Ordered a Mc chicken with extra mayo. They charge .39 for extra mayo? What is that? Are they hurting that bad?

This is by far one of the worst McDonalds in the organization. We almost never get an order filled without mistakes.

Allendale is a bit of a blind spot for me when it comes to restaurants since I don't really make it…read moreto that part of town very often, but Mug Shots has been on my list for awhile so I was excited to stop in for dinner after a GV women's soccer game. The space is kind of smaller but we were able to sit right away. The theme of the place is kind of quirky - there are celebrity mug shots on the walls with descriptions of their crimes, as well as a "jail" photo op. Most of the menu items have jail/prison themed names too. It's definitely unique! I'd heard great things about the burgers so I knew I had to try one. They have nine different specialty burgers that come with two quarter pound patties, or you can substitute fried or grilled chicken for no charge. I got the Reveille (one egg cooked to order, bacon, and cheddar), and Nate got the Brushy Mountain with marinated chicken (you can also get it with fried chicken). Crinkle fries are standard, or you can get waffle fries or sweet potato fries for an up charge. Our food took a little bit of time to come out, but we enjoyed watching the MSU women's soccer game on the big TVs while we waited. The food was worth the wait, because it was super hot and fresh, and the burger was delicious. The patties were juicy and perfectly seasoned, the bacon was crispy, and the egg was cooked just like I wanted (over hard). It was a little greasy but I enjoy a greasy burger every once in awhile. I had a bite of the Brushy Mountain, which was also very good. The chicken was a little small but the flavors were great and the chicken wasn't overcooked. I'm so happy to have checked this place off my list, and will definitely be back the next time I'm in the area. If you like a juicy burger, you have to visit this place!

Stopped by to check out Frank's and finally figured what we were doing wrong. Every time we tried…read moreto dine in, Frank's was closed. Or so we thought. Among locals, it's well known that there are two sides to Frank's. One side for daytime dining, and another side for nighttime dining. One may think that Frank's is closed, but it's really a matter of time of day to figure out which door to enter. Once you figure out that the two establishments are actually one, you're golden. The food? Can't complain. The service? Wonderful. What you should know. - They prefer cash payment. - Don't sit by the door. It's cold in the winter. - Be ready to order. It takes a while for them to come back. - It's a friendly place. - They only serve alcohol at night.

The atmosphere here is an old fashioned Diner done in the Shotgun style. Red and White are the…read moredominant colors. On the walls they have old photos and newspapers. Scattered around are classic Coke memorabilia. A very welcoming feeling. I ordered the Frank's "F" Bomb Burger ($18 with fries, $15 without). A triple patty equaling 1 pound. Topped with Ham, Bacon, Pepper Jack, Cheddar, and American cheese. The Burger was fantastic. Everything goes together perfectly. The enters my top 10 Burgers for sure and might be in the top 5. I also got a Root Beer Shake ($6), it was excellent. Something different than most places, but definitely tastes like Root Beer. The person I was with ordered the Honolulu Blue Burger. This is a burger topped with bleu cheese, pineapple, ham, teriyaki sauce. It was stated to be excellent. The service was excellent. Very friendly even though it was hectic. Overall an easy 5 star review. Would I return? Absolutely, I will definitely be back.

A funky spot to stop while downtown, this quickly became a place we'd love to add to our regular…read morerotation for a night out. Everyone was friendly, service was quick and efficient without feeling rushed, and the vibes were fantastic! We opted for nachos to start. Honestly, would've ordered a second batch instead of a burger if I had the chance, but we had already put in for burgers. Now, the burgers were also amazing, so you really can't go wrong. The chronic fries are DELICIOUS, with a perfect hint of heat to make them more unique. Prices were pretty good for serving size. We can't wait to make our way back (& hopefully that's soon!)

My initial experience was frustrating. I ordered through Uber Eats and only received about half of…read moremy order. After contacting the restaurant, I was told the missing items would be remade and ready in about 20 minutes. It ultimately took closer to 45 minutes, and I had to drive to the restaurant myself to pick up food that should have arrived correctly the first time. That said, what changed my opinion was how the team handled the situation afterward. The General Manager personally came out, apologized sincerely, gave me her card, and told me to contact her directly so she could make things right. She took ownership of the mistake rather than making excuses, which I genuinely appreciated. Nobody likes dealing with a missing order, and there is definitely room for improvement in their Uber Eats process. However, mistakes happen in every business. What matters is how a company responds when things go wrong, and Stella's showed they care about their customers and reputation. Not a perfect experience, but the recovery effort and customer service earned back a lot of goodwill. We'll give them another chance.

I ate here a few years ago and had a much better experience. Unfortunately, this place seems to…read morehave fallen on hard times. The menu this time was very basic. It was a Sunday evening around 5:00 pm. There were only ten or so customers in the restaurant beside our group and we were told the pork and chicken entrees were "all sold out." Almost every single menu item had an up charge. For example, if you wanted your $16 burger with cheese, it was an extra $1 up charge. Bacon? That's $3. Avacado? Also $3. Or if you wanted to upgrade to fries instead of potato chips as a side, that's a $2 up charge. If you want a protein option for almost any of the main entrees, that was an extra $5-$7 up charge. I had a the burger special of the week; the Patty Melt. The burgers were very dry and overcooked, the rye bread toast was dry, and there was hardly any thousand island dressing. One of the kids in our group got the kids mac and cheese and I swear someone whipped up a box of Kraft in the kitchen and served it with some potato chips. For a $9 kids meal I expect better. And to make matters worse, there was something going on with the sewage system there when we visited. Our table was near the restrooms and you could smell an overwhelming odor of feces coming from the bathroom every time someone opened the door. The rest of the place seemed clean so hopefully that's an outlier issue. The waitstaff was polite and professional however service was quite slow. Our experience left so much to be desired.
