What a bunch of losers! I went to the store over a year ago to schedule an estimate. The "manager" assured me she was sending her most experienced estimator. David, I think. He came and spent over two hours measuring. A waste if 2 hours of my Saturday. I never heard from him again. I called the manager over a month later to find out what happened and she had no idea. Last year when we remodeled the house we had a wonderful experience with this company for all are windows. So now that we are moving on to re do our backyard we of course called them again for a patio cover. They came out the next day and took measurements and even did a digital drawing of what it will look like with our house. The cover looks fabulous , perfect. I wrote a review for Pacific Builders in 2014 when they fixed a leak in my solarium, after 25 years of ownership. At the time i lauded them for honoring a warranty after so many years. Well, unfortunately it sprung another leak this winter, so I contacted them and again they sent someone out to fix it, at no cost to me. I really appreciate a company that stands behind their warranty and didn't complain about fixing the solarium, but just recognized that a customer is having a problem. Our solarium no longer leaks, thanks to their quick and efficient response. We had a guy name Dave come out to give us an estimate for our backyard, master bath and front siding of the house. We wait 2 weeks for the estimate he still hasn't sent it. My husband contacts Dave and he swears up & down he emailed it...liar liar! Never sent it. We go into Pacific Builders the receptionist contacts Dave. He speaks to my husband and again says he emailed the estimate. WTF?! If it was sent why would we keep asking for it?! Duhhhh! Then he says he's in a "meeting" and has to go. How is this guy still employed? My husband calls back a few days later and speaks with the owner. Finally the estimate we've waited 3 weeks for has been sent. Wow...really? I wish I could give negative stars because this company is a minus 10 to me. Don't let their multi-generation family business advertisements deceive you. In April 2013, Steve came to my mother's home to bid a complete bathroom remodel and add a walk-in tub. The initial bid was good, so we signed a contract. Then, the nightmare began. Every couple of week, Steve would contact us with a "new problem". Each new problem required an additional $1500.00-$2000.00 unless it was a downgrade from the original contract. We received no credit or refund for downgrades. Soon, we were 40% over the original bid and the changes no longer suited my mother's needs, which was the purpose of the remodel. Additionally, Steve repeated said that if there were problems with the plumbing after they tore out the walls (the house is 8 years old), there would be additional charges. In November, Rick, the owner, said the original bid was too low and there was nothing he could do other than cancel the contract and return the deposit. So, cancel the contract, we did, but to date, NO REFUND. read more

About 8 years ago I added a sunroom on to my house. Dave was the salesperson. What a crook, liar and a theif! He told me that it would add value on to my house, additional square footage, etc. Well, I am having my home appraised for the first time since the sunroom was added. My appraiser just informed me that these "rooms" do not add gross living area to the home. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We contracted Pacific Builders to build a sunroom off of our back porch. The process of setting up appointments was arduous. They took an inordinate amount of time just to get someone out to the property. When they finally did and we drafted up plans, their follow-up was lousy. Didn't return calls, didn't show up for set appointments. We finally decided on a design and after taking a $1,000 deposit (which they assured us was refundable) they completely seemed to drop us. We wanted to meet prior to the anticipated start date because we had some modifications we wanted to the design. Someone finally came back up to revise the plans but then it took weeks to get them back to us. When we finally received them, they increased the price by almost $10,000 - and they hadn't done one single thing to advance the project. After four months, we decided we had enough and asked to cancel the contract and get our deposit back. Oh...they canceled the contract...the deposit - suddenly no one at Pacific Builders seemed to remember assuring us "You will absolutely get your deposit back." Shady, shitty company. read more

