Pacific Coast Termite has won my loyalty and business for future needs. We had another company come and do an inspection of our home and they told us that our attic was full of termites. They even showed me pictures of my supposed attic. After 20 minutes of an inspection they recommended treatment with a cost of $1600.00. I had read some great reviews on Pacific Coast Termite so decided to get a second opinion. Blake Wilson was the one who came to our home to conduct the inspection. He was such a professional. They laid paper down prior to going into the attic, wore booties and cleaned up after themselves. After thoroughly inspecting our Attic he told us that we DID NOT have termites and that the pictures the other company provided of our attic were not of my attic at all. Needless to say I was floored by the news as well as the honesty. Blake was a true professional and because of him I will only use Pacific Coast Termite, should the need arise. I have shared this story with so many friends, neighbors, and others. Scott was a nice young man. He educated me on what to look for with regards to termites. He was extremely informative. To my surprise I don't have termites. I live in a mobile home and termites are rampant in our community. O was concerned a tell me I had termites even if I did'nt have any, and charge me for a service I didn't need.. I've heard about Pacific Coast Termite for years on KFI. When I found termite feces in my house, I decided to give them a call. Matt did the inspection and it was very thorough. He found mud tubes in the attic and dry wood termite damage on several facia boards. He showed me the damaged wood and photos from the attic as well. Sam and Manny did the termite treatment and it was so easy! No tenting or moving out!! Smelled nice too! Since I live in a condominium, this was the best alternative since tenting can't be done unless everyone in my building agrees to it. Ricky completed the rodent inclusion today and was very thorough and showed me photos of a nest and other items left behind. He will be coming by and checking the traps weekly. I would recommend this company based on my experience with Blake who came out and thoroughly inspected my very old all-wood house. He was courteous, professional, honest and thorough. He only found a small case of possible termites in one window and then gave me the various options of using Pacific Coast for a two year guarantee for the whole house or having the house tented (yuk!!) or hiring another company to just treat the 1 window. I have nothing but praise for Pacific Coast Termite. We called a company that does tenting and got a reasonable quote but we had to bag everything and leave the house for three days. They also said we would definitely have broken roof tiles that we would have to replace when they were done and possibly lose some plants and bushes that were up against the house. They also only guaranteed it for six months. I heard a radio ad for Pacific Coast Termite that said they use orange oil and that it's so safe you don't even have to leave the house while they treat it. They also gave a two year guarantee. We were worried that they might be way more expensive but when we took the cost of replacing roof tiles, which the technician estimated to around $700 into consideration, they were about the same price. They were quick and efficient and when they were done the house had a wonderful orange smell for a couple days. The best part is that any time we see a termite, and they swarm at different times of the year whether you tent or do orange oil, we give them a call and they are here within a couple days to inspect and take care of anything they find. The technicians are the nicest guys and really know their stuff. They have even called a few days later to make sure they didn't miss anything. Probably the best customer service we've seen in any company for a long time. We just used them for rodent exclusion and are very happy so far. They are truly a full service company and have no problem driving wherever they need to go as we live far from their offices. They have a customer for life in us! read more

We requested a termite inspection and quote from this company. Kenny came to inspect the property. He showed up and inspected the property. The guy did damage to my home by banging the eves, punching holes with a paint brush pole and leaving more visual damage to our property than was there to begin with. I was pissed! And on top of that he left orange paint marker on white eves where there was suspected terminate damage. I asked him why they needed to pound the wood so hard and cause damage and his response was, "that's apart of life and he needed to do it." My question is " are you going fix all the damage you caused?" If you have termite inspection done, follow them around to make sure they are not damaging your property. Not doing business with these people. Whether you have visual damage to your property or not don't let these people bang around your home. You'll regret it! read more

The two technicians who did the treating, Miguel and Jose, were both very courteous, clean and hard working. They spent quite some time in a hot attic. Very pleased with them. Time will tell if the alternative chemicals, as opposed to poisons, will solve the problem. Did not go with the Orange Oil as it only effective for a few days. read more

The annual contract with Pacific Coast Termite is an absolute necessity in SoCal. We have wooden windows which seem to be a termite favorite. I noticed some droppings last week and realized my annual inspection (part of yearly contracts) was scheduled for today. The technician, Brian, arrived on-time, treated the window, and inspected the house from attic to basement. Then, he completed a full walkabout looking for droppings and any other signs of damage. After one year of termite treatment by Pacific Coast Termite, we found termites again, we called Pacific Termite and Omar came and inspected the house, then he helped us to scheduled an appointment with himself because he knows where the problems were. Today he came on time and worked on the infected areas for two and half hours. Not only addressed the termite issue, he also found and fixed a water damaged area under our house. He also pointed out water leaking issues around our sliding door. Recommended us to seal those areas before rain season. He completed and exceeded his task, we are very happy to have him here for the service, highly recommended, will require him for next year's inspection or service if needed. read more

