Love this place... They have so much to choose from and it is worth the drive. Anna was very helpful in helping me pick out some rock for my rock garden. The prices here are very good and the variety of every kind of rock is awesome. Bring a hat and a bottled water this place is huge. Bought 2 pallets of flagstone. Driver delivered when no one was at the residence. We have a automatic gate and the driver called me 3 times but I was working. I finally called him back and he said he couldn't find the keypad but no worries he got in by messing with the control box but he delivered and told me my gate wouldn't close all the way after he delivered it. I didn't think much of it till I showed up and the bracket the opener is on was bent way way out of alignment. I called them and said their driver had to of done something to our gate and that he told me he messed with the control box but the driver denied everything he told me on the phone earlier. The owner was out of town but she called me the same day, still out town, and that she believed her driver 100%. No one would come out and see the damage or offer me anything. I was shocked, all I really need is a new bracket, wouldn't cost that much to buy. But I was told I was on my own. That's not how you run a business. read more

We needed rock for a raised wall around our pool. I had a few questions before driving out there so I decided to call. The owner, Anna, actually answered the phone! She was so interested in my project, from colors, to plants, from style to vision. After talking with her for a bit, she told me I could come and she would help me select a stone that would be perfect! My two children and I showed up a couple days later. She was working in the yard, but greeted me warmly and said she'd take a look at my samples from home to help guide me through decisions. Anna took my pool tile and a sample of my concrete color to pull as many choices as I wanted. We walked around searching and comparing, holding up rock to my materials. When we found the materials I liked, Anna recorded the necessary info and gave me a copy for my records. She was so sweet...she said my children were well behaved and asked if they could go into the office for a little treat! The kids LOVED the rock yard! So a couple days later, the pool guys showed up with the rocks! I didn't have to do anything to get it ordered or delivered. Anna took care of all that and it was at my home in under 48 hours! AMAZING! I called Anna and asked if there's a way I can share a photo of the installed materials. She continued to give me ideas and talked me through her vision! She is the sweetest! I will not go anywhere else to get materials for our fire pit and columns for our patio cover. My wife and I recently stopped by to just look around and gather ideas and fortunately ran into the owner, Anna. She is an absolute wealth of knowledge when it comes to stone landscaping! For the next following two days, I called Mid Valley to place an order. On both days, they said that they would call me back in twenty minutes. I never received a call back. I ended calling a competitor and made the phone order in less than ten minutes. The bottom line is don't waste you time at this place... unless you want your time wasted. read more

We drove out here and picked out some big rocks the day before Thanksgiving. They have a lot to select from. On Saturday morning they called and said they were ready to deliver. They showed up with a crane/boom and placed the rocks exactly where we wanted them in our front yard. The boom operator was very skilled and placed the rocks without damaging our large tree or house. We showed up at Mid Valley Rock right before closing on a Saturday, not realizing we needed an appointment. Our pool company had sent us to choose flagstone for our coping and we thought we would just show up, look at some stones, cross our fingers, and choose one blindly. Anna was AMAZING. Despite not having an appointment, she sat down with us and gave us her undivided attention. She asked us to draw a layout of our yard and our pool. She looked through pictures of our yard, considered the color of our house, our patio pavers, the tile in our pool, and the stones around our nearby fire pit, before recommending a stone for our pool coping. Needless to say, I was impressed with her attention to detail and her expertise. She really knows her stuff and she's SO KIND! And the finished product is beautiful. I have been to many, possibly all, of the rock yards located in the Bay Area where we live, but have found myself again and again purchasing from Ana at Mid-Valley Rock in Sacramento. Over the course of several years, I have purchased stone pool coping, flagstone for pool decking, patio, and walkway as well as ledge stone for small rock walls and large walkway slabs. I have come to trust her completely, enough so that most of my purchases have been made over the phone. Orders have been delivered promptly and honestly quite reasonably and the quality has been incomparable to what I have seen elsewhere. My contractors agree and have noted how rare it is to work with someone in the business so client-oriented and knowledgeable. It has not been until recently that I made the trek to her rock yard to select a small number of ledge stones. Although my order was tiny this time, she actually took the time to hand select each and every rock and was able to advise as to what may be needed given the dimensions of my project.
