I am so grateful that I found Liisa and BodyWorks Collision. I was rear-ended pretty bad, as part of a chain reaction collision. I live in an area where there are body shops on every corner, but none of them had good reviews. I decided to give BodyWorks a call and from the minute I called I could tell that Liisa knew her stuff. She advised me on the entire process without even confirming that I was going to give her my business. I didn't get any predatory vibes and I really liked that the shop is female owned. My car ended up being a total loss so I can't speak to the body Work of the team, but I can only imagine that they do immaculate work. They were incredibly detailed oriented during the takedown and inspection of my car. Liisa really helped me navigate the Insurance side of things, which really was a life saver. She is a hard worker, humble, approachable, professional and kind. I really feel like I found my accident fairy godmother. I would recommend this business to anyone. Thank you Liisa and team for making a bad situation just a little more manageable! read more

Liisa, the owner, was amazing. She got the spoiler on my car fixed in minutes. I admire her as a knowledgeable woman in a male dominated profession. I was grateful to have met her and I highly recommend her to anyone that needs body work done. read more

What a great small business!! Multiple friends have had work done here and all were top notch!! I have been here many times also and Liisa is a huge contribution to the local community!! IB is a great community to live and work in, and Body Works is a part of that!! Thank you Liisa and your team for everything!! read more

I can't recommend this shop and Liisa enough. I was in an accident where the other driver was at fault and paid out of pocket and Liisa was so communicative with myself as well as the other party. She was able to get an estimate same day and fixed my car before the estimated time that she had originally quoted. My car looks so incredible and I especially loved the detail at the end. It definitely looks better than when I brought it in! Also super impressed with the recalibration that was done on my Subaru because it can be tricky with all the smart accessories. I would not hesitate to come back here and recommend anyone else to as well! read more

Terrible experience with Body Works Collison in Imperial Beach. I dropped my car off for a simple estimate, and they kept it for TWO WEEKS without providing any real updates. I had to call multiple times just to get basic information, and every time it was the same story: "we will get to it" -- but no one ever did, and the elderly lady working the front desk seemed to be under the influence of something. read more

Liisa helped us navigate our situation when our vehicle ended up being totaled. Even though we did not end up having to use collision services, she stuck with us every step of the way when communicating with our insurance company. She really cares for her community and it shows. Although I hope to never actually end up using her services, I know who to turn to if I ever need it. Thank you again very much Liisa! read more

I worked with Lisa at BodyWorks Collision in July when I came in to receive a quote for fender and wheel frame damage to my 2023 Toyota Prius from an eroded gravel drop-off into a parking area. The public works of the city where it happened agreed the public parking area should have been better maintained (as it had undergone previous work earlier for similar drop-off erosion issues).. Lisa and her team assessed the damage and provided a quote, along with communicating the expectation that they wouldn't truly know what was going on until they removed the frame. Because the car is relatively new, I wanted to be sure that genuine Toyota parts would be used in the replacement, which Lisa completely agreed with was the right and best thing to do to ensure quality fit and same materials, etc.. The quote was competitive and fair. Lisa estimated the work would take up to 14 days, and it was completed within 8 or 9 days. Lisa was great about communicating the right amount throughout the repair work. When I picked up my car, they had completely detailed it inside and out of the car at no additional cost (which she had shared was their practice) and the repair was flawless. Thank you, professional, service-oriented, and friendly Lisa and the amazing team at BodyWorks Collision. 5 STARS! Highly recommended! read more

The stereotype about drivers of a certain gender and ethnicity happens to be very true about me, so I (an Asian female) visit her often. I absolutely love her... she's honest, helpful, and fairly priced... most importantly she does amazing work. It's the only collision shop I use and recommend. read more

Liisa is absolutely amazing! she will definitely take care of your vehicle, but more importantly she will take care of you. She had told me up front that my vehicle was most likely going to be declared as a total loss, and when it was she gave me all the information I needed and also helped me get the payout that I deserved because "she works for you and not the insurance companies" if something like this ever happens again Liisa will be my first call! read more