He was very courteous, professional, and efficient. Everyone else who followed (including the installers) were on time, friendly, professional and efficient. I had my patio done by Pacific Builder of Sacramento , Dave came he said he is the owner , showed me several designs of a patio , I ended up having their Duralum product , with a built in one sided wall . Price was also discussed , I really thought that they are good and nice , the patio was done and the wall was built It looks very good but the problem started when it rain a lot that next week and water started to sip underneath the one sided wall , they forgot to apply a sealant or caulk , I called 3 times, nobody seem to remember me and kept asking my name , Nobody showed up to fix the problem . The last person that I talked to said , I was yelling at him , well I have a hearing problem so my voice which I thouhgt was normal tone can be perceived as yelling to orhers . I told him that my next call will come from my lawyer . I believed he was upset then , until this day nobody came . I will give them a failing mark . Hope anybody out there will see my review and think several times before they will pick up Pacific Builder of Sacramento. read more

I highly recommend Pacific Builders if you are looking for a courteous, helpful and very professional staff that knows what they are doing. I didn't get 100% but received 120%! I have a typical backyard that I wanted transformed into a large kitchen and a very large patio cover looking like a garden oasis. It does! I constantly entertain and everyone that enters my backyard is in awe... Actually, I just had a grand-daughters graduation party this past weekend and the folks that were taking pictures of it was overwhelming. Dave was my consultant, Jeff was my electrician and Alan did the major construction. I can't say enough about how easy it was to work with them. They met every one of my expectations, and believe me....... mine are VERY HIGH! Though it was major construction it never seemed like it, because every night they cleaned up. To a perfectionist like me, that meant a lot. No debris or dirt was every left in my backyard keeping my wood floors very clean. Dave, Jeff an Alan had so much patience with me. I kept changing things in mid-stream. If my husband was alive he would have strangled me. BUT, it was so worth it. Wow, not sure how legit that negative review is because I think Pacific Builders is a great company! We were in a time sensitive situation because we had concrete scheduled to be poured and the footings for the patio cover needed to be installed before that could happen. The other patio cover company we were working with dropped the ball and left us in a bad situation. I found Pacific Builders online and called them in a panic. Robb answered and was FABULOUS throughout the process. His customer service exceeded my expectations! Pacific Builders quoted a fair price, showed up when they said they would and did an excellent job on our patio cover. It looks great and I couldn't be happier! Our patio cover design is unique and unlike anything on their website, so I invited them to come back when the landscaping is finished to take pictures. Hopefully those will end up on their website. Last year we decided to add a sunroom to our home. We had several companies come out, view the space, and give us their suggestions along with a quote. None of them were as friendly, knowledgable, and professional as Dave from Pacific Builders. We moved forward with the building of the sunroom and have been happy with it since day one. Every meeting with Dave, Jim, and the others on the team was professional. As I work full time, it was wonderful to have Jim leading the project. If I had a question or a concern, I only had to call Jim and he immediately took care of it. Fast forward to a few weeks ago when our landscaper broke the glass in one of the french doors to the sunroom. I text Dave a picture and he called me within about 10 minutes and said "Don't worry, we'll take care of it". By that afternoon, Jim had come out to assess the door and tape it up to make sure no shards of glass would fall out while we waited for a replacement. Pacific Builders worked directly with my landscaper and I didn't have to be involved with the process. I can't say enough about the process or the people involved in the building of our sunroom. We had a patio cover built by Pacific Builders. Their bid came in slightly lower than any of the other companies we got quotes from, but what really sold us was their design. They built a 350 square foot cover with only 3 posts (also attached to house), which for some reason no one else was able to do. Everything turned out exactly how we wanted. The project took a little longer than expected but only because the poor guy who was charged with digging the holes struggled digging through our soil which is half hard pan and half river rock (we're in Anatolia). They've done work for my neighbors as well and we only heard good things. Highly recommended! read more

