Dump it came this morning and was done in about 15 minutes! We had quite a lot of stuff (at least we think we did) on three different levels of our house. They came on time, were super friendly and efficient. I'm sorry I don't remember their names :( But both of them had high praise for their employer, the company and had smiles of their faces the entire time. All of the five star reviews on here are well-deserved. The two great guys who came with the truck were right on time, super friendly and polite. They worked with me to pick through just the stuff I needed gone and worked quickly and efficiently. I couldn't have asked for any better service, and the cost came in right under the estimate they gave me. They came to our house for purpose of removing yard waste, that was I told them when they got here. Then I asked them that we have more junk in the other side of the house if there was space to move those as well, they start removing other junks first, I assumed all will be fit in one load that is why they go with those junk first! I specified couple times to remove the metals last or not touch it at all! some how truck got full without touching any of the yard waste and they took the metals!! And one of the boy came and requested for payment and then told us that we need to schedule another appointment for yard waste! I mean why they didn't clarify at first that they won't be able to remove all the junks at once today!!! Still I said fine we will get another appointment, I scheduled another appointment with same company for next day morning! Here are boys showing up and telling that our company is not removing this kind of yard waste (bushes and trees)! Well why personals that came first day didn't mentioned that! Made an appointment online today around 7 am. They came around 10 am. Nice guys, picked up the junk on the side of my house and even swept away the leaves that were there. They picked up some wood, two broken mirrors, a toilet, and some cardboard boxes. They said that since my stuff was the size of a couch, they charged me $85. Feels good to get rid of all that stuff that was haunting me for months! So glad I finally called someone about it and that they were so efficient and easy to deal with. read more

The second worst part of downsizing/thinning the hoarding out of ones' life is finding a way to get it all out of the house. Unless you have a truck, you either have to beg, borrow, or steal one. Then you have the logistics of getting to your local transfer station on one of the three days they're open. Enter Dump-It. We found them on Yelp and reviewed the services they provide. Since geographically they seemed closer to us, we created an appointment through their website. Easy peasy, took all of two minutes to lock up a time and date that was convenient. As promised, they called me 20-30 minutes before heading over to the house. The guys were polite, friendly, and exceptionally efficient. They took a 30 minute load-up (our crap was centrally piled) and got it done in 10. The estimate was significantly less than I thought it would be; I set my expectations based on comments here and using their website as a measure and they came in easily below what I thought. It could be I thought the mess was bigger than it was, but I'm a guy so thinking things are bigger isn't particularly new. All in all, a fantastic, completely painless experience. Dump-It's help is the first shot across the bow that's going to give us the momentum we need to really de-clutter our lives. I would definitely use them again (and probably will for Round 2.) We were in the middle of doing a remodel and the junk was accumulating quickly. I first looked into 1-800-got-junk and booked before doing much research. Then I came across Dump-It. Not only were they just cheaper, but also had larger trucks that could haul more junk away. I cancelled the other company and booked Dump-It. Their website allowed scheduling online and I was able to book them just 1 day out. It snowed the night before they were scheduled to arrive. There was around 3 inches of snow on the roads. Not a lot, but we all know how Snowmageddon strikes if the puget sound receives more than a dusting. We're also deep in the boonies and last to get plowed, so I was not going to be surprised if they cancelled or showed up late. They were neither. They arrived arrived right on time. They hauled all the junk from the wet, soggy pile from our backyard with no complaints. It was also around 30 degrees out, so super cold. They removed another pile of junk from our garage. By pile, I mean taking up about 1/3 of our 2 car garage. There were also materials for our remodel in the garage that we needed to keep. They followed directions perfectly and only took the junk. They also took the time to sweep and clean much of the garage after the pile was gone. I would hire these guys again in a heartbeat. Dump-It Junk Removal is the way to go from start to finish! I called and spoke with Wendy and she was able to get me a quote and a pickup time just from a few pictures I was able to send her, even though I was out of their service area. Mind you, I had quite a bit of stuff to be picked up! The quote was very fair and I was very happy with getting everything scheduled. On delivery day, I received a call from Seth and Kendall about 35 minutes before they were to arrive and even BEFORE my scheduled 2 hour arrival window, that they were on their way for the pickup! Both Seth and Kendall were very professional, considerate and careful with my property to make sure that the removal was efficient and safe! They worked fast and very well together and I even enjoyed some nice banter with them both! They are rockstars and I cannot say enough nice things about them! After everything is said and done, this removal was not only easy, quick and efficient, it also helped relieve a lot of stress from my life and it was made all the better by their high level of service and the amazing people they employ! I couldn't recommend this service any more. Loved the price comparison on the website, plus how easy it was to schedule a pickup. They actually arrived 45 mins early (called ahead to confirm), and were so sweet and efficient. It was a hot day and they had to go up and down the stairs so many times but they did it without any complaints. I had between a 1/4 and 1/2 truck worth of items and they were done in about 30 minutes. Even for a minimum truck load I would absolutely hire them again in the future! read more

