tape. My advice: if you have a small load, condense it in one spot for them so they give you a more fair estimate, otherwise they will bias toward charging you as much as possible. On the bright side, it was very easy to schedule, they were on time, and quick with the removal. read more

4.5 stars easy Would be five stars but they have to run estimates and receipts by the office, which adds a few minutes. Great website--easy to book online, even from a phone. I set up the whole thing, including how much stuff they needed to grab. The kids who showed up had clearly read the job booking, which doesn't happen with every company. They called about 30 minutes ahead, as expected. Nice kids on the phone. Showed up right on time, near the beginning of the 2-hour arrival window that we're all used to getting from various different home services. Truck was clean and running well, kids were cheerful and not covered with gunk. They bantered and cracked each other up the whole time they cleared out one bay of my garage. I definitely add points for cheerful workers. They had everything cleared out almost before I turned around. I waited a little while for them to get everything they needed back from their HQ. I ended up going inside 'cause it's chilly today, but it didn't take too long. Paying was easy; they allow tips on their e-payment platform, which I think is cool for the kids doing the work. They gave me a paper receipt. I've used at least one other removal service and the pricing was right in line with what these folks charge. Much as I'd like to clear out my yard and garage myself and not pay a little extra, it really is nice to just open the door and have someone else do the work. Unfortunately I can't recommend Dump-It. They don't do as they say, and they don't respond to followup contact. I set up an appointment for a sectional couch. I was expecting a confirmation email, per the website, but none came. I called the next day to confirm, and I did get a return confirmation call. The website states base prices, so I was expecting between 55 and 85, plus they state an estimate will be given before the service is started. I did not get an estimate and I did not find out the price until the couch was already loaded. One of the workers did snap a picture of the couch and send it, so I thought the estimate would be coming shortly. I ended up being charged $135 plus tax. I paid since the couch was already loaded. I ended up contacting the company asking for a refund and explaining my situation. I did not hear from them. The workers were polite and responsive. They seemed to know what they were doing. If price and honoring their word is not important to you, than this might be a good choice in a fix. read more

I am a repeat customer and the Dump it crews never disappoints me. They always show up on time and update me on the pick up window. Today Juvion and Troy arrived to handle the job. They verified if I had any pets they should be aware of and were polite providing me with an estimate for to remove an upholstered bed frame and adjustable base. Requesting service online was really easy and quick; I was able to get a team here with very short notice and loved how easy it was. I do understand one of the reviews that was unhappy with the cost being higher than expected (that was also my experience) but it was still a reasonable amount. If I had the vehicle and time to bring something to the nearest dump and have it weighed, I would saved quite a bit, but I don't have the vehicle or the time. So I'm not giving 5-stars, as I understand the expectation of cost being a surprise, but the guys were quick, professional, and nice. The whole thing figuratively and literally took a weight off me. We did a purge, 15 years of junk needed to be removed, after a little mix on whether they picked up at our location, a quick phone call sorted it out. Received a call 30 minutes before they arrived. They back the truck up, took a few photos, and we all came to the conclusion it would probably be a full truck. I have used them 3 times now. First time was a couple years ago, they quickly took all the junk I needed cleared out of our storage room, and patio, and left it nice and clean! I was so pleased with their service that I hired them again when we were moving. We had a sectional sofa and ottoman in bad shape, and some random junk we needed to get out of the way. Price was very reasonable, and totally worth it. Later that same week I was in panic mode because we had to be out of our house in a couple days, and still had a LOT of stuff we didn't want to take with us. These guys went from heroes to zeros with a quickness. They were great a couple years ago. Back Then: showed up on time; friendly and professional behavior; competitive prices. Now: unprofessional and ridiculous as evidenced by cancelling our appointment at the last minute because they overloaded the truck at a previous location/job (repeat after me: lack of planning on your part should not cause a problem for me); canceling rescheduled appointment (see above and below) at the last minute for lame, flaky reason(s). To be clear, I wrote this company off as soon as they cancelled the first time. My husband is more forgiving vs. more codependent (depending on point of view) than I. I wanted them nowhere near my home after they did us dirt the first time. Now, even my husband agrees they suck. I wish I could have back all the cash tips, recommendations, referrals etc. I gave these clowns. What a bunch of dummies. read more

We just used Dump-It to clear out old furniture and other stuff we've been holding on to for way too long. I shopped around a bit for the best price, junk removal isn't cheap but this company seemed reasonable. I am very happy we went with them. Online booking was fast and easy, I estimated my own costs based on their pricing so I didn't call for a quote. Plus they can't really price you without seeing your stuff, so I figured that was a waste of everyone's time. The drivers were courteous and efficient. The estimate I created based on their pricing guide and how much stuff we had was well over what they actually charged us so I feel it was a very good value. Plus it only took them 25 minutes. we had staged the stuff in the yard for efficiency but 25 minutes is still very quick work. Looking online for a junk company to remove only an apartment size refrigerator and small 24 inch stove. I saw an add for Dump-it saying they had the lowest prices in Seattle! Since I had a small job, I made the call. Online they advertise a price for a small job starting at $55.00. Cool, I have a small job. The guys came early which was great! I don't know what equates $55.00, because I was told it would be over $155.00, then they gave me no choice but to leave a tip starting at $25.00 for 15% and options for tips above that. It took them about 10 mins to remove 2 small items and I was left with a $179.00 charge. Lesson learned. The city will remove these items for about $68.00. read more

We've used Dump-It Junk Removal 5 times over the last 3 years and they always provide exemplary service. They're punctual, efficient, and affordable. The crew is always friendly and it seems like they enjoy what they do. My favorite part is they will sort through what is garbage vs. what can be recycled or donated which saves us a lot of work and we don't have to worry about things ending up in a landfill unnecessarily. It's such a relief to have a clean garage again. But we always seem to accumulate more stuff, so it probably won't be long before we'll look forward to hiring them again! read more

I had a sectional sofa to move with a bed so I figured it would be 1/8th of a truck since they advertised their trucks were larger than 1-800-Junk. Yeah about a foot. So I paid about $50 more than expected and on top of that the movers wanted a gratuity for 15 minutes of work. This company needs to pay their people better and let me decide if I want to tip. That was awkward as hell. I think they rely on the fact that you're held hostage or they can just go and you're stuck. I need to get rid of this old sofa, clean the carpet and have a new sofa delivered the next day. So I did it but there won't be an repeat business with this company. read more

Arrived right on schedule, after giving me a courtesy call to let me know they were 15 minutes away. They gave me what turned out to be a super accurate estimate, and after receiving my approval they quickly and efficiently loaded up my pile of junk. What took me years to accumulate and two weeks to sift through and gather up was gone in about twenty minutes. I couldn't be more satisfied with this entire experience. Dump-It service is Great! I scheduled an appointment and 2 engineers come to my house with the truck! They are professional and fast! They first took a photo and estimate the price, the price is good and reasonable! after that they moved all stuff into the truck in about 15 minutes, they also help me clean the garage.