"Absolute worst experience I've ever had with a body shop. I called just to get a rough estimate, and Lisa, who answered the phone, was shockingly rude and condescending. She refused to give any kind of ballpark quote over the phone, as if asking for basic info was some massive inconvenience. Her attitude was unprofessional and downright disrespectful. If their customer service is this bad, I can't imagine trusting them with my car. Avoid this place at all costs!" read more

Sometimes it really is better to receive services locally. After a very unpleasant experience at Crash Champions for our auto repair, we researched Yelp for a local auto body shop here in Imperial Beach. The great reviews for body works Collision were spot on. Lisa took care of everything..and I mean everything. The repair to our car was excellent, done in a timely manner and we felt like old friends...after being treated like a claim number at one of those larger shops. read more

I cannot say more good things about Jose and his staff as they did an outstanding job on my 2014 GT500. Great paint job. Flawless job, best prices and just overall outstanding and caring service. I have already sent two of my relatives they did an amazing job for them too. 5 star service and you will have a hard time beating their work and pricing. read more

Bodyworks Collision - Body Shops Near Me - Imperial Beach, California

Simply the best body shop in the South Bay - Period. Whether you're in the North County or down in Imperial Beach, this shop is worth a trip for any auto body or paint need. I've been to a few, including my Grandpa's shop, and can tell you that this clean, large shop is a leftover from the past. How so, you may ask? A past where the owner says what she means and means what she says, and where work is over-delivered, not the other way around. Liisa runs a great operation near the corner of 10th and Palm, and has some of the more talented body and paint guys I've seen in while, working for her. No double-talk here, she'll give you a quick and honest estimate, and stick with it at the end. I would put the paint quality at the highest level - Yep, that good. I dropped off a set of take-off wheels to be refinished in a custom color, and they came out in what I would term show-car quality. OEM in appearance with deep, even color and rock-solid clear, without a hint of orange peel or runs. Call and talk to Liisa - Her can-do attitude will surprise you on any job, and there's just no BS in this woman. Great shop, and they've earned my business for life. read more

While I would never hope a to have another accident, I would definitely bring my car back here. I had to replace my passenger side mirror and after doing some research and calling around, I chose BodyWorks. The owner Lisa was great. I can't stress that enough. Honest, trustworthy and reliable. She ordered my parts and my car was in the shop in 3 days. Unfortunately the factory sent the wrong part. Which wasn't discovered until the technician was an hour into the process. Lisa apologized and didn't charge me for the time and work already done. It was a great experience despite the annoyance of being in an accident. Take your car here. You will not regret it. read more

This is hands down the best experience I have ever had with a body shop in my life. Customer service second to none, my car was completed 2 days ahead of schedule and exactly at what I was quoted. This is the only body shop I will use in the San Diego bar none. read more

Liisa killed it. I brought my Fiat here for a repair and she did a thorough consultation. Her quote was about Three times higher than the guy who looked at it before her. This is how I knew she was being real. When you get a suspiciously low quote on repairs it usually means they'll be calling you once your car is torn apart to tell you about "discoveries". Liisa got right to it. I knew that her quality of work would meet her thorough consult and it did. Any additional suggestions she offered were just that - suggestions. She was clear about what needed to be done vs what was something to keep in mind for the future. My car looks great. My only regret is not getting it taken care of sooner! Thanks Liisa read more

Wow! I had a great experience here! I was driving down to a work conference in Imperial Beach and along the way both by front and back bumpers were falling off. They had needed some repair for awhile, but they started to become a hazard. I arrived on a Monday evening and was going to leave on a Thursday morning. Liisa met me on Monday right before her shop closed, assessed what needed to be done, took my car, and told me that she would do everything she could to get parts ordered, the car repaired, and everything ready to go by Thursday. She followed through! The car was ready even earlier on Thursday than I anticipated. Liisa is so professional, up front, and kind. Those are rare qualities and so appreciated. I highly recommend Bodyworks for any needed repairs. read more

Liisa and Body Works, in my humble opinion, is beyond great, beyond fantastic! Over the years, Liisa has worked on 3 different cars of mine. Every time the service seems to be smoother and better. Liisa is so helpful, she knows the ins and outs of dealing with insurance and most importantly getting my car better in tip top shape. Liisa is always more than fair right down to the detailing she's always had done on my cars prior to pick up. Thank you Liisa ... you have a forever customer! read more