We would not recommend doing business with this company. Initially, we thought they would be great. The sales person came to our home and spent 3 hours each time, on two separate occasions to discuss our partial bathroom remodel options. In the second meeting with him, we agreed to the cost and the sales rep wrote out a detailed estimate of the work to be done. We were told we had 3 days to cancel if we decided to change our mind. A few days later, we received a call from the owner of the company whom we met when we visited their showroom. He said the sales person had made an error and the job was actually going to cost us an additional $2,200.00! We told him no, that that was too much and not what we agreed to. He apologized and said our check for $1,000 that we had put down, would be forthcoming. A week later, we received a letter from them, but no check. It stated we needed to sign the letter and return it and then we would receive our deposit. This is unprofessional and disappointing nonsense! We did finally receive our check. If a customer has to stay committed to monetary agreement, it seems the business doing the work should be committed to doing the same. We spent over 6 hours with this company for wasted time. Trying to tack on an additional $2,200.00 to a job agreed upon is not a company to deal with! This company is in Sacramento, Ca. read more

Thank god I never got past the rudest customer service rep ever. It started with I wanted a tub surround which their brochure from the home show said they provide. She proceeded to tell me my job was to small for them and the are a builder (Full remodel) and I asked then if they won't provide the service can I buy the product. I already did everything else. THEN SHE BECAME JUST CRAZY! We are a builder do you know what that means verses a supplier. So I said you won't provide me the service and won't sell the product I guess I am not understanding you. It took everything to be pleasant as she was speaking down to me as an idiot. She said do you want me to show you how to google how to find what you need. No thank you! She also said by my look I was wrinkling my pretty forehead and she didn't want that - wow let's keep the discrimination going please. I finally just asked if she could tell me the brand and I"ll be on my way. She played dumb and said Kohler so now you know. I can't explain that I have plenty of money and would have spend it to get what I need if it were not for this 7 year employee who clearly got off on belittling customers. THESE PEOPLE SO NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Wow. My wife and I came across them at a home show in January and liked their price. Its March now and after the salesman came out in February for an estimate, a deadline was made a month later since our new home was hosting a birthday party and we needed the new patio cover as our space. Well they dragged their feet moving forward, when we called we were told it was the rain and they were backed up. No one at the office would return our call, owner Rick also promised to call back and never did. Salesman washed his hands of it after his sale. Jason never would return calls opting for texts to avoid confrontation. We sent in signed and agreed plans for cover only to be told they never recieved it only to find out that they had and lied about it. Then all of a sudden told the cement guy we had been talking to was also busy and Rick was going to send another second rate guy to do the work. Again promised cement guy would call and never did. We were told after waiting 3 weeks that they couldn't make it happen in time. We responded by pushing our birthday party for my 4 yr Old back another week so they could finish the job. Also was told the materials were already at their facility which was not true. After I had to call office again after receiving no call back the owner said we just can't do it. No apology, nothing but laughs from him. Actually blamed his age of 72yrs old as the reason he forgets things. And that the pressure of doing THEIR JOB on time as promised from the beginning was to great. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME!! can't believe this business is still around. My Mom was in the market for a patio cover so I did some calling and found one company that worked in the Sacramento area, well he only worked in the Sacramento area and acted like Woodland was near Fresno, the usual wasted time and frustration trying to schedule him out. We found Pacific Builders in a newspaper ad and called them out, the young salesman (who I believe had a construction degree) showed up on time and was very professional. I am always skeptical about contractors because they usually under perform in multiple areas, but everything went as promised from the drawings and measurements to the install and final inspection. Super frustrated... Ok.... I purchased a deal on Angies List for $59 for a Bathroom Design Consultation with Drawings and Credit toward work if we decided to move forward with them. A rep from Pacific Builders was scheduled to come out on Saturday (5/21) at 10am... he called at 9:36am and said he was having car troubles, so my husband rescheduled with him for our ONLY free night during the week - Tuesday evening @ 6pm. He didn't show up. When I texted him and asked if he was coming, he said my husband scheduled for Wednesday (which wouldn't have happened with our family schedule)... but whatever - things happen right? (Twice in a row?) so - my husband allowed him to reschedule again for Thursday evening... we moved things around - we asked if he could be there at 4... - he asked if he could do 6pm and that he had business in Roseville prior to 6pm... (we live in Roseville)... we asked if he could make it any earlier - and got a message from the rep that says: "I'll do my best to make ti by 5 but what I was trying to convey is that I'll be in Roseville that evening. I can call you as soon as I leave there but with travel time it'll likely be 545 or 6 before I make it" (Again - we live IN Roseville...) So - we cleared our schedule, moved some other appointments around... and he is yet again a no show. As I'm sure you can understand - this speaks VOLUMES about their business.... and it isn't pleasant sound either. At least I discovered they're a flake BEFORE I spend 30k with them! read more

