Trying to find organic soil is easier said than done and woah do prices vary, but Florin Perkins Landscape Materials really delivered in more ways than one. The service I received was top notch and I never even had to leave my house. They help me pick out the best dirt for what I'm doing and can help suggest plants or care for them as well. I can often find things here that are not in other stores too. My problem is that I will go in for one thing, but end up leaving with 10! Haha. It's a fun problem to have. Most of the plants are outside and wrapped along their building, but there are some more inside along with gardening tools, seeds, etc.. Because they are not a chain store, their prices are a little higher than a Home Depot or Green Acres, but everything seems to be more hand chosen and it feels good to support local. There are a couple parking spots out front, but may be a little challenging to get back onto Folsom Blvd because it's at a busy intersection. I like to park on the side street where there is plenty of parking available.

When we arrived I walked around a bit to check out what they had to offer-what was in season and wondering where the cactus plants were. I liked this little sign they had in the middle of their nursery which advised everyone what was in season and what should be planted at this time of year-for a newbie green thumb person like myself-information like that is very helpful. After walking around a bit I decided on the cutest little cactus to add to my collection at home and it cost me $7.99,so cheap and my daughter decided to get a snow peas plant($7.49). The staff is friendly and helpful and there's even sometimes a cute and friendly cat that's wondering around to greet guests. So instead of making up for the low quality plants they threatened to close my landscaping account. Talk about a power trip and awful customer service. God knows who is right and the facts are know by him. Matsuda's evil intent is evident. I just asked them to replace $20 worth of bad plants. They went all out murderous and vindictive for it. We were able to find a June plum for a great price. Hoping to come back when they have wax jambu in stock. Overall, the plants that were available look healthy and thriving. The June plum we picked out has flowers and some fruits are starting to develop. It took us some time to flag someone down for help but when we did, owner was helpful and very cheerful. Don't let that one factor deter you, this place is a gem and they have a lot of different selection that we couldn't find anywhere else in the area.