This is the best body/auto shop I have ever worked with. Lisa (store manager) and her technicians (I worked with Jose) are extremely professional and reasonable. Very easy to work with and very easy to get hold of my GEICO agent new them and had did business with them before

Perfect job of the owner ! Her name is lisa she helped me out with my left mirror with no cost

Was highly recommended by a friend to bring my car to Joe here at BodyWorks Collision, LLC after scratching it. Joe was very thorough during the consultation when explaining the process. You can tell he really knows what he's doing and cares about getting the color as perfect as possible. My car is pearl white so I was really worried about that, but it came out perfect! He handled everything through my insurance and made the process very easy for me. He's very responsive, friendly and professional. If you're looking for a highly skilled body shop, I definitely recommend giving him a call. Thank you, Joe and Nelly, for making my car look brand new again!!! read more

I have heard great things about Lisa @ Body Works collision in Imperial Beach. Great is an understatement. She made sure my car was painted and done as promised and done right. I was involved in a three car accident in early July in which my 2002 Saturn Vue was rear-ended and pushed into the vehicle in front of me. Being relatively new to Southern California, I had very little knowledge of auto repair shops in the area. At the suggestion of the tow truck driver, I had my car towed to BodyWorks Collisions in Chula Vista (near where the accident happened). Rarely have I been so happy with the service I received. When we arrived at BodyWorks, the owner, Liisa Thomas welcomed me into her office and offered me a drink of water. She paid for the tow, saying she would be reimbursed by the insurance company. I was a little shaken up by the accident, since it was the first one I'd ever been involved in as a driver. Liisa immediately made me feel better with her caring attitude and knowledge of the process. The insurance company ruled my Saturn a total loss. I wanted to keep the vehicle, so I accepted the lower payout and spoke with Liisa about having it repaired. She agreed to make the repairs for a very fair price. Due to the total loss business, I ended up paying some money out of pocket, but not as much as I would have at most shops. When my wife and arrived to pick up the car, I could hardly believe my eyes! It looked better than it had before the accident! In addition to the necessary repairs, the car had also been detailed (inside and out) and the non-damaged headlight had been buffed so that it matched the new one. For the next week, my co-workers all expressed amazement at how great the vehicle looked. I would recommend this shop 100% to anyone looking for auto repair. read more

What a nice surprise to pick up your car from the body shop and find that not only has it been repaired, but also fully detailed. It was washed, vacuumed; every nook and cranny was cleaned! The car has not been that clean since we first purchased it. The new paint job done by Body Works was as shiny as it was when we first purchased the car. I'd also like to commend the shop's owner, Liisa. She is very easy to talk to and goes out of her way to provide excellent work at a very affordable price. After I picked up my car and returned home, I realized that the 'low coolant' light had come on. Instead of having me come back in or add coolant myself, Liisa actually came out to me and added coolant for me! And BodyWorks is 8 miles from where I live! Talk about going above and beyond to serve a customer! I highly recommend BodyWorks! read more

We took are car to Toyota of Chula Vista...we purchased the extended warranty..they would not even look at our passenger side mirror without a $500 plus fee. Terrible. So we called Lissa Thomas, she asked us to bring it in. Lissa helped right away and popped the mirror back on the brackets. Total Charge $0.00. What a find to see BodyWorks right here in our town of Imperial Beach. I will not hesitate to bring my car back or to highly recommend her. Please feel very comfortable choosing BodyWorks Collision. If you need bodywork done on your vehicle, don't take it anywhere else but Bodyworks Collision in Imperial Beach. First and foremost, the work is exceptional. I brought my Jeep Liberty here to repair chipping, flaking paint due to rain damage. It now looks like new. Perfect paint match, smooth clear coat. Second, and equally important, the customer service is second to none. Liisa Thomas, the owner, is extremely professional, honest and after my experience, someone I trust and respect. The woman knows how to run a business. She completed the work within the estimated number of days. The workspace and office is clean and secure, her employees are courteous. So if you want to settle for a cheap, second-rate job, take it somewhere else. But if you want you and your vehicle treated right, take it to Liisa. read more
