2nd update 7.17.24 Returning customer here.. unfortunately. Brought my car back on 7.9.24 after my car was keyed on the other side. Thankfully this company was accepted by my insurance so they were able to take my vehicle in as soon as I got back from vacation. Got quoted for a week timeframe for the repairs and worked with Wawanesa and Enterprise to make sure everything was handled as smoothly as possible. Got my car back today and as usual, it's back to it's previous condition as if no damage happened. Have to come back in 10 days for my door guards to be reinstalled and another 30 for the wax/wash. Well Chula Vista Auto Body dis it again. My wife's door handle on her Rav 4 broke from sun damage. Dealer charges 60.00 for part and wanted 491.00 to install As always I went right to CVAB and spoke with Pedro, he gave me an initial quote over the phone of a rough 150.00 no more friday night. I have a brand new car that I barely purchased 2 months ago & unfortunately got rear ended. We took the car to this shop, because of the reviews. I was worried about my car not looking the same anymore, because the exterior paint is a custom pearl white, but they did an exceptional job. They ended up replacing the whole bumper & were able to match the paint to the rest of the car. My car looked as nice as I picked it up from the dealer! They even cleaned the whole car, which made it looking spotless. I could tell they put a wax finish on the car & even cleaned the tires. They even put a little thank you note in my cup holder when I picked up my car, which had a pen & stationary pad, this was a nice little touch. Highly recommend this place!! read more

I've had great experience with the work being done on my car but the office staff when leaving messages are not great about calling back. I've left about 3 messages prior to dropping off the car and now that my cars there they forget to give my person the message or just poor communication in the office. Twice I've left messages with the ladies in the office and don't get a return call. read more

Excellent service, fixed up my 2023 Maverick after getting rear-ended. Looks like new, wait time was acceptable, and customer service (Angie) was great. They informed me of a pending recall that I had taken care of at the dealer. Next time I need any body work I am returning here. All of their staff was helpful and they have a really cool lobby area. Two other times at another repair shop I got my vehicles back with check engine lights on, that they did not have prior. There were very long wait times and no resolution to the check engine lights by the shop (they just cleared it with the ODB scanner). read more

I honestly would not give CV Auto Body not even one star. They are scammers. We took in our car as part of an insurance claim for door damage They estimated roughly $3800 give or take for the repairs. Once the insurance approved the estimate and we delivered the vehicle we were told by CV Auto Body Shop the price had gone up about $ 1000 dollars more. Ok as long as the insurance was going to pay it we left the car. The same week I get an email from my insurance saying the vehicle was now a total loss based on CV Auto Body Shop now increase the price to over $11,000. The car had a sentimental value as my husband had just purchased it for our 18 year old as a graduation gift. My husband passed away last month. This was overall such an unethical move by CV Auto Body Shop. You should be ashamed of yourself and you took it upon to scam a family that was already struggling emotionally. How is it you can get your estimates so inaccurate for door damage and even if the door frame was bent those are all damages that are visible . The insurance paid off the lender and my son was left without a car. Not so much the car but the fact it had a tie to his father. It's so disgusting and I wish insurances would smell these type of scammers and unethical practices. My older son that worked at an auto body shop that did insurance claims said this was a total unethical move on CV Auto Body Shop. I would never do business with them. CV Auto Body Shop you are definitely not experts in the business if you estimates are so unreliable. read more

My insurance gave me a list of auto shops approved for repairs. I called around and read reviews. I decided on CV Auto Body. From the start Jose and Pedro were very professional. Jose worked with my insurance adjuster to coordinate the approval and payment by the following day. From start to finish my car was ready within 4 days, it' was a fender repair. I was so pleasantly surprised. I was told by another shop it would take 2 weeks! Not only did they repair my car, they washed it which I was grateful for. They went the extra mile by giving me a ride home and picking me up when the work was completed. I do live within 5 miles of the shop and I was extremely grateful for the gesture. I have a lot of issues with your company and how poorly you kept in communication with me regarding my cars progress. First of all, we were told that the supplemental estimate would be provided shortly. It wasn't until 22 days after dropping off and two phone calls from my insurance adjuster saying they will not extend my rental without the supplemental estimate from your company.  I had to call to remind your staff to complete this and almost had the rental car taken away. Another issue was with the delay. I understand that there is a supply chain issue with parts but at least keep us informed. We went almost 3 weeks after this above incident without any information, and we had to show up in person to get actual updates about the car. Lastly, after picking the car up we noticed an obvious flaw. I found a chip in the rear right taillight. I called in the same day and informed the rep and he said he saw the chip in his photos too. He assured me the part will  be in shortly.  I ask what's the ETA, two weeks?" And he assured me it'll be done way sooner than that. Two weeks later, nothing. We had to go in person again to get more information. The rep informs is it'll come in "tomorrow ". I am not an auto body expert, but easily saw that this taillight was messed up. If this was clearly missed, I do not know what other body work or frame work was also neglected. I don't think I've ever experienced poor customer service with a body shop like this. I chose your company because of the mom & pop environment and hoping that you'd provide great updates and care. Instead, i have to take hours out of my day to continually follow up. read more

While I was there, I inquired about a quote for a few other repairs to be done. I decided to complete the extra repairs & both jobs were done fairly quickly. No one really wants to get rear ended.......well the way I did at least. I took my car here as suggested by wawanesa. The young man on the phone was nice and made me an appointment to come in on the Monday after New Years weekend. I arrived in disarray lucky I had a shirt on the way I forgot EVERYTHING! I had to make a trip back home before I even arrived to pick up my purse. When I got there Khristina asked me for my claim number I replied, "umm I forgot it" Khristina, "ok can I get the name of the adjuster" me, "umm I forgot it" Khristina, "ok that's fine did you bring the estimate they gave you" me, "nope forgot that too, see I had a rough start to this year and I really need my rental I'm going to be late to work." I thought Khristina was going to poke me in the eye or give me an irritated sigh but no she smiled and said "Don't worry I'll find it for you. We work with wawanesa a lot." I hate when people do what I did but I had a rough weekend and it showed on Monday! After taking my car they assured me Jose was going to fix it and he would call me when it was ready in about a week. Marco a very nice gentleman that was probably a manager or more made sure my belongings were in my rental and reminded me to take my keys I needed. THANK YOU! I would have been locked out. Jose called me on Thursday around 10:00am to tell me my car was done. I was shocked and happy my baby was done, the rental was newer and nice but I'm used to the soccer mobile. My insurance company recommended this shop. My car had a damaged air conditioning hose that ended up leaking the drainage fluids into the carpeting resulting in soggy carpets and mold build up. This is the first time experiencing damage to this extent. They had to special order original parts in order to complete the repair, sanitize and deodorize the interior, and install new carpeting.
