This was my first time here and I was very impressed! When we pulled in the parking lot, there was a ton of parking on all sides of the building. They had a decent amount of handicap parking as well on the sides of the building. There was also a drive thru in the back that we discovered upon leaving! When we walked in, it was bigger than expected. There were tons of booths and tables. I was impressed by the use of space because there was still plenty of aisle/walking room and none of the tables were too close together. The ordering system was definitely different, but I guess it wasn't anything different than a place like Chic Fil A. There was a line against one wall, and when you got to the front, you ordered, grabbed a tray. You were then either expected to wait for your food there, or they would give you a number and call you up later if your food was going to take longer. The only issue with this, is that we weren't familiar with this process, so it was a bit confusing. The staff was very friendly though, and they answered all questions very nicely. After waiting in the line for probably 7 ish minutes, we ordered, got our food almost right away, paid, and sat at a booth near a window. I must note that the prices were very reasonable. They had a lot of cheaper options and upgrade options. The food was also very customizable which was nice. The food was everything you could want for a traditional burger and fries meal. The fries came unsalted, which I prefer, but they had salt at each table. The burgers were loaded, but they weren't too big to the point that they were hard to eat. The only thing I might like better was if they had a self-serve drink station. There was a self serve water station, but I guess even when dining in the soft drinks were not refillable. The vibe was nothing special at all. The interior, technology, menu board, and basically everything there was pretty outdated. I just think this is a place where you aren't going there for the vibe, so it doesn't matter. It did not take away from the experience at all, and I will definitely be going back! 10/10 recommended! Stock standard fare. It tastes okay. Kids love it. Hubby likes their breakfast and doesn't mind their burgers. I loved this place when I was a kid, but maybe my adult palette is too discerning now? If I go, I order a Mr. Burger or Olive burger. I do like their coleslaw, but am usually disappointed with their under seasoned fries. I must admit I was annoyed with my husband when he said he wanted to go 20 minutes out of our way to go to a place named Mr. Burger. We always eat a burger places and I was ready for something new. Little did I know his suggestion was exactly where I'd find my new favorite sandwich. Not only do they sell burgers, but they sell all day breakfast, sandwiches and an array of desserts. I love club sandwiches so I ordered to one they have on pitas bread (minus tomato) with onion rings while my husband got a bacon burger with fries. I was tempted to get a slice of pecan pie but I wasn't hungry enough. While you do order at the counter they do have table service. It felt like we had just sat down when they delivered the food to our table. Man, best club sandwich I've ever had. I didnt think I'd love the pita but it wasn't one of the hard beige/wheat ones my mom used to buy at the store. No, it was fluffy and mmmmm so good. Food is great (especially the olive burger and the chocolate pie) and I love the set up. We live in Southern Maryland/Virginia area and dearly wish they had Mr. Burger near us. What an adventure! The menu is wrong online and when I called to ask they said pretty much the only way is to come in and get a takeout menu. No big. Drove there and got one. Once me and the homeless guy I was getting food for figured out our order I drove back for the goodies! After ordering and paying, mind you they are about to close and I'm the last customer, just a veteran buying a meal for me and my homeless friend, I made a joke about the cookies they would throw away at the end of the night, like in five minutes and said if it's free give me three? Everybody thought it was funny except the manager who told me he would give me one cookie if I never came back. It's amazing to see so much hate come out of an Asian American during times like this. I knew this place was in a conservative area but with a church around every corner you'd think they wouldn't shun the homeless so much. Best olive burgers in west Michigan. If you're not from the area, know that olive burgers are a "thing" out here. Almost every restaurant has them on their menu. But the olive burgers at Mr. Burger are a cut above the rest. Not all restaurants use an olive sauce on their burgers (just diced olives), but the mayo-olive sauce here is absolutely perfect. I've attempted several times to replicate it at home, to no avail. Highly recommend any one of the GR-area locations (although the Hudsonville one is the one I eat at most). read more

Mr. Burger has been a staple in our family for years, but lately we have been less than impressed. We love the fact it's open until 10pm, makes for a great place to stop for late night fries and a shake. However, last night we showed up about 9:15 and the staff had already mopped the floors, cleaned the grills, packed the pies away etc. We showed up with 4 people possibly wanting to order burgers, fries, and shakes. No welcome was given to us, and the young staff gave us blank stares as if to say "great, what are these people doing here and what are they going to order, we just cleaned up (insert eye roll)." We felt too bad ordering burgers after seeing their reaction to us coming in after 9, so we just ordered fries and ice cream. Food was good but we were met with eye rolls all around. One member of our group felt bad for us being the only ones there, so when we finished eating she packed up our table and brought our tray up front kindly, but was met by an extremely rude bus boy who promptly shouted "JUST LEAVE IT AT YOUR TABLE". Eh. Tried the drive thru. First time I've been to a Mr. Burger. It was about 2:20 and I was second in line. I thought it might take a while being a restaurant but I had my food in about 3 minutes from ordering to getting to the window. I was disappointed because the grease smell wasn't great. I ordered a deluxe and small fry. I assumed the deluxe would have pickles, onion, lettuce, tomato and maybe cheese but this only came with shredded lettuce and tomato. Over all it wasn't bad, I might be back to try something else. One Google review said the onion rings we're good. Fries were decent but needed salt and something to dip them in. read more

When you walk in Mr. Burger appears to be the average affordable cafeteria style restaurant. But looks can be deceiving and in fact are in this case. Sure, you can get your standard American fare but here the burgers are fresh off the grill. They are cooked to order when you order as are the fries and onion rings. And that makes ALL the difference. A very juicy and delicious difference. I can totally recommend the Mr. O which consists of a double burger with the Midwest original green olive spread. Cool little divey burger joint outside Grand Rapids. Reminds me of Halo Burger, with some fresh-grilled meat, good attention to customer experience, and a broad selection of pies. It looks a bit no-frills, and for being a very clean place still comes across as a greasy spoon experience. But I could totally see this as the place to meet friends or family for a reunion or after the big game. Breakfast is great and so is the service, but at night it's a different story. They had a sign advertising malts, sm, med, lg. My wife and daughter went through the drive through and ordered 2 medium malts. She was told (lectured actually) that Mr. Burger does not sell medium malts. My wife informed the drive-thru attendant that the sign said medium malts and the drive through attendant accused her of lying and started being very nasty. My wife then ordered a small malt but the girl just wouldn't let it go. She continued to harass my wife. My wife was so upset that she never even thought of asking for the manager. It probably wouldn't have done any good anyway. Bad employees never get fired for being rude to customers. For all I know it could have been the manager herself at the drive thru.
