A lot of nice restaurants in this mall, super cozy and well designed! Great location next to Nordstrom, there's a connecting bridge between the buildings too!

Pacific Place is a mall center in the Downtown area with a sky lighted atrium and is a bit touristy although similar places could probably be found in any city downtown. It has dining, a theater and just generally looks like a place to hangout for teens given the shops and seating on the bottom floor. Came here to catch a movie at the AMC and it was a trip going all the way up to the third floor up all the escalators. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from for dining, which is good if you don't want to get any concessions before or after a movie here. The mall is described as "a modern mall with the grandeur of a basilica." It looks well kept up and clean. The Escalators were all functional unlike one of the QFC's I frequent. Parking is available and will run you about $12 which will get you about 3 hours which should be enough for a movie or other patronage here.

I went here on a Sunday earlier this month around 2:20pm when I was visiting Seattle and it was very empty (there wasn't a lot of people or stores here). It felt odd being in a mall that empty compared to all the other malls I've been to. This mall has 4 floors. There's lots of places to sit here and a couple shops on each floor, BUT there's not much to do here. Most of the stores here when I went were closed or being remodeled into something else. Something I did enjoy is how they have charging outlets to charge your phone and other electronics at the tables here. I would ONLY recommend this place if you're desperate to charge your electronics or if you want a nice place to sit and relax indoors. IF you're looking for a nice SHOPPING mall, I would NOT recommend going here. There were only a couple stores on each floor and that's not enough places to choose from.

A very clean and modernized building! Has many places to eat and shop~ Love the interior decor, lighting was bright, and absolutely adore the sky light ceiling. Good central location and walkable distance from a few hotels! Great spot for visitors to hang out, shop, and eat! Only thing is that it is a relatively small shopping center - you have things to shop and eat for but not too much of a variety of choices~ Overall would recommend to check out 6.5/10!

This is an update on the construction from a Dec 22, 2019 visit. Added two photos of the construction in progress. There is progress at the mall, but nowhere near done. Even so, some restaurants and some shops are still in operation. The Seattle local artist shop, "The Handmade Showroom", has stayed open through this period; be sure to look for them. Bonus, the mall has several Xmas deco for photo op. On the weekend, there was a Santa available to take photos. Free! That was a pleasant surprise. The gist of the mall layout looks similar to before except the lighting and flooring has brightened up. The main floor is now cut open (where the coffee shop and mini bakery used to be) such that you can now see the Barnes and Noble level in the basement. The main entrance is currently closed, and everyone enters through "Wish", a toy store that is occupying the Barney's New York that has closed.

One of my favorite malls in downtown Seattle! They have plenty of interesting shops and eateries to peruse, mostly upscale, but there really is something for every one. The mall is under renovation right now but is still fully operating. I attended a pop up Spring beauty and fashion event here today and had a really good time sampling treats from Johnny Rocket, Trophy Cupcake, and Thai Bisro, as well as learning to make my own flower crown. So much fun!

It's a mall. A high end, exclusive space specific to the needs of those who wish to indulge in overpriced goods and services. It's clean and "nice", but is certainly catering to a specific crowd. The movie theater can be found on the topmost floor and offers a selection of new release films for the masses. Restaurants are also available with "patio" seating around the perimeter of the floor, immediately outside each dining establishment. "Snow" falls in the wintertime once or twice daily, making for a five-minute festive, seasonal display including music.

A self contained shopping mall with various retailers, restaurants, movie complex, and parking. This was one of the early construction projects my brother worked on in the 1990s in downtown Seattle. It serves its purpose for awhile now, offering a little something for everyone that passes through, especially with its proximity to the Washington State Convention Center and downtown hotels. Pacific Place is an updated anchor in comparison to Westlake Center. I was surprised to catch a summer bubble show at 6pm with tunes from Justin Timberlake and Donna Summer during this 7/8/17 brief visit. Wrapped up this brief visit by riding the escalator up and down, gawked at the crowds outside Din Tai Fung, and checked out Barnes and Noble bookstore before catching a concert at The Paramount.