They had to navigate stairs, narrow hallways, and a large parking lot and they were extremely quick about it, never complained one bit, and were very cordial. Tried them out based on all of the great reviews. Here is my honest experience with them: I live in Mill Creek WA. I was given a window of 10am-12pm. They showed up at 12:15pm. Not a big deal as they called me to let me know they were running late. They looked at the pile of junk, estimated the volume that it would take up in the truck, and quoted me a price that seemed fair to me. About midway through, they realized that they had under-quoted me, by quite a bit actually. They asked me to look at the truck, and could clearly see that they packed it as tight as they could, so it is what it is. The items took up more space than they anticipated. Although the cost of removal increased, I was fine with it because fair is fair. I'm paying by volume, so if the items took up more space, I should obviously pay for that space. Again, not a big deal. Despite the under estimation of how much junk I really had, I found Gino and Mike to be honest, fast, and friendly. I would definitely recommend them, and will more than likely recruit their services in the future. Overall, I feel they did a great job. read more

tl;dr - the guys that showed up were awesome, professional, courteous, and quick. They charged more than was advertised and when I got a call from the boss lady to explain why, it devolved into her yelling at me and threatening to dump the trash back in my yard. If you get an accurate quote up front and have no reason to ever speak to this person, I'd recommend them since everyone else was super pleasant. May God have mercy on your soul if you need anything "customer service" related. Hokay, so... Just had these guys come out to pick up a mattress. Website says minimum charge for household items/furniture is $55. Guys show up, are super friendly and nice, take my mattress, throw it in the truck, then bring me a receipt for $75+ tax. I immediately question the price and show them the website pricing list. They, in turn, show me their laminated pricing sheet that shows mattresses are $75. Well, the job is already done and the mattress is already in the truck so I agree to pay and resign to sending an email asking about the pricing difference. Within 10min of sending that email I get a phone call...so far service has been fast and friendly and, aside from the pricing difference, relatively pleasant. Enter the lady who called me. Aggressive, rude, accusatory, and at times demeaning. My request was simple: please show me where I missed the mattress specific pricing on the website, if it's there. If not, please consider a refund of the difference between the $75 I was charged and the $55 advertised. Considering the crew did not give an estimate for the job when they arrived (as is their policy), and considering the website clearly advertises a different price, I didn't think this was a ridiculous request. It's only $20 we're talking about here and I had already paid it; I was fully prepared to receive a response along the lines of "I'm sorry the crew didn't follow procedure, this would have told you up front that the cost was $75 and you could have refused service if the fee was too high. Unfortunately there's nothing we can do at this point." However, the woman decided to yell at me over the phone about how prices are based on volume and then said a standard refrigerator would fall into the $55 category but a queen size mattress wouldn't. The volume of a standard refrigerator is 88000in^3 while the volume of a queen size mattress is 58000in^3, tops. So no, that's not how this works. She then began to explain to me how prices aren't "black and white" or set in stone even though they're literally printed in black and white and laminated on pricing sheets. She continued to yell at me that I should have just called to schedule the appointment instead of using the online form and she would have told me over the phone what the price was. Well, if I'm going to get the wrong quote using the online system, maybe fix the online system? Or maybe don't have an online system? She offered to send the crew back to dump the trash back at my place for a refund. I tried to explain that the cost of labor and gas, not to mention the refund she was about to issue would far outweigh the cost of a $20 refund but at this point in the conversation she wasn't really listening to me. I refused this offer and as the call is wrapping up, she threatens to send her crew back to dump the trash on my curb anyway even though I made it clear I didn't want that (no, I don't want the trash back that I just paid you to remove). Based on the other ratings I'd say normally these guys are great. Today, however, they [she] earned this one star review. read more