Pacific just finished my master bath remodel and I could not be more happy with the professionalism, quality of work and pricing. After getting a bunch of bids I had a gentleman by the name of Lawrence come to my house to help design a new master bath. The example he shared with me from previous jobs they had worked on made me feel comfortable that I was going with the right company for the job. Ultimately I received a detailed cost breakdown so I knew what I was paying for which helped me and my wife to scale and make changes to the remodel for our needs. The engineer then came out and took measurements and created CAD drawings with detailed notes regarding what products, colors and sizes were to be used on my project. Once construction began the crews were on time and were clean and respected my home. Even though my project was large and complex they dedicated the entire week plus to my job and did not leave it in shambles while they worked on other projects ( I have had that happen before). The final product looks amazing and stunning and the experience far exceeded my expectations. Like a doctor, if you find a good one you keep it. If you need a patio cover and it needs to be coordinated with other contractor's then my advice is to stay away from Pacific Builders. They were to install a patio cover for me that needed to be integrated with a deck design and what a failure this turned out to be. They installed the cover before the deck installation and then I had to pay them to remove it because it would not work with the deck handrail system. Then we had a couple of meetings with both contractor's and discussed what would work but they never followed through with the coordination and I ended up proceeding with the deck installation to avoid more project delays. They did offer to come back out and look at adding the cover after the deck was installed but It would not be an integrated design and look tacked on after the fact. I am out about $2000.00 and have a pile of aluminum that was supposed to be my cover laying on the side of my house. Now I have to pay another contractor to patch the holes left by the removed canopy and dispose of my $2000.00 pile of aluminum. Stay clear is my advice. KR read more

We needed a pergola for our south facing house in Woodland. We had all sorts of ideas and no idea how to go about it. We went out to Pacific Builders one Sunday last year, because we both work and have NO time during the week. We saw all the ideas they had in their showroom and picked out what we liked. Dave came to our house in Woodland and looked at our project, looked at what we liked, gave us excellent advice, set us up with Tomas concrete to do the walkways and the patio, sent out an engineer to do the final measurements. They made some very important changes to our design to help withstand the wind and the rain, built in ideas to handle the drainage, electricity and ventilation. Bottom line is, we have a gorgeous patio, beautiful pergola and with all the rain and wind, it has been very solid, with no drainage problems and no hassle on our part. In fact, we had a gutter problem that they came out to evaluate, they did it very promptly, even though the gutter problem had nothing to do with the installation of the pergola. The pricing was within our budget, and the work was done promptly, without us having to call and nag people to come out and finish their work. I would recommend them highly. We would also counsel people who are not pros to avoid a DIY pergolas, go with these pros, they took all the headaches and stress out of the construction and design and gave us a great addition to our home that withstood the storms and wind that we never thought could be so severe. I purchased 3 awnings and two full patio covers. I love way they look on my home. We had a few corrections, the company stood by their work and corrected them to my satisfaction. They were very professional in working with me on this project. The building inspectors signed off the project with no repairs. Since it is not winter yet, the company reinforced that if I have any problems to be sure and contact them. Since they have been in business for so many years, I feel they will be around for quite some time longer. Longevity means they must be doing something right. They completed the project timely.
