We were never asked if it was special occasion by host or waiter. It wasn't the exact day but I heard waiter ask every one else. Also kitchen forgot to add the seafood to my gazpacho. When we walked in we actually inquired about a dress code because we felt under dressed. And neither of us are really ever under dressed. There wasn't one so we took a seat the bar. This place is huge and beautiful. There is a gorgeous patio area and bar stools outside lining the indoor bar with garage doors that were open. I love an open air bar in the summer. It makes it feel so.... Summery. Our bartender was wonderful! Super helpful and accommodating. We spilt the lobster rolls because there were two of them and I never eat all of my food anyway. They split them up and gave us two plates with separate fries etc. The presentation was great. The food was delicious! I was working while we were there and needed to get on a few meetings so we ended up hanging out for about two hours. They were so good to us. Most definitely will be back!

The quality of the food was superb, and the service was exemplary. Although I have consistently had positive experiences at Leo's, the team exceeded all expectations during our dinner on July 11th. Conversation with the staff comes so easily. And the food and drink are always delicious. Over the course of the night, we enjoyed the Seafood Cake Duet as our appetizer. Between the two cakes, the shrimp and lobster was definitely our favorite. The cocktails included the 60 Ottawa Old Fashioned, the Femme Fatale and the Cast Away. The old-fashioned was perfectly balanced. My wife loved the other two cocktails, especially the Cast Away. That one in particular was dangerously smooth. It wasn't my first time having the Halibut "oscar style", but I'm a creature of habit and it's hard to pass up. It always tastes fresh, is a milder fish and paired well on the plate with a nicely seasoned rice blend, asparagus and covered in a delightful bearnaise sauce. The wife had the Kvaroy Salmon which she very much enjoyed, but didn't come close to finishing. The brussel sprouts were cooked just right and the balsamic reduction wasn't overpowering, but instead just that right amount of savory. Leo's seems to change up their desserts fairly often, but frequently offer a crème brûlée. We opted for the vanilla bean this time and in hindsight, wish we would've each ordered our own instead of sharing.

The theming is truly off the charts with so many cool things everywhere you look. I've been in both the lower and upper floors of the restaurant and the fun follows all throughout. The food was good and had good portion sizes. The menu has a lot of Hawaiian and Asian flavors represented. The drink menu is massive with a great section of NA mocktails that were really fairly priced. We got drinks and entrees and the entire process took around 45 minutes with me struggling to decide what to order. The service is really attentive without being overbearing. The use of both servers and food runners allowed for the process to be quick while not feeling rushed at all. Our server also gave great recommendations and was helpful throughout the night. While the price of things may feel high, I do think the ambiance was pretty worth the cost and the food was enjoyable! I'd definitely come back.

Dont get it if you love ramen or are expecting Hawaiian simen. It's more like noodles in a peanut sauce. Not broth. It's really thick. The kimchi.... Probably the worst I've ever had. Tons of carrots and the cabbage had a weird texture... is it cabbage? Not sure... Almost for the drunken noodles. Glad I'd didn't. Friend got it and tried it. Noodles in peanuts. Not spicy. Had to add the gluten free soy sauce. Friends for the sushi musubi and bulgogi. They liked it. Drinks were ok. Good for the price. Service was awesome, decor/ambiance was awesome.... Food left a lot to be desired, sadly.

If you want to make your trip to Michigan and your visit to Grand Rapids even more enjoyable,…read moredefinitely stop by Littlebird. Such a charming, atmospheric little place with beautiful presentation and wonderfully prepared food. The menu is small -- exactly as it should be at a place like this. The four of us ordered four different dishes and shared tastes of everything, and every single dish was excellent. And a little tip: order the tea! They source their teas from a specialty supplier, and you can tell they put thought into even the smallest details. The service was absolutely outstanding. I adore crab so ordering that was a no brainer. Their coffee is strong. It took a ton of cream to change the color... though it was delicious with free refills for $5. The omelette was heaven. All the flavors melded well and I appreciated the crisp acidic salad to cut the richness of the omelette. My only critique is wishing the crab salad topping was a bit more decadent. For $21 I was hoping for big lumps of crab rather than cool shredded mayo based salad. All in all, I love this place, I love the concept. It was quite busy and was thankful to snag a seat at the bar. The service was friendly and quick. Best hipster establishment I've patronized in a long time. Make a reservation if you have a group or pray there is a seat at the bar. Keep doing your thang Littlebird!!
