Pound for pound THE best barbecue in Grand Rapids. I've been coming to Two Scotts on and off for…read morethe better part of the past 11 years and this place's quality and consistency has held better than the S&P 500. The flavor is out of this world. Smoky, deep, savory, and the accompanying chorus of sauces keeps the meal bright and varied. I got the burnt ends and the pulled chicken and it was so. Damn. Good. If you even remotely like barbecue, this needs to be at the top of your list. My only mild complaint is that back in the day they had a platter where you could sample 3 meats for like $17 or $20, which was the holy grail of barbecue experience. Nowadays you need to buy 1/2 pound minimum of each meat which can make it tough to sample their all-star lineup of succulent meats. If this were to make a return, I'd be at Two Scott's weekly. Still, pretty good value for the insane quality of food and service that you're getting here. Would HIGHLY recommend.

Banging bbq in Grand Rapids! A super find thanks to the reviews on Yelp…read more After a week on the shoreline of Lake Michigan, I was hankering for something good. I needed to stop with my family before we headed to the airport. I spotted this one on the map when searching for highly rated restaurants, and thanks to their handy-dandy online ordering system. I knew that we could plot a course get there eat our food and be on our way. No time to make our flights later this afternoon. I don't think any of us knew how delicious this meal was gonna be, but we were all glad that this was the stuff we chose to make. The smoked chicken wings were immaculate and the brisket was perfection. We also of course had rib tips and a whole slew of sides, including the smoked mushrooms and coleslaw and Housemade, tater tots, mac & cheese, baked beans and probably a few others I'm forgetting. We couldn't pick a favorite literally everything. Was that good And the sauces? Yeah, those are banging and beyond creative too. That green sauce was straight fire, and that Alabama weight style also nice for cooling things off. But if all of them were fantastic, and it was fun to make a match and find your favorite combo as we demolished the entirety of the order. Which is funny because when we placed it, we were kind of thinking this sounds like a lot of food and we didn't want any leftovers, but there were no leftovers to account for not because we ordered and forced ourselves because it was that good and we needed every bite available. Make the trip!

The space is large and decorated nicely compared to the other spots I've been. Our group of four had a bit of a wait (10 minutes) when we arrived around 6:30 on a weekday. They seemed a little understaffed and were only utilizing a small part of the whole restaurant for seating. Our friends are regulars so they guided us on ordering and mixing up our sauces, which was really helpful. Our server was super kind and went through the menu options with us. It's all you can eat and they'll just keep bringing out more items throughout your time. Our server was really good about checking in with us. For hot pot you choose your own broth flavor for your personal hot pot - I went with the Szechuan which was spicy and numbing. I really liked it! Nate got the mushroom, which he said was just okay. I'd recommend starting with a bunch of items all at once. The meats are very thin cuts and cook quickly in the broth. We also got an assortment of veggies, dumplings, and my favorite, the udon noodles. The menu gives cooking times for each item which is helpful. Your price includes all you can eat hot pot or Korean BBQ - you can do both for an extra $6 or so. I honestly think I prefer hot pot to Korean BBQ, it's a little easier and more forgiving of a cooking method. I thought the options were nicely varied, and you get access to the sides/dessert buffet, with salads, kimchi, chicken feet, fries, egg rolls, etc. and the sauce bar that has tons of options! They also have a full bar and serve sake, soju, boba, etc. I really loved this spot and thought the service was by far the best of the hot pot places I've visited in the area.

It's gorgeously decorated, our waitress, Anisia, was so lovely, attentive, and helpful -and the food was delish. It's different from other restaurants in that it didn't have a 2-hour time limit and if my husband wanted hot pot, I didn't have to pay for it as well. The only downside is there wasn't as big of a selection on the cold/hot bar. But everything else was great and it is my new preferred location!

The service was exceptional from start to finish. Everyone was kind and welcoming. We ordered a cheeseburger with fries and a wagyu sirloin that had a red wine reduction, crispy onions, potato gratin and garlic green beans. We also ordered two kids trays which were priced very fair at $9 for the options and amount of food received. Our kids had the fried chicken tenders, grilled steak and picked sides of fries, mashed potatoes and fruit. The kids trays also came with drinks. Since this was a birthday celebration or server did make it special by brining a sweet treat and candle and even discounted my meal! Some things to think about when planning a visit: The restaurant is very loud. Make a reservation! It is popular. Plan parking! The area is full of great restaurants so parking is tough. I thought an old fashioned was an old fashioned, but this one was delicious and available for happy hour, can't beat that! Then at the bartenders recommendation, I had the meatballs for appetizer and the hangar steak for entree. First, the meatballs, very good, I'd give it a 4/5 minimum. Portion was very respectable, meant for a shareable appetizer but it was just me lol. The ricotta is a delicious touch. Then the hangar steak. It's the best steak I can remember having in a long time, and on a relatively inexpensive cut such as a hangar. I just can't express enough how impressed I was with it. And I'm not a sauce with steak type but the aioli just completes it so well. 5/5, and I'm pretty picky. If I come back to Grand Rapids I will visit here at least once.

It looks kinda small coming out of the truck but it was super filling! It was literally so tasty, the brisket was cooked perfectly, the Mac and cheese layer was delicious and I really am not a fan of creamy coleslaw or baked beans but these both pulled the whole bowl together. I would DEFINITELY order this again!! It was really fast to come out of the truck after I ordered and I thought the prices were extremely cheap and shocking for a food truck considering this was some of the best food truck food I've had in a while.
