Maple "home spun" cake donut thing in muffin form.
Erika C.

Cute coffee shop with a loft and friendly staff. Cold brew did the job. Got a maple "home spun" by Sugar Cinns bakery which was described as a donut and muffin hybrid. Really good and reminded me of the maple donut cupcake from Cako in SF back in the day. Texturally like a cake donut but in muffin form.

If Pinterest had a beach baby with a caffeine addiction, it would be Pacifica Java. This tiny seaside café in Pacifica, CA is so charming it might actually be judging you for not wearing Birkenstocks. I went with the Salted Caramel Latte iced, which was basically dessert disguised as a beverage--and I'm not mad about it. Sweet, salty, cold, and sassy. Like me, if I were a drink. My wife, ever the connoisseur of drinks with animal names, got the English Zebra Mocha. She was very pleased, which means it was either delicious or just didn't make her raise an eyebrow. Either way: win. If you're not into delicious drinks, cute vibes, or tiny shops that make you feel like you stumbled into someone's well-curated dream journal, then maybe keep driving. But if you like caffeine with coastline and a hint of quirk, Pacifica Java's your jam. Want me to crank it up with some poetic sass or turn it into a Yelp-worthy roast? I'm all ears.

I took a little solo trip to Rockaway Beach to reset. Life's been a bit overwhelming lately; one of those times where everything hits at once. I went for a walk and found this cute café called Pacifica Java. There's an upstairs nook I wish I'd found earlier to journal there, but I left my book on the car. Journaling by the ocean was nice though :). I ordered a medium Misty Morning Mocha, and the barista made a tiny panda in the foam. The drink was mildly sweet with a hint of peppermint. I was expecting it to be sweet like all other Mocha's i tend to get, but it was a nice surprise. The Panda Art made my day a bit brighter. I wasn't expecting it, but it's a little reminder that small moments can make a big difference.

Such a cute cafe in Pacifica! Stopped by here prior to hiking at Mori Point. I ordered the matcha latte and it was pretty good. Also ordered the pre-packaged sausage and egg breakfast sandwich. I had the cashier heat the sandwich and the sandwich ended up being hot on the outside but still cold on the inside :/ I just ate it as is lol since I didn't want to bother the one cashier about it since she was the only one working! My friend ordered the honey lavender latte and she really enjoyed it! Either way, the cafe was relatively small but had a decent amount of seating both upstairs and downstairs. There's even some board games and a game console to hangout and play. Would recommend stopping by if you're looking for a chill cafe :)

I enjoy going to Pacific Java Cafe every so often when I'm on the coast! Their lattes are fun and usually very good, sometimes they taste a little off unfortunately. I love that they have some pastries from Mazzettis! Their breakfast sandwich offerings are decent too, most are meat and there is (I think) one plant based, so that's nice. Everyone there is friendly and the space itself is super welcoming! They have a cute corner for kids too which is helpful when trying to keep them entertained!

It's a local cozy clean cut coffee shop with lots of varieties of drinks pastries and snacks. Has decent amount of tables in two floors. Friendly staff with quick service. Great place for study with reading and relaxing. Close to shore for walk and hike trails.

My favorite cafe in Pacifica! I come here often to get some work done and I also love bringing my friends and family here. The coffee is great and the vibe is always welcoming. There is an upstairs and downstairs and also seating outside. This is a perfect place to relax, chat it up, get some work done & even play some notes on the piano they have!

Coffee smell is AMAZING!! After exploring the beach and a few local shops, we stumbled upon Pacific Java! A cute little local coffee shop with a cozy and chill out vibe! We walked in and there was a man playing the piano (looked like a local) and was just hanging out. The music, the vibe and service all spot on. At 3:00pm on a Saturday afternoon, it was pretty relaxed and a nice flow of things. I ordered a cappuccino $4 My husband ordered an Americano $4 Lots of seating! Upstairs and downstairs!! Will be back for sure!!

Very good coffee and chai tea! We had both the Mexican Mocha with an added shot of espresso (recommended) and the coconut milk Chai tea latte, which is also a local favorite. Both are highly recommended!

