Rustic Brick is all about exactly what's in their title - bricks and all things brick related. It may sound like a specialty store, but I actually discovered tons of inspiration when visiting here for the first time. I needed a small order of bricks for a yard project. I was looking for a classic brick in a certain width to use as a border along the edge of a planter bed. Right off the bat, I was greeted and helped by Brian, an outgoing and positive guy who enthusiastically showed me around and quickly helped me locate what I was looking for. They have a large yard attached to their showroom and you can drive in, pick up however many bricks or stones you need and be on your way without a fuss. I was also able to take some time to peruse the showroom. Here they have some wonderful indoor and outdoor fireplace displays, some finer interior decor and a bunch of beautiful tiles that could be used in a ton of projects. I actually called my wife to tell her about the ideas the showroom was giving me. Based on this experience, I'll most certainly be back to try them again. We used Rustic Brick for Saltillo floor tiles. At first they were very nice and knowledgeable about the product as the tiles come from a plant in Mexico. The tiles themselves were of good quality and we paid to have them stained by Rustic Brick before installation, which they sub out. It took months to get the tiles done (holding up our remodel) and the excuse was "it was too hot to stain". It is Sacramento and it is hot in the summer! I think they were behind and used that as an excuse but it was lame. They also referred us to their preferred installer Burt. Burt came out and measured our floor multiple times. Then, he was finally going to start installing the floor on Monday but called the Thursday before to say he couldn't do the job anymore so we had to find someone else - 2 days before he was going to start. So I had to scramble to find someone else - which of course cost me more because I was a month behind on my remodel now and needed to get someone in quickly. Rustic Brick delivered the tiles on Monday and they were short by almost a palate - remember their guy measured multiple times and my wife was told that we should have double checked Burt's order. Really? So, we had to order more tiles, which then Rustic Brick tried to charge us for a second delivery. They did end up delivering the tiles no charge but only after we reminded them of their screw ups and they did stain and deliver the added tiles quickly so it didn't hold us up but overall I was not very impressed with their service. read more

I went to Rustic Brick to purchase some dry stack rocks to wrap some posts. They sold me twice as much as I needed and the material was of very poor quality. Some of the rocks were too big to use. The corners were not cut at a true 45 degree angle and could not be used as corners. I had to spend more on the labor to make it work and Rustic Brick would not take back the excess material. Overall this job cost me twice as much as it should have. I will never return to Rustic Brick. read more

Make a long story short. My gas fireplace was not working properly. My warranty situation was (a little) complicated. Even so, Bryan wanted help me because he cares his customers and his products' quality. Honesty and Integrity are very rare these days. I don't usually give ratings this high but, I shopped for some flagstone at probably 5 different places until someone told me about Rustic. At first I was ready for the usual "here's what we have and these are the prices". The sales person that helped me (Nicholas) had the right answers like how to work within my budget, choosing the right stones for the job, giving me a bit of a discount and being professional. Everyone there was very helpful and very very nice, except for the yard guy, a little grouchy, but the temperature was probably 102 degrees that day so I gave him a pass, I mean loading rock on any day isn't easy.
