Enjoyed my experience at Pacific Catch. You would think there are a lot of seafood restaurants in this area, but there aren't. I stumbled upon this place when I was craving seafood one afternoon. It wasn't crowded but had a steady flow of customers while I was there. I was greeted promptly and sat on the patio, nice and decent view. I ended up with the swordfish, which was yummy. They don't have it every day, although there were other items on the menu which looked appealing as well. I went back a few weeks later and had the fish tacos, also good. read more

I usually love my Pac Catch dishes & everyone at the Corte Madera is always so friendly & helpful. Maybe tonight was an off night but I got an poke wasabi bowl with lettuce to go & the portion seemed way smaller than it usually is. Normally I wouldn't care but when you're paying almost $18 I would expect more. (Especially since Blue Barn which is at the same shopping center charges less & their salads are huge & packed with a ton of ingredients.) read more

My dinner was delicious! Thai bowl with salmon & coconut lots of greens and rice my favorite dish at pacific catch.

Amazing food, just came here for my 22nd birthday and the service was superb. Drinks were amazing and they included a desert on the house. I don't do many reviews, but this place is Rave Worthy. Get their Wagyu burger, it will change your world. read more

WONDERFUL! Man, I can't stop thinking about this place. I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone wanting a delicious, fresh, and filling meal. Asian Fusion - they offer everything from salads to sushi, Japanese rice bowls to Hawaiian plates. Tacos to steak and seafood fare. Ok - I could go on and on, but I really think you need to check this place out for yourself. Go ahead and take the first step. Click on the link to their website (located above my review!) Trust me - it's as delish as delish gets. If you're into that kind of thing... read more

I like it hear because it's super casual and I can get a big salad for $10 or so. My hubby usually goes for the tacos and gobbles them up in 10 seconds flat so our meal is not only casual but fast. Yup, fast food for Marin. I've tried every salad and they are all good...and big. I had a hard time finishing the crab advocado salad. Maybe a bit too rich for me. All in all, good value. read more

Wandered in on a Sunday afternoon. Not very crowded, and greeted and seated immediately. Good variety of seafood and Asian cuisine on the menu. Drinks: ice tea, but seamed to have a flavor, not true "ice tea". Appies: had the fried calamari with spicy dipping sauce. Very taisty! Entree: catch of the day fish & chips. Very juicy and chips were super spicy, yah!!! Service: attentive. pleasant & laid back. Only complaint was that my husband's tea wasn't refilled, so he just drank mine. No big, I was done. Five stars. Removing one star for the condition of the ladies bathroom. First stall's seat was completely coming off. Must have been missing some screws. The second stall (handicapped) was covered in urine and tissue/seat covers tossed all over the stall. I'm pretty sure we just missed the rush and this was the result. Still, should be sanitary. read more

Just had one of the worst meals I've ever had that was delivered from this place via Caviar. I had ordered almost the exact same order previously and it was delicious about a month ago. This time, there was no dressing on anything and everything was cold. Then while I was eating the scoop of ice cream there was a hard piece of plastic I pulled out of my mouth that I bit into. The miso bowl I ordered had no dressing (or maybe it was just olive oil-no flavor.) the "Thai" Brussels sprouts tasted like plain Brussels sprouts, no flavor or anything Thai about it. The chicken taco had no spicy aioli on it. Couldn't eat anything. Still starving after waiting over an hour for my food. And down $42. Never taking that risk again. read more

Waiter was a little snobby and had to be pinned down several times for basic requests and my friend's coffee was delivered tepid. It also seemed to be a bit of a chore for him when I asked the waiter to take our picture. There were hardly any people there and he was standing by the host station at the time. It was nice that we were not rushed out as things were dying down when we go there at prime eating hour, but they were unable to accommodate our request to change the seating to the outdoor area within a reasonable time. The place did seem to be rather crowded on a Friday night recently, so obviously it has an appeal. There were a lot of small kids there, so be warned if you're looking for a non-family place. We had a party of three adults. The food was pretty darn good. It is like an Asian fusion place and I tried the covered ice cream (forgot what it's called). Parking was convenient, but we noticed that there were some BMW's and Mercedes cars that felt entitled to parking askew, causing some of the closest spots to be unavailable for no reason. It was not intentional, just arrogant and sloppy. read more