This is such a hidden gem of a coffee shop ! It's behind these shops in one of the main shopping areas in Pacifica. They have two levels of seating and I went with my sister, so we decided to each sit on a different floor. I wanted something warm to eat and drink while I read, and I sat next to a window with some nice sunlight filtered by clouds. The drink I ordered was tasty and was the turmeric chai latte. The service was not memorable to me, hence my 4 stars. But I would love to came again as this coffee shop is quite the mood !

My rating would be 10 stars if it was possible. It's my favorite coffee shop. The best coffee I've ever had, great service, and amazing atmosphere. My partner and I work there every Saturday or Sunday. This place is worth the drive from San Francisco. It's a very chill and friendly atmosphere. Live piano, omg, we love this place. Thank you guys, you are the best!

Super cute and aesthetically pleasing coffee shop right by the beach :) service was nothing to rave about as it was very minimal but we appreciated getting our drinks pretty quickly. Matcha vanilla oat milk latte - Yes, get this! Perfect balance between matcha and vanilla flavors and the best part was.. it was not too sweet! Toasted latte - I could definitely taste the hazelnut in this drink. Unlike matcha vanilla, this was more of a bitter and stronger drink but we still enjoyed it regardless.

Regular hot Latte and an iced latte with sugar free English toffee syrup with raspberry filled cake muffin

Great little cafe with one of the largest selection of brews I've seen. It's number one on my list, also because of the tranquil location.

Their baguettes were great and their Irish Soda Bread was surprisingly delicious! I saw this place pop up on Check Please Bay Area and decided to give this place a shot while I was around in the Pacifica Area. I was genuinely surprised it was located in an old outlet/plaza and felt slightly out of place vs all the other older shops but after stopping by here, I can definitely say it was like a gem in the rough that was well worth the visit. The wait time here was a bit long at around 10 in the morning but oddly the line died down quite quickly at around 11 onwards, so it seems like the wait time can fluctuate throughout the day. Decided to order a few sweet pastries, pizza, and baguettes and after trying a bit of each one, they were all great in quality and freshly made. It was also my first time trying an Irish Soda bread and I have to say it was like a very dense pound cake with dried fruit inside and thoroughly enjoyed it! All the staff here were very friendly and felt very welcoming to enjoy a brief stay here for my baked goods and coffee (coffee was also great quality too). If I'm ever back in Pacifica for whatever reason, I can definitely see myself making a bit of a drive to stop by here for more. Check Please Bay Area wasn't wrong and I'll also give my recommendation as well for others to give this place a shot too.

One, the customer in front of us took a long time deciding what to order and we missed the weekend brunch menu by 8 minutes. Two, the cashier gave us the wrong number card so the staff couldn't find us to deliver our food. And three, though this was a cafe style place, customer service was subpar. We decided to give it another try because there must be a reason why this place was always busy. Came a bit early this time. The line was long but was moving fairly fast. There is QR code for the menu so I'd say check it out while you wait in line for at least 20 minutes! It will help to expedite your ordering process once you get to the cashier. There's a good amount of seatings both indoors and outdoors. A good spot to leisurely enjoy your meal if you're not pressed for time. I have had the Vietnamese iced coffee which was very good. This time around had the Cubano (their specialty latte) which was smooth, balanced, and so good! I was able to order the Irish breakfast this time that was only offered on their weekend brunch menu and only until 2pm. We waited a while for our food. And when we finally did, it was not even warm. This was a bit disappointing! The saving grace were the roasted potatoes and sautéed mushrooms that came with my breakfast dish. They were very good. The side salad that accompanied the Lorraine quiche was also very good. I would come back to this cafe definitely for the Cubano, the Ube cream puff, and maybe try some other pastries. The spicy one was to die for. It's not too spicy, it's like those spicy Italian sausage. Very flaky, not too heavy, but they don't skimp out on the meat, so you will be full. I absolutely loved the fennel seeds in the sausage! I just don't know how to be full, so i tried their pie too. While the minced beef pie was good, it wasn't as great as the sausage roll.