I have facia boards that have damage from either dry rot or dry wood termites. I have had several reputable termite companies come out to give me estimates on repairing the facia boards and some subterranean termite damage. The company representatives have had to check the crawl space and attic space to see the damage, after which the companies listed their findings on an estimate. All estimates I have received ranged from a low of $1600 to a high of $2250. Pacific Coast Termite came out to the house to give me an estimate on the termite and repair work. When the representative arrived I explained to him that we have a crawl space and he would have to also check the attic space. He gave me some attitude by saying, "Our smaller guys usually crawl under the house. I am too big". I then asked if he would check the attic, he responded he would, and shortly after the conversation, he began the inspection. When Pacific Coast Termites Representative finished his estimate he asked me for an email address to send the estimate to. I gave him my email address and said he would email it to me. He didn't say when I would receive the estimate AND HE DID NOT CHECK THE ATTIC SPACE. He said goodbye and left. A day later I received the estimate. Pacific Coast Termite is over $2,000 more than any of the other large termite companies for the same work without even seeing the damage that is in the in attic space or under the house to with the subterranean termite damage I would not recommend this company at all. read more

In 2010, I called PCT as I found termite droppings in the bathroom. I think the inspector and the technicians were quite professional but the inspection was not very thorough. And I have adequate time to review the report before signing up. Orange Oil was used and they were done in 6 hours. 2 years later, they reminded me to review their warranty which was $350. I did not do that. But now I found heavy termite infestion all around my house. Called Prime termite for inspection. The inspector said Orange Oil is not very effective and recommended Boracare and Termidor instead. So why bother with Orange Oil in the first place, costing me $1900 for nothing. Gordon termites used Timbor and it seemed to last longer. But I would not recommend Gordon at all. Turns out Pacific Coast did use Orange Oil/Boracare/Alpine Foam for treatment but it is not doing the job. read more

Do you have unwelcome visitors? I don't mean Uncle Henry and Aunt Sara. I'm talking about the little flying ants also known as termites. Used to be you'd have to drape your house with a tent. Having lived in Florida, I'm very familiar with the process. Pack up all the dishes, empty the fridge, move out to a hotel, oh, and don't forget the pets! And the plants too! Meanwhile, your poor house is going, "Does this tent make my butt look big?" But now that I live in the land of the evolved and the eco-friendly, I can just hire a company to pressure-inject a really concentrated form of orange oil (this isn't the stuff you spray on your furniture, kids!) into the wood and poof! No more unwanted house guests. Most smaller jobs take a few hours, you and your pets don't have to vacate, no poisonous gas is injected in the house, and it's MUCH MUCH better for the environment. (Did you know that the Vikane gas that fumigators use eventually lands up in the ocean? "Can I have a side of poison sushi with my pest control?") Pacific warranties the house from any termite infestation for 2 years so if those little bastards come back, who you gonna call? Post Busters! Or something like that. When the 2 years are up, you can renew annually so that your house is always covered. Uh, I guess that should be uncovered since it will never need to be wrapped in ugly polyester ever again. read more

Contacted them because I read great Yelp reviews. Boy was I wrong. Had the worst experience ever. Inspector and his "supervisor" came with very heavy sales tactic. While the inspector was doing his inspections outside, the supervisor came into my house without asking. I was shocked when I was entering the house with the inspector, the supervisor exited my front door already with a quote before the inspector had a chance to check out the infestation. Not only that but as the inspector was checking the inside of the house, the supervisor started punching little holes all over the exterior part of my house as I was inside the house with the inspector. I literally got my trims painted the day before and noticed all of the little holes he punched right after they left. I called Pacific Coast Termite immediately to complain and they told me that they would forward to their quality control manager. That was about three weeks ago and they never called me back. Spent a full day to fill all of the little holes that the supervisor punched and repainted. So unprofessional! 4 stars for service. 2 stars for irritation from treatment fumes. Great inspection by Ward, he went into places no other company's inspector did. They were a little challenged in some communication, their contract process is confusing. Clean during the treatment, used plastic sheets on floor. Joseph and his partner did the treatment and were very professional. They were scheduled to arrive between 8 and 10am and they showed up right at 10am. Only issue, when they were using orange oil and borocare, I found the fumes permeated the house and made me very uncomfortable. I'm very sensitive to smells. My throat felt very coarse and ticklish and my eyes itched badly. I opened windows but it didn't help much. Even the second day, the house still smelled strongly of orange oil which made me uncomfortable, particularly my eyes. I suggested to Joseph and Ward that they should hook up a temporary attic fan exhausting out an attic vent before they start treating an attic. I heard their ad on the radio and received a 10% discount. My house is a two story 2200 square foot house. Attic is very tight with truss work due to concrete roof tiles. They treated two areas in the attic and three areas on the outside of the house with orange oil. They sprayed borocare throughout the attic. They also sprayed the ground with orange oil all around the house foundation. My cost, $2000. This was about the same price as whole house fumigation but without having to move out. If it were more affordable, I'd tent/fumigate and also do the orange oil/borocare. I will use PCT again but probably will leave the house or require them to hook up an attic exhaust fan during treatment. read more

Prior to his visit, I received a confirmation email with the name of the inspector (Matt) as well as a picture and a voicemail confirming our appointment for today. Some might think this is overwhelming but I was impressed and appreciated the way PCT attended to me, especially since another termite control company with whom I had set an appointment (or thought I had) earlier this week never shown up or called the day of. They were able to schedule my appt right away. I had my whole house sprayed 6 months ago and a new addition to my house treated today as a preventative measure. They offer a Borax spray for untreated wood and an orange oil treatment to get into crevices of painted wood. Yeah it smelled like wet, orangy wood right after, but that faded within a day and it was worth it to not have to tent. The staff was knowledegable, efficient and didn't try to oversell me services I don't need.