Awwwww - it's always so disappointing when something goes downhill. We used to really enjoy the food at pacific catch, but the last 3 visits (we gave them 3 chances because we used to like them so much) the food has been very disappointing. They've changed the menu a bit - no more asparagus. I'm guessing the fish isn't as fresh anymore, as it smells of funky fish underneath cleanser smells now, and the bathroom has been NASTY the last few times we've been there. I've always felt the bathroom is a great reflection on the overall cleanliness and quality of a food place - with the bathroom here sure reflects it. It's been very unclean the last few visits. No longer recommended - go elsewhere.... ----------------------------------------------------------------- Old review (before they went downhill...) Love it - we eat here a lot. My only complaint is it seems they've cut staff so the service is slooooooow. They are super kid friendly and many families eat here. They offer nontraditional Seafood (fish taco's, banana wrapped fish dishes, etc.), Rice bowls (brown rice, jasmine rice, sweet pineapple rice), black beans, etc. - a very interesting mix, but pretty much something to please just about everybody. The asparagus with wasabi dip is YUMMY!!!! If you get the fish tacos, ask for a side of the Jalapeno tartar sauce - mmmm, mmmm! If you're seeking a quiet, intimate, adult-only type place - don't come here. If you're a family with kids of ANY age - you'll find something for everyone. (Just don't expect to get in and out in a hurry...) Yum! read more

It can be pricey, but oh is Pacific Catch good. Of the three currently open, the one on 9th has the best decor but the one in Corte Madera can't be beat for its light crowds and excellent outdoor seating with a roaring fire when called for. We have had several things from the menu, all of which have been recommendable. Our personal favorites, though, are the Vietnamese sandwiches that can be ordered off menu. It's always been a pleasant experience to go to any of the locations, and the overall selection of food is a little unique compared to other restaurants we have sampled. Suffice to say, we will be coming back again and again over time. read more

Went back recently, as this is where we go with my family in town. I'm telling you those wasabi crab bowls are legit. I would eat that 3 times a week if I could. I will when the Pacific Catch in San Mateo opens, it seems like it's taking FOREVER and we can't wait! I wanted to improve my rating because the service this time was much improved. I wish I had gotten our server's name, he really is doing this restaurant a solid. I am going to sound like an old lady but what a nice young man. Not too many like that at that age, pleasant, efficient, quick to bring us stuff and remembered what we wanted, professional, warm, helpful and seemed to genuinely like his job. We're a table of 7 with a child and some different personalities so the service makes a big difference. I told him on the way out what a great server he was, I hope my dad gave him a nice tip! read more

The worst customer service ever! The food was okay but the service we received from Ashley was simply POOR. Save your money and go get sushi or go to all the other great restaurants in the area that treat you decently. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE...even it the entire meal was free. RUDE WAITRESSES are not cool! Seriously, go elsewhere and enjoy a nice evening out with friends/ family. read more

We've been going to this location for decades. It was our special family afternoon retreat, a beautiful place with nice weather, friendly staff & delicious food. Yesterday we've had the shock of our lives when a very unfriendly, border-line angry person "greeted" us at the door. The restaurant was empty but he made us wait, "understandably under the distancing rule" I though. Yet when we returned upon him paging us, he was even more hostile asking me to wait so rudely, I was stunned to the point of tears. This is unprecedented & very sad. read more

Lots to choose from on the menu. My first experience here, I got the curry bowl with chicken. It was really tasty and pretty large. My boyfriend got fish and chips- also great! Since I happen to work in the area, I have few choices between healthy and unhealthy lunch choices. Pacific Catch opened up just when I couldn't stomach the thought of another plastic experience at Baja Fresh or a Wrip-off roll from World Wraps. Pacific Catch does feel like a chain restaurant, the interior is ultra-modern, though not industrial, and it doesn't feel cheap. The space is fairly comfortable, with a large dining room where you aren't rubbing elbows like you do at Il Fornaio. The husband/wife, or partner/partner, owners (is it a franchise?) were very hands on in the beginning and eager to please. But I haven't seen them the last two visits or so, and currently, the service suffers, ranging from complete indifference to downright dismissive, but I'm never really bothered by such behavior if the food is worth it. It's of interest to me that the prep stations/grill kitchen is more or less in plain view of the dining room, and I've caught them making major errors w/my (or my guests) orders just by watching. For example: "Excuse, me waiter, I saw you put crab on the rice -- I told you my friend here is deathly allergic to shellfish", I called out to the waiter garnishing one of our dishes with a scoop of crab. The waiter comes over and says, "No problem I'll take care of it." And then I watch him scrape out as much of the crab as he could and bring the bowl back to our table. Hey, what part of DEATHLY ALLERGIC and THERE'S STILL CRABBY BITS ON THE RICE didn't he get? So it was good to be able to see things going on before my friend took a bite and ended up in the E.R. (really ruins a good lunch, I tell you). The fish is fresh, and I haven't yet run into the ubiquitous problem of the cheap, sinewy end pieces being passed off in a meal salad, which is in their favor. I do, however, find their protein portions rather meager for the price (there's more protein in a chirashi bowl at a sushi place for the same price). The wasabi bowls, meal-sized salads and fish tacos are stand-outs as are the sweet potato fries (These are really good. Worth ordering on the side). I am particularly pleased that they offer brown sushi rice! I'd give them 4 stars, but for the aforementioned crabby incident and a few other cringe-inducing mistakes by inattentive waitstaff, who could have boosted the rating by simply acknowledging and making right their mistakes, but didn't. Overall I find the food to be fresh, well-prepared and a good alternative to the other choices available at the Town Centre. read more

