    two burgers and french fries

This was my first time here and I was very impressed! When we pulled in the parking lot, there was a ton of parking on all sides of the building. They had a decent amount of handicap parking as well on the sides of the building. There was also a drive thru in the back that we discovered upon leaving! When we walked in, it was bigger than expected. There were tons of booths and tables. I was impressed by the use of space because there was still plenty of aisle/walking room and none of the tables were too close together. The ordering system was definitely different, but I guess it wasn't anything different than a place like Chic Fil A. There was a line against one wall, and when you got to the front, you ordered, grabbed a tray. You were then either expected to wait for your food there, or they would give you a number and call you up later if your food was going to take longer. The only issue with this, is that we weren't familiar with this process, so it was a bit confusing. The staff was very friendly though, and they answered all questions very nicely. After waiting in the line for probably 7 ish minutes, we ordered, got our food almost right away, paid, and sat at a booth near a window. I must note that the prices were very reasonable. They had a lot of cheaper options and upgrade options. The food was also very customizable which was nice. The food was everything you could want for a traditional burger and fries meal. The fries came unsalted, which I prefer, but they had salt at each table. The burgers were loaded, but they weren't too big to the point that they were hard to eat. The only thing I might like better was if they had a self-serve drink station. There was a self serve water station, but I guess even when dining in the soft drinks were not refillable. The vibe was nothing special at all. The interior, technology, menu board, and basically everything there was pretty outdated. I just think this is a place where you aren't going there for the vibe, so it doesn't matter. It did not take away from the experience at all, and I will definitely be going back! 10/10 recommended! Even if you're not in this area, they have several other locations too!

I must admit I was annoyed with my husband when he said he wanted to go 20 minutes out of our way to go to a place named Mr. Burger. We always eat a burger places and I was ready for something new. Little did I know his suggestion was exactly where I'd find my new favorite sandwich. Not only do they sell burgers, but they sell all day breakfast, sandwiches and an array of desserts. I love club sandwiches so I ordered to one they have on pitas bread (minus tomato) with onion rings while my husband got a bacon burger with fries. I was tempted to get a slice of pecan pie but I wasn't hungry enough. While you do order at the counter they do have table service. It felt like we had just sat down when they delivered the food to our table. Man, best club sandwich I've ever had. I didnt think I'd love the pita but it wasn't one of the hard beige/wheat ones my mom used to buy at the store. No, it was fluffy and mmmmm so good. I am obsessed with onion rings so my tumm-tumm was pleased at how crispy and tasty they were. If you're ever in the area Mr. Burger is definitely a place to put on your list.

Here's the menu. It's wrong online.

What an adventure! The menu is wrong online and when I called to ask they said pretty much the only way is to come in and get a takeout menu. No big. Drove there and got one. Once me and the homeless guy I was getting food for figured out our order I drove back for the goodies! After ordering and paying, mind you they are about to close and I'm the last customer, just a veteran buying a meal for me and my homeless friend, I made a joke about the cookies they would throw away at the end of the night, like in five minutes and said if it's free give me three? Everybody thought it was funny except the manager who told me he would give me one cookie if I never came back. It's amazing to see so much hate come out of an Asian American during times like this. I knew this place was in a conservative area but with a church around every corner you'd think they wouldn't shun the homeless so much. Amazing examples of the type of business that only cares about itself. This attitude from it's employees has to be a direct result of the management team here. Hate breeds hate. We will be back. And we will buy all of the cookies for all of the cookieless!

The menu is concise and they do these classics well. They also have a daily milkshake and weekly food features. I still need to visit for their Sunday brunch! I've now been to the GR location many times and really appreciate how dialed in they've gotten over the years. You can order at the counter to go or get table service. The space is large and bright and good for groups. On my most recent visit, I was trying to decide between a burger and a chicken sandwich, and realized I'd never had the BBQ chicken club, which is listed as a grilled chicken breast with BBQ sauce, bacon, cheese, tomato, lettuce, and mayo. Our server told me that people like it if they are looking for something without fried chicken... but I really wanted fried chicken. So I asked if I could do that with fried chicken instead and she said absolutely! Their menu is super customizable, which is great to know. Our food came out quickly and I was impressed with the presentation of the sandwich. I like that they wrap it in paper which makes it easier to eat. It was a little messy towards the end with the BBQ sauce and mayo, but it was delicious and totally worth it. The veggies were fresh, the chicken was juicy, and the bacon was crispy... I'm thinking this might be my new go-to! Their burgers and other chicken sandwiches are also delicious. They have a full bar and fun cocktails, and happy hour Tuesday-Friday! Parking in the area is always a bit of a challenge, especially with continued construction nearby, but there are metered spots and some paid lots within walking distance.

My friends and I grabbed a booth and so adored the cool wallpaper and decor. I ended up ordering the Brussel sprouts to share and the fried chicken sando. The brussel sprouts were sooooooo yummy! Savory and sweet and finger-licking good. I could've licked the plate, seriously! The sandwich was really tasty too and the perfect size at a great price. All of my friends were pleased with their meals too and we had good service. I hear that they have a really tasty brunch so I'll be sure to come check that out soon!

The space is kind of smaller but we were able to sit right away. The theme of the place is kind of quirky - there are celebrity mug shots on the walls with descriptions of their crimes, as well as a "jail" photo op. Most of the menu items have jail/prison themed names too. It's definitely unique! I'd heard great things about the burgers so I knew I had to try one. They have nine different specialty burgers that come with two quarter pound patties, or you can substitute fried or grilled chicken for no charge. I got the Reveille (one egg cooked to order, bacon, and cheddar), and Nate got the Brushy Mountain with marinated chicken (you can also get it with fried chicken). Crinkle fries are standard, or you can get waffle fries or sweet potato fries for an up charge. Our food took a little bit of time to come out, but we enjoyed watching the MSU women's soccer game on the big TVs while we waited. The food was worth the wait, because it was super hot and fresh, and the burger was delicious. The patties were juicy and perfectly seasoned, the bacon was crispy, and the egg was cooked just like I wanted (over hard). It was a little greasy but I enjoy a greasy burger every once in awhile. I had a bite of the Brushy Mountain, which was also very good. The chicken was a little small but the flavors were great and the chicken wasn't overcooked. I'm so happy to have checked this place off my list, and will definitely be back the next time I'm in the area. If you like a juicy burger, you have to visit this place!

It was a Sunday evening around 5:00 pm. There were only ten or so customers in the restaurant beside our group and we were told the pork and chicken entrees were "all sold out." Almost every single menu item had an up charge. For example, if you wanted your $16 burger with cheese, it was an extra $1 up charge. Bacon? That's $3. Avacado? Also $3. Or if you wanted to upgrade to fries instead of potato chips as a side, that's a $2 up charge. If you want a protein option for almost any of the main entrees, that was an extra $5-$7 up charge. I had a the burger special of the week; the Patty Melt. The burgers were very dry and overcooked, the rye bread toast was dry, and there was hardly any thousand island dressing. One of the kids in our group got the kids mac and cheese and I swear someone whipped up a box of Kraft in the kitchen and served it with some potato chips. For a $9 kids meal I expect better. And to make matters worse, there was something going on with the sewage system there when we visited. Our table was near the restrooms and you could smell an overwhelming odor of feces coming from the bathroom every time someone opened the door. The rest of the place seemed clean so hopefully that's an outlier issue. The waitstaff was polite and professional however service was quite slow. Our experience left so much to be desired.
