(Bibimbap) and some true Italian (Gnocchi and homemade Pasta) with the rest being slight variants of both. We had the Burrata salad with greens and roasted and fresh tomatoes (nicely skinned) with Pesto, Pune Nuts and a balsamic dressing. It was beautiful but needed more salt and acid to tame down the Burrata. Still a nice salad. We split the Patate Fritte which was fried potatoes and gnocchi with a really flavorful Chipotle Mayo. The whole dish didn't work. The gnocchi were over fried and too small to eat with the much larger potatoes which were also underdone. The Tuna Poke Bowl was very nice (and a good deal) with all of the usual components. The Salmon was cooked perfectly (crispy on the outside slightly translucent inside ) and came with a wasabi cream, lots of roasted veggies (potatoes, cauliflower, broccoli, green beans) and somewhat random things like cornichons, caper berries, and beets. The whole thing worked but would have been better with some editing. I personally wanted more wasabi in the cream and wished that it didn't get watered down by all the veggies. They have a nice cocktail list and a decent list of wines by the glass, several local all fairly priced. The place is modern looking with windows overlooking downtown streets in two sides. The place is very modern with lots of metal and concrete and consequently lots of energy and lots of noise. I see this as a great space for a bunch of friends, less so for a romantic dinner. Overall I liked this place. It could be better and I would return. I love what they are aiming for.

What a surprise find in Penticton!! A Japanese-run ramen shop!!…read more The menu was contemporary and creative. It even offered a creamy vegan ramen which was AMAZING! It's one of the best ramen broths I've ever had! I'll admit it was a little strange to see cilantro in top of ramen, but it worked. There was also shredded cabbage, negi/leeks, carrots and smoky tofu. The soup was super decadent and creamy with a deep shiitake flavor. I don't know how they got this broth so good but I was sure not to let it go to waste. I finished as much of it as I could. The bf ordered the KOJO Chicken Ramen. The chicken was tender and lightly grilled on the outside for extra umami. There was a nice balance of veggies and the egg was a bit overdone for a ramen egg but was fine for his preferences. We also shared the veggie roll. It was pretty simple and tasted as you would expect. Call it blasphemy but I loved the ramen broth so much I dipped the sushi in the broth instead of shoyu. I stand by my decision. If you live in Penticton, I hope you become a regular here. If you're visiting, you definitely need to reserve a meal here. The food is top notch!

So of course we had to check it out! The location is stellar, right overlooking the beachfront. Can't beat that. The hostess and our server were lovely and attentive. We got a table on the lower patio, overlooking the waterfront. Fabulous! We were impressed by the diversity of dishes on the menu. I think you'd be hard-pressed not to find something to your liking here, whatever your culinary preferences or restrictions. My kid ordered a maple-glazed salmon dish with mashed potatoes and asparagus (which she devoured and loved!). I ordered the calamari and tempura vegetables which came with the most unique aoili sauce made with passionfruit. It sounds really odd, and it sounds like it shouldn't work - but boy, does it ever! What a fabulous taste to this sauce! And the calamari was wonderful and perfectly seasoned and fried. And I've never had tempura strips of red pepper but they were fantastic! Truly wonderful calamari dish. We were too full for dessert. Alas! This restaurant lived up to its hype for us! Great place!

The waitress was very knowledgeable. I ordered the fiesta bowl with eggs sunny side up. I was given the salmon bowl with eggs poached. Not what I ordered at all. Sent it back and waitress came by and apologized for punching in the wrong bowl. Needless to say I had to wait for the correct meal to come. By then everyone was half to 3/4s finished. At least it came hot. I think a price adjustment should have been in order or no charge for a major screw up. It was still very good. The fish tacos were loaded with lettuce but still very good

First (and last) visit this year for us…read more Positives - the location and the view are excellent. The wine from next-door Fitzpatrick wines was fantastic. However, the food and service didn't justify the visit. Note, I'm a vegetarian and look at food from the creativity and care put into the offerings. The menu is confusing - Italian Pizza, South Asian Butter Chicken and pakoras, and a Hawaiian Poke Bowl. What type of food does the chef specialize in? The share plate of Tater Tots was actually good. The salad is pre-packaged, and for $22 they won't make you a fresh salad minus the onions. I spent the first 10 minutes of my meal picking out the bits I don't eat. The chef's idea of vegetarian food is to replace protein with tofu. Nothing in the slightest is built around a vegetarian flavour profile. My wife described the tofu poke bowl as "healthy." The food was fine, and some were even good. It just had dull flavours and appeared prepackaged. Hard to justify the expense. Service was up and down. We started strong but fell down after we got our food. The server even tried to pull my plate from under me "Are you done yet" with a hand pulling on my plate while I was still working on the share plates. Awkward and a little yucky. I couldn't get a refill of water and had to flag down another server to help. Ooof. Value for money, I would look elsewhere. Though, you can't beat the view.