Four words: do not eat here. It wasn't absolutely horrible, but it was definitely mediocre. Here is why: * I don't know what other people were talking about on here, but the sweet potato fries were not that good. After reading everyone else's reviews on here about how awesome the fries are, I was looking forward to trying them. Sadly, I was greatly disappointed. When we got our food, the fries were COLD and looked like they had been sitting around all day (and this was lunch time, too). Plus, the taste was nothing to rave about. I've had better fries at Wendy's, honestly. At least you can get them WARM over there. * The staff was unfriendly. When we first entered the restaurant, the young woman at the counter didn't even greet us. All of the waitresses and waiters seemed really stuck up and unhelpful. * The miso soup was mediocre, at best. You can get better miso soup elsewhere at a regular Japanese restaurant for a cheaper price. Plus, they don't give you very much. * There were flies everywhere in the restaurant. I had to keep swatting at them to keep them away from our food. If they have such a fly problem, why don't they just keep the doors closed? * We had the fish and chips, and the fish was probably the only positive part of the dining experience. It was fresh and didn't have a "fishy" taste at all. I've had better fish elsewhere, but it was still very good. It's the only reason I gave this place two stars. All in all, it wasn't a good dining experience. I would suggest going elsewhere for better quality food and a friendlier staff. Don't waste your time with this place. read more

Went here for a late lunch after a day at Muir Beach. Looked nice and smelled good, so why not? OMG, their food is to die for! I had the California salmon sandwich....so fresh, smoky and just plain good My daughter had the Teriyaki Bowl with shrimp and she ate almost the whole thing Hubby had fish and chips and said it was "the bomb" Staff is SUPER friendly and btw, the "coleslaw" they give you is SOOOOO good Loved it!!!! read more

In search of great Fish and Chips I saw various pictures of theirs and read good reviews about their F&C so I decided to try them out. Well ... I was underwhelmed by the portions for the price. When I got my meal, it felt really light and that's because it was meager in size. I got 3 pieces of fish and laid side by side they equaled about 4x4 inches of fish. These were scrawny pieces. The pictures of their fish and chips must be taken by a fish eye lens and the food laid out on a coffee cup plate to make the portions look big. I was only disappointed by how much I paid for so little. The fries were your generic fast food fries and not those crispy creamy steak fries one would expect. In my heart I was saying, "what the!!" when I saw the fries. These fish fingers were not the thick planks of fish I grew up with from HS Fish & Chips of yesteryear with piles of steak fries. These were nothing in portion sizes like you get in London or on Polk Street in SF. Now for the good. The fish was thinly battered, not greasy and perfectly golden. The fish was from one end to the other gorgeous, moist, chunky, white, flaky fish. Nice flavor - no fishiness. Would that there was more of the fish instead of three modest fork fulls per chunkette of fish. Not enough to make your cheek bulge. The fries, though generic in cut, had a nice darker color and were perfectly seasoned. The tartar sauce was stellar with just a bit of mild zip from jalapeno. The coleslaw with peanuts in it for a kind of Asian fusion was not fresh at all and uninspired. Paid 12.50 and felt that ~$9 would've been a better price for this small bite or snack. Friendly staff and nice Elephant Bar vibe inside. Would I ever go back? If I didn't care about spending so much for so little. So if that were true, I would definitely go for the 4 piece F&C for the fish alone because it is good and would want to make sure I got filled up. Including tax and tip that would cost ~$18. read more

