Wow, finally, a great place to get BBQ in the Grandville area! My wife and I had a taste for BBQ,…read moreand historically the area has had average at best chain bbq joints. What a pleasant surprise to find Sweet Racks and Smokin' Butts BBQ! We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon, probably around 2pm or so, the inside was bigger than I was expecting, plenty of seating, not cramped...and great background music :-). We were both in the mood for brisket - my wife opted for the loaded mashed potatoes with brisket and I got the 2 meat meal and went with chopped brisket for both meats (a total of 1/2 lb), I decided on the mac and cheese and the smoked beans. We decided to dine in, our food came out pretty quick - maybe 10 minutes tops. Holy cow - WOW - it was amazing - the brisket was fantastic, the mac & cheese was delicious...I wasn't expecting much from the beans, they're usually an afterthought. Not these - they were the most unique smoked beans I've had - a surprise sweetness (just enough to throw me off) - and a bit of heat, just the right amount for me - Not too hot where it detracts from the flavor, but enough to say "I'm not your average baked beans with some smoky flavor." The "only" thing I wish is they had was adult beverages - a cold beer would have been icing on the cake....although, there is a brewery literally a stone's throw away. I should've asked if the brewery allows you to bring over food - or now that it's getting nice out, some outdoor seating between the two would have been great...hint hint :-) One piece of advice, when we got there, the ribs had already sold out - must be really popular, as someone had come in where we were there wanting to get ribs and decided to wait and come back just for the ribs. So, you probably need to get there earlier if you're expecting ribs. Knowing that, we'll have to go earlier next time and give them a shot. At any rate, the food and service was awesome, we'll definitely be back! Keep up the great work!

Only the person that wants it will be billed for it. Cons: hot pot is pricey, but prices are the same as other restaurants. Not as big of a selection of appetizers/hot food bar compared to other restaurants. If I did Hot Pot, I would likely choose this place. It's gorgeously decorated, our waitress, Anisia, was so lovely, attentive, and helpful -and the food was delish. It's different from other restaurants in that it didn't have a 2-hour time limit and if my husband wanted hot pot, I didn't have to pay for it as well. The only downside is there wasn't as big of a selection on the cold/hot bar. But everything else was great and it is my new preferred location!

The space is large and decorated nicely compared to the other spots I've been. Our group of four had a bit of a wait (10 minutes) when we arrived around 6:30 on a weekday. They seemed a little understaffed and were only utilizing a small part of the whole restaurant for seating. Our friends are regulars so they guided us on ordering and mixing up our sauces, which was really helpful. Our server was super kind and went through the menu options with us. It's all you can eat and they'll just keep bringing out more items throughout your time. Our server was really good about checking in with us. For hot pot you choose your own broth flavor for your personal hot pot - I went with the Szechuan which was spicy and numbing. I really liked it! Nate got the mushroom, which he said was just okay. I'd recommend starting with a bunch of items all at once. The meats are very thin cuts and cook quickly in the broth. We also got an assortment of veggies, dumplings, and my favorite, the udon noodles. The menu gives cooking times for each item which is helpful. Your price includes all you can eat hot pot or Korean BBQ - you can do both for an extra $6 or so. I honestly think I prefer hot pot to Korean BBQ, it's a little easier and more forgiving of a cooking method. I thought the options were nicely varied, and you get access to the sides/dessert buffet, with salads, kimchi, chicken feet, fries, egg rolls, etc. and the sauce bar that has tons of options! They also have a full bar and serve sake, soju, boba, etc. I really loved this spot and thought the service was by far the best of the hot pot places I've visited in the area.

Inside you will find an array of high tops and low tops as well as some dinette seating but no booths. Visiting recently on a Saturday was a little tough but that was because half of the restaurant was reserved for a scheduled party. The service was a little choppy but the team did apologize for the lengthy wait and the back and forth. I truly believe it was because they were expecting a large crowd and people who were dining in didn't have a place to sit right away. All in all the food was delicious! Note there are times where they run out of BBQ so if you don't want to make the trip you can call ahead. There stated hours of operation are: Mon - Thur: 4:00pm - 10:00pm Fri - Sat: 11:00am - 10:00pm Sunday: Closed We ordered the following: Chips and queso with a side of pico: this was delicious. The queso was creamy and the pico gave it a great tang! I don't know if the chips are made in house but they were great. $9 1/2 LB Smoked wings in buffalo sauce: The wings were served with ranch and they definitely fell off the bone tender. The buffalo sauce was your typical sauce flavor. The wings come with a slice of bread that they put under them - almost missed it. $8 BBQ Meat Sampler: 1/4 Lb. of Each Meat -- Chicken, Pork, Brisket, Pork Ribs Served with BobbyQ Sauce, a slice of bread and some pickle chips. This sampler was perfect for two. It was a great way to try all their bbq options. My favorite was the brisket. Everything was well seasoned and so tender. The BobbyQ Sauce is their bbq sauce and they serve it warm. The sauce has a nice tang to it and goes well with the food. Because the restaurant was pretty busy I did not ask if they offer other sauces. $28 Jalapeno Cornbread with whipped honey butter: the cornbread was good but we didn't really get that jalapeno kick and will most likely skip on this next time. $4 Kids menu MAC & CHEESE made with queso blanco and served with a choice of Chips, Apple Sauce, Potato Salad, or Fusion Slaw We chose the potato salad but it was very bland and the kids did not like how hard the potatoes were. I think my kids would give the fusion slaw or the house chips a try next time. $8 Overall the food was great and we love supporting local so we will definitely be back.

The staff is friendly and nice ... it's just the food... I've given up on the burgers after they've made them wrong on previous occasions. Lately, I've been trying the falafel wrap. The first time I had it, it was just okay. This time? Almost inedible, sadly. The falafels appear to be homemade, and I think they're baked rather than fried? Or maybe they just got soggy waiting in the window? I don't know. The texture was really bad. Pasty and chewy and makes you feel thirstier than you need to be. The hummus accompanying the falafel enhanced that pasty gluey feel in the mouth and there was no crunch. It's $14 for a sandwich. I was able to gag down half of it and drink 3 waters before I gave up to go back to work. I don't know, there are cheaper options around that are also locally owned that taste better, sadly. I guess this place is fine for drinks? I wouldn't know. Try it and see if it's delicious l guess. I think I'll drive myself over to The Arrows or Delicias instead.

I love the options for seasoning your fries or house made kettle chips. The Tennessee bourbon sauce is sweet with a tiny bit of heat, I would say mild for sure.
