I've been coming here for auto service for a while. They're affordable, friendly, and generally polite, and I hadn't had any major issues before. However, my last couple of visits confirmed that I won't be returning. I spoke with Isaac on the phone the day before about picking up my truck. Imagine my surprise when I dropped off my rental and arrived to find my truck completely taken apart and not ready at all. No one called or updated me to let me know there was a delay. When I asked why I wasn't contacted, I got no response. Not to mention I dropped off my truck Monday the 19th! This was a huge waste of my time and honestly felt disrespectful. I had to scramble last minute to find transportation to work and handle my day. To make matters worse, when I finally picked up the truck, the check engine light was on -- something we had already discussed previously. PLUS my car is STILL leaking oil the main thing I bought it in for and paid for soooooo they had it for FOUR days and charged me and fixed NOTHING. Disappointed is not the word is I could give zero stars I would. Overall, very disappointing experience after what had been decent service in the past. wtfffff read more

At first I was pleased with the work they did on my car the first time. I was needed more work on my vehicle but for some reason they started to give me the run around. My car feels the same. It still has pulling feeling. I don't know if they really fixed my car or not. Also, the communication is not great at all. I am taking my car somewhere else. Let me start by saying I downloaded Yelp specifically to write a great review here because it's rare you ever find places this reliable for a great price, with such personable support. I was referred by my friend when I had a U-joint and bearing in my drive train broken. Toyota wanted to replace the whole thing which would have been more than I could afford. Guillermo and his crew were able to fix the issue along with replace my AC for a more than reasonable price (military gets a discount too!). Then 5 mo later my rear main seal on my tranny was leaking, which involves a ton of maintenance. The the truck runs great! Not only their professionalism on job completion, but he would literally send texts and photos of the job while they're doing it to keep me posted on what's wrong, and what they're doing. read more

I found Pacific Star on RepairPal website. My car had failed the smog and needed to a repair for the code P0403 found by Smog Test Center. Pacific Star was available for the earliest appointment and when I brought my car in, the manager or personnel (named Guillermo) in charge was not available. Guillermo was really nice and HONEST. He had already ordered and ready to install the new EGR but verifying that the EGR was not cabled tight, he simply re-attached (and cleaned a bit) and instructed me to drive for at least 50+ miles and to return for a check-up to see if the check engine light will go off. I did and it worked and he only charged me $50. for the labor. He could have just replaced it and charge me whole lot more but did not. I did not go back to the old shop (ATD) where I used to take all my cars for services because I found them to be dishonest and rude (after change of management). I came here because they had good ratings, but my experience was the opposite. I called in before I came to verify if they could take care of my side view mirror, which had been knocked loose. They said "Sure, bring it in", and they would take a look at it. About 20 min later, I brought my car over and pulled in. A mechanic (older man) stopped working on a car for a minute, walked over and just gave me a weird look. I thought he was coming to talk to me so I rolled down my window. He turned around and went back to the car he was working on. I got out and stood there for a few seconds to see if he would say something, and he didn't. I walked over to the office, which was completely empty. I thought ok maybe they're busy, so I waited in there for several minutes and even looked back by the restrooms. The only people there were the two guys out front, who continued to ignore me. I got on the phone and called another nearby shop (Raul Auto Body and Paint which they ended up helping me out). I walked out to my car and left. They never attempted to help me out or acknowledge me the entire time, even though I called ahead, they clearly saw me and just gave me an awkward look, and I waited for several minutes in the office. Undoubtedly the best car service in town. They are upfront, honest, and communicative in the work that is required. They tell you exactly what your vehicle needs and doesn't need. My vehicle needed upper ball joints bad and they provided several options to replace them while doing some other much needed work like control arm bushings, tie rod ends and sway bar bushings. The mechanics here are great! They work fast and they always keep you updated. Most importantly they are HONEST. I had taken my car to get services at a couple different places before I was referred here by my sister. When I came to get some work done on my brakes I was expecting an expensive bill. I didn't even bother asking for an estimate because I had called a couple places before so I assumed the expense of the whole service. But Guerimo (the shop owner) handed me the bill and it was such a great deal for quick service! And even being a girl he and his mechanics explain the whole process of the services they did. I think it's really kind of them to fill me in even if I don't understand everything. Even if go months without seeing them and I call to get an oil change they remember me. Great customer service! This business owner is a Liar first of all. If he says he is going to call you he doesnt. (Went in to personally in his face , leave my number 4 times).He said job would take 3-6 days max, well 2 months pass by and he delays the job because he says his workers dont know how to fix certain jobs that his business claims they can do, and still turnaround in 3-6 days. Which will be a lie. Then this guy says i need suspension parts to test the alignment. Sent him the parts and assured him my current parts are good, and to save them so i can return the test parts ($350), and use originals. Well i went to pickup my car after getting no calls or follow ups in approximately 2 months. He didnt ever do the job, just replaced the test parts i gave him, and he says he lost the original parts, or maybe trashed them. There goes 60 days and $350, on top of that still a damaged car. My dad owns a mechanic shop, and i have been in the car industry all my life. This is the worst you will see, just a bunch of people there that will happily take your money. Avoid this place at all costs and please do your due diligence. read more