Excellent food, the appetizers are a good portion for the price and they have a great variety, the sushi was very fresh and healthy not necessarily popping with flavor but very original taste, the Vietnamese steak sandwich will not leave you disappointed amazing and extremely flavor full with a great spice to it, very happy with everything I ate here and the service was very good and food came out surprisingly fast read more

Its definitely one of the better chain restaurants in Marin, but still very typical suburban food. Its not amazing, but certainly not bad. The service is iffy. Sometimes they're attentive, other times you wonder if they've even seen you. If you're looking for take-out, they are by far the best take-out in the area. I've noticed a lot of restaurants around here half-ass the food when they know its a take-out order (BJs is the WORST!!!), but not here. We've ordered everything from ceviche, to their korean bbq ribs, ahi salad, fish and chips, and a bbq chicken sandwich to-go, and its all been just as good as if you were eating in. read more

What a thorough disappointment - a seafood restaurant with basically no fish offerings! We ate there on a Friday night, queuing for quite a while to get in. We expected to have a plethora of fish offerings from which to choose. Initially we had asked for cocktails before our meal, but when they hadn't arrived by the time the soup and salad arrived we had to cancel them. Oddly enough the waitress seemed a tad surprised we didn't want to drink vodka with our soup! I have to say that the crab chowder was excellent. However it was all downhill from there. My salad was arguably the most boring meal I have ever experienced - it seems like somebody had bought a bag of arugula, diced a few tomatoes into it, added a few peas with a minimal dressing. I could only eat 4 or 5 mouthfuls before putting it aside. The children ordered fish and chips which arrived with only a handful of french fries. The one thing that struck me looking at the menu was that the only seem to offer salmon and tuna as a fish dish. It would seem to me that if you bill yourself as a fish restaurant that you would have many different selections of fish to choose from, not just the two most popular in the world! Anyways this was my first visit there in 10 years, and I don't think I'll be back for another 10! read more

They understand there is a world pandemic and go out of their way regarding take out orders. They wear masks, social distance and bring my order to my car. Two of us went for lunch today and I tried the lobster roll on the recommendation of someone I trusted and it was GREAT! I was able to substitute the Hawaiian roll for a ciabatta roll which was perfect. The coleslaw was delicious as were the sweet potato fries. A tad more expensive than a place like this should be. Outside, the patio had lovely (and expensive) teak furniture, but inside it looked like a tiki dive bar. The Unagi rice bowl was reasonably well presented and certainly not bad, but at $15 for lunch not including miso, a real japanese place would've done it cheaper, if not better. Perhaps I'm bothered by the fact that they're trying to sell tacos and sushi at the same place, and it's unnerving, or perhaps the food is mediocre because they don't focus on one or the other. If you're headed to this place and your heart is not set on a rare ahi steak or a large chunk of unagi, I'd just take a left instead of a right and go to il Fornaio. read more

Terrible! The sweet potato fries, which they are known for, were soggy; the mahi mahi tacos were not prepared very well and tasted like they'd been sitting under a fast food heat lamp for hours. The tuna in the wasabi bowl was tough, fishy and chewy, which means it wasn't very fresh. I've been to this location several times, as I live in Marin, but every time I've been there, the food was atrocious. It is the same food alright, but it all depends on the preparation. If you're looking for tasty, screamin' Pacific Catch, I highly recommend the original Chestnut St. location in San Francisco. The chefs know what they're doing and you can even watch it being prepared for you, if you get a seat at the bar. read more

I really like this restaurant. The atmosphere is very laid back Californian style. Both the patio area and the main dining area are very nice. My go-to dishes are the different pan-asian rice bowls that they offer. Watch out, their sweet potato fries are pretty addicting! On one visit my husband and I stopped at the bar for a drink. The bartender was so nice, and in addition to making really good drinks, he also gave us a coupon for a free sushi roll on our next visit. We had a great time. More recently I came with my friend and her two-year old son. The staff were very accomodating even as he tried to eat a small dish of ketchup! read more

Been here once before and it was pretty good. Going the second time, I found that the food wasn't that good. Sandwiches were OK, but when ordering the calamari as an appetizer, it came out a sloppy mess. It was beyond greasy, and the batter fell right off the calamari when trying to dip it in the sauce. It came out super fast, and it seemed like the cooks put it right on the plate (grease and all) just to get it out of the way. The service was good. No complaint. The food sure wasn't worth the price (or the drive there). I rather not try this place a third time. read more
