I cannot say enough good things about Dan and his company. About five years ago, he installed a…read morepatio cover for me, and everything was great--until about a year ago when I noticed leaking underneath it. Naturally, I was concerned and reached out to him. He came out right away, took the time to thoroughly inspect everything, and explained in detail why he believed the patio cover itself was not the issue. He checked the slope, sealed areas to rule out seepage, and made sure nothing was being overlooked. A couple of months later, after speaking with several stucco contractors, I was told repeatedly that the patio cover had to be the problem. Feeling confused and overwhelmed, I reached back out to Dan and shared what others were saying. Even though he still believed the issue was coming from somewhere else--possibly the stucco or second-story windows--he didn't hesitate to come back out. This is where Dan truly went above and beyond. Despite not believing he was at fault, he took extra steps to help eliminate any doubt. He installed additional downspouts and full-length counter flashing, which required removing stucco, just to ensure that water could not possibly be getting in from the patio cover. This was not a small job. That level of integrity and customer care is incredibly rare. During the process, once everything was opened up, he was able to clearly show me that the real issue was faulty second-story windows--not the patio cover. He had been right all along. But what stood out the most was his attitude throughout the entire experience. Not once did he make me feel bad for questioning it or listening to other contractors. He remained patient, professional, and genuinely kind the entire time, even when it would have been easy to say "I told you so." At that point, I was feeling extremely overwhelmed between conflicting opinions and high quotes. Dan didn't stop at proving the issue--he continued to help. He guided me in the right direction, recommended the proper solution (including new construction windows instead of retrofit and elastomeric paint for the stucco), and connected me with trusted contacts to completely resolve my issue. Dan is the kind of person you hope to find but rarely do. Honest, knowledgeable, patient, and truly committed to helping his customers--even when he doesn't have to. He went far out of his way for me and my family. I'm incredibly grateful for his time, effort, and integrity. If you're considering working with him, don't hesitate. Not only does he do exceptional quality patio covers but he stands by his work, takes pride in what he does, and treats people the right way. I would recommend him to anyone without a second thought, truly a blessing. Thank you again Dan.

Beautiful patio cover. Unfortunately, the customer service and lack of response to our concerns was…read moreextremely disappointing after installation. We had to send multiple emails, leave numerous voicemails, and practically beg for a return call. The office manager was just awful to deal with. Very unprofessional and condescending with no way to speak to customers. It's not what you say it's how you say it. "We are not going to do that to fix the problem" (after two professionals came and looked at) was given instead of "I'm sorry, our warranty doesn't cover that". And hearing from their repair person this is a common design flaw was not at all comforting. Don't waste your time asking for the owner to call you. You WON'T get a call back. And expect many visits from a repairman to temporarily address the same problems, without actually resolving them, until you eventually just give up trying to get a company to stand behind its product. We chose CW Designs because we wanted to support a small local business, not because we were looking to save money (the other quotes we received was cheaper). Major regrets. We could have saved money and probably ended up with a patio cover better suited for Northern California rain. The cover looks beautiful, but when it rains here in Northern California, the gutters can't keep up, and we end up putting buckets at the corners to catch the water. Apparently, that's our solution. So here we are........Beautiful cover. Can't wait to take out the Eye-sore buckets for the upcoming rainy season and looking forward to emptying the buckets daily ........for the last three years now....... a great conversation piece when guests come over. Terrible customer service. Will not recommend to my worst enemy.

This was a large, complicated project with challenging terrain, a mature tree that had to be preserved, and several unexpected obstacles along the way. He coordinated the crews, communicated consistently, and, most importantly, made me feel like he genuinely had my back. Whenever challenges came up, he stayed committed to finding solutions and making sure I was happy with the final result. That level of customer care is hard to find. They worked incredibly hard, completed the installation beautifully, and even stayed until 9:00 PM one evening to finish the job. Their craftsmanship and work ethic were outstanding. The concrete crew--Gabe, Miguel, and their helpers--also did beautiful work. Not only did they create a fantastic finished product, but they made the experience extra special by helping me place my dog Yuri's paw prints into the fresh concrete. That simple act created a memory I'll treasure every time I walk outside. Despite the difficult site conditions, preserving a beautiful tree, and working through the natural challenges of the property, the team found solutions every step of the way without sacrificing quality or appearance. Today I have a gorgeous new deck and a sunroom that has completely transformed my home. More than that, I know it was built by people who take pride in their work and genuinely care about their customers. Thank you to everyone involved. I highly recommend California Sunrooms and this outstanding team. They didn't just build a sunroom--they created a space I'll enjoy for many years to come.