On top of that, the layout isn't at all confusing but because everything looks so similar it's surprisingly easy to get turned around and lose your sense of direction. Many of the stores were uncomfortably warm, which made it hard to spend much time inside without wanting to leave. The crowds only make things worse, people seem completely unaware of their surroundings and stand directly behind you, constantly cutting you off or walking straight into you without a second thought. For a place that's supposed to be a premium shopping destination, the overall experience felt chaotic, uncomfortable, and yet boring. In every store, employees kept asking if we needed help, even after we repeatedly said no. Prices were consistently high for no apparent reason, and it was all frustrating enough that we ended up not buying anything at all. One nice thing I can say is that it is very tidy.

It really felt family friendly and the candy shop upstairs next to the monorail was packed. I remember wanting to hang out on all levels of this mall and there was Crabtree and Evelyn, B Dalton books, and so many options. I even got my ears pierced here 3 x at Claire's. The wing that connect to Subway and Taco Del Mar was also a hang out spot and it was fun to have a Seattle home base to chill. Westlake was next to Macy's, and Gap was cool back then. I didn't shop there but remember the scent of Heaven and the super perfumy scents of the 90's and Tommy Hillfiger and Nautica jackets that I wore. Jay Jacob's was the spot for Tolo and Winter formal wear and Frederick's and Nelson's felt so bougie but special. I could even get all of my specialty 90's Timberland boots. Over the decades, Westlake reminded me of a mall that was taken over by a post apocalyptic crisis. Shops were empty, the decent ones that made malls cool left such as Foot Locker, and random swap meet looking stores and other junky stores popped up. There isn't the same feel and it feels like a random hodgepodge of leftovers. I remember when Lush was in the mall and the whiff of the essential oils made things feel festive during the holidays. With so many stores and shops having to leave, Westlake is still a shell of its former felt. Who knows what it will look like in the next 10 years. If you're from out of town, I would suggest skipping Westlake. Go to Chop House Row, Melrose Market for indie and local and SouthCenter or Bellevue Square for the all American mall experience.

Parking has been consistently stubborn. The parking garage I used on my visit today, North Garage on Tuesday 24 March 2026, had themed levels. By this level, more spaces were opened up, so a better day for parking of recent times. Walkways in the village are open to the natural elements. Some of the businesses have umbrellas available for use in shopping. The grounds and pedestrian spaces have tended to be clean in my experiences. In 2010 and 2011 when I was a student at the University of Washington, I walked to University Village so parking was a non-issue, those were quicker turn around in time visits though I did not have the carrying/storage space of a vehicle.

There are also courtesy umbrellas to use for inclement weather - a thoughtful gesture. I'm not sure how they manage cold-ish weather though. Probably not as fun to shop when it's freezing out, although this is a pretty rare situation. I also spotted a security guard, but I felt pretty safe throughout my visit.

I'll be honest in terms of selection, prices (and flavors/techniques for Mei Wa), these are kinda average though are enough to satisfy if you have a craving. Mama Dough and Seoul Tofu are solid restaurants from eating at each 2-3 times. Mia Sugarcane produces some delicious sugarcane drinks though nowadays on the pricier side. Boba Tea Lab is pretty standard bubble tea. I've yet to try Big Bowl Spicy Cuisine and several others, including LiuYiShou Hotpot which is one of the newer restaurants, that also has 22 other locations in North America including NYC, SF, Chicago, Boston, and Vancouver and Toronto areas in Canada. All in all very convenient and generally clean and easy to get around. Best summed up from an excerpt from the Dunn & Hobbes website, "Chophouse Row puts the "mixed" in "mixed-use", featuring state-of-the-art creative office space, an extensive retail marketplace and residential penthouses in the heart of the Pike-Pine neighborhood of Capitol Hill. The project combines the historic Chophouse building, built as an auto parts store in 1924 and used for decades as iconic band practice space, with a new office tower that features open plan workspaces with floor to ceiling windows and exposed steel structure. Salvaged materials were used throughout and the building features highly sustainable energy and water systems.
