In 2016,2017,and 2018 I had so many bad experiences (long waits,wrong orders, multiple overcooked dry inedible pizzas, and getting charged for extra cheese that I never received multiple times) that it made me abandon them even though they're my childhood favorite pizza. I recently drove by with a friend who's never been and he asked about them. I have ALWAYS loved their salads with their amazing homemade Italian dressing, cheese, and pepperoni. I was feeling nostalgic and he wanted to try so I decided to give them one last chance after texting my cousin who said that they've been better since covid. I'm so glad I did! I've been coming to Pace's for 35 years. My mom has been a customer since the 1950s-60s, when her sister worked for Mr. Pace. The current owners are committed to maintaining the same level of quality, the light, crispy crust I remember. I really enjoy the short but yummy selection of wines. I notice that many customers get wine, but there are also beer options available. The pizza is always light and wonderful, a very consistent product. Delicious!!! It was busy on a Sunday evening but we were sat quickly. My husband enjoys their house salad. And the pizza is so good! The crust is perfect and the flavor of the sauce is just right! On our yearly road trip from Wisconsin to Maine we have chosen Jamestown New York as our night number one. We have fallen in love with this very quirky town. Kind folks, struggling folks all reside in this unique western New York town known for the birthplace of Lucille Ball. We were lucky enough to have restaurants years ago before pandemic, and now a pizzeria joint has survived and flourished in Jamestown. Pace's Pizza cares about family, beautiful food, affordable food, and kindness. What a wonderful spot to pull into at 8:15 PM on a weekday and join a joyful restaurant. We split the large pepperoni, mushroom and green pepper pizza. The crust was thin. The sauce was pure Italian. The mozzarella cheese was the most flavorful of my life. We loved it. Another hometown favorite on our Lakewood list. My family quietly ate two large pepperoni pizzas as fast as they can deliver them to our table. When it cone to my family eating, a quiet table means the food is great lol. This is authentic Italian American style and flavoring pizza. My fav was that it was thin crust super easy to eat. Very family friendly of course and yay they have a wine selection. You have a choice of eating inside or the newly added outside patio area for dining. Parking is a little limited but since it doesn't get crowed parking wont be much of an issue. They are quick here, service was and friendly. I came up to vacation at lake Chautauqua, and my parents and I were wanting local pizza. Being an intense researcher, I was looking for a place that did thinner crust pizza. Am very happy that we picked Pace's. We got a large pizza with green peppers and onions. It's served tavern style, with square pieces. Great sauce and cheese ratio. Crust was crispy enough. Pace's pizzeria, well I just tried this place and I really don't think it's good. Their garlic bread is...ok, staff are nice, it's a little small for how many tables it has, very greasy, salads are very soggish with Italian dressing but tastes somewhat good...I guess, and the pizza is very greasy and oily and I don't think it really tastes that good. It's got nice music, dim light, their tables aren't very clean, they've got lots of crumbs on them but nice table cloths. The bathroom doors don't shut properly with bothered me a little. Meh...went there tonight. Apparently reservations are standard? We were grudgingly sat at a table for the 4 of us practically on top of a nice older couple. It felt like our party of 4 became a party of 6. The place is so packed and tight that the waitress can't get around to do her job. While you sit and wait for your pizza, you can either shake hands with your neighbor or stare awkwardly at something. The pizza was....pizza. When you try to get it off the serving stand, all of the toppings slide off and you are left with a saucy piece of thin crust. Our family all thought it was really tomato and basil heavy. I cannot duplicate this pizza crust at home. I have been going to Pace's since I was 16 years old (over 20 years) and it is MY favorite pizza and it is cooked to perfection every time. The owner is great (the staff varies in friendliness), the decor comfortable and the pizza terrific. Worst part it that I haven't lived in that area in 10 years or more, but everytime I go back, I stop there. Now, I know very few people there and my family has left neighboring Warren, PA. Had a white pizza there that we really enjoyed. We ordered a medium saying to ourselves that we'd take some back to the hotel with us for the next day but ended up eating all of it. This place is very small and you have little room to walk to your table here. They put up giant mirrors to make it seem bigger but they can't fool me that easy. The salads are as basic as you can get and the pizza comes out extremely hot. Like burn the hell out of your mouth hot after all of the toppings slide off because they don't know how to make pizza.