I had a large room covered in drywall and plaster demolition debris. They even took pictures as it was one of the more epic messes they have hauled. I didn't have any of it bagged either. They quoted me a price, I agreed, and 45 minutes later the truck was 3/4 full and my floor was clean of what was essentially concrete wall pieces. They worked fast, cost exactly what they quoted (I paid a $150 surcharge for heavy material), and cleaned out everything I asked them to. It was expensive, but very price competitive to other services in the area. If I had a big haul away job I'd definitely use them again. read more

Love this service. I called a few places before going with these guys. They have the best price and even though other companies offered to price match I felt they had the best customer experience. When I called I got all the info I needed before I talked to someone and then after he gave me a quote I decided is go with them and booked everything online. It was so easy. They sent me a reminder and the guys called ten minutes before they arrived. They were so helpful. I'm a busy and tired mom and even something as simple as taking a bed frame apart seemed like a huge task for me. They did indeed remove everything from my apartment. My only reservation, and this is probably my fault for not reading the fine print or double checking on the phone, is that I understood that the cost was purely based on how much room my stuff would take in the truck, and as I had an amount of things I would have liked to donate this seemed like a good deal. I was told on the phone to separate the items I'd like to donate from the rest of the junk and tell the workers when they showed up what was what. When they arrived I was told that was possible but that there would be an additional hauling fee as I was in a second floor apartment, so this was disappointing. The positive was that the service was quick, they were able to come in a short notice. Two stars for that. What I am highly critical of is the crew's 1. Inability to estimate the amount of the junk and if everything should fit in one truck load and if not, how much does not, and 2. Effort to load the truck efficiently. I.e. The being truly professional so that end customer does not need to be. The junk to be removed (80% of which was cedar decking boards and long deck benches) was in 5-6 neat piles, cedar boards were even in different piles depending on the length of the board. Their truck is 17 yards and I had measured myself that the amount of stuff is clearly less than that. The crew, on the other hand, does not even carry a measuring tape so how could they even make a good estimate. Before loading the crew had said that not all may fit. The end result was that only half, if even that, fit in the truck. So not only did their estimate was bad but they apparently just threw the boards in, wasting the space were going to pay for. Unfortunately my mistake was that I was not there, my wife was and I did not brief my wife well enough in advance. So yes, my wife should have required a better estimate to begin with (and asked for an actual quote from them) and she should have checked how they load the truck. But as a business owner myself, I truly believe that this should not really be on the end customer, a good company provides good service, across the board and, for every customer every day. Good companies do not leave quality control to the end customer. My wife simply did know to demand more. I called them 4 days later when I finally had time to do so and had a long discussion with their representative, explaining why I was not happy with the service provided (explaining what I say above). I was also vaguely hoping that they would reimburse some of money $500 but kind of understand they would not do so afterwards. I did also let them know that I would write this somewhat negative review. However, while the representative was willing to discuss and was fairly polite, it became even clearer that they put it on the end customer. They say everything was done "according to instructions". They also say that they would unload after loading the truck if the customer is not happy. Who does that? What they are telling you between the lines is that you need to know better (than they do) and you need to monitor everything they do. That's not the definition of good customer service to me. read more
