    Sunny San Diego Burrito
    Sammy W.

I would highly recommend this place if you have a craving for some Mexican food while in Ireland! I got the Sunny San Diego burrito (comes with chicken, beans, rice, and salsa; I ordered it with sour cream and without the beans & salsa) and it was really good! My friend got the vegan burrito and she said she really enjoyed it and was happy there was tofu in it instead of just beans and veggies! Also, you can get a burrito and a beer for €10.99! Definitely will be coming back to this place!

Pablo's is the gold standard in Dublin. They have 7 salsa options, and they get very spicy if you like that. Not me though, I'm a salsa verde man! Most places in Dublin let you pick your own fillings, but Pablo's gives you a choice of burritos. This means you don't have to worry about whether pinto beans or black beans go better with your shredded pork. Their options are very tasty, which is great. I wish they served milk though, they're serving very spicy options, and there's never any solution to the problem... I've yet to notice any difference in quality between temple bar Pablo and baggot street Pablo, so give either a go, they're both great!

I visited Pablo's recently as part of Yelp's Burrito Blow Out. I have been to the various Pablo's a few times over the years and have found that the service and standard vary a little so I haven't been to one in a while. Also, personally I just prefer a different type of burrito, with more salad, sour cream and garlic. I visited with two friends, we were in Temple Bar one evening and Pablo's is perfectly located. Pablo's always seems to be busy and doesn't have much seating but luckily this evening although we had to queue everyone was getting a takeaway. My two friends got served before me and as I got my Yelp Burrito Passport stamped I believe the service improved just a little bit. Woo, perks of being a Yelper! The service wasn't bad before but my friend had asked for tap water and was told they didn't have any but when I asked they offered to fill a large ramekin with some. It could also have been my feminine charm that did it. I ordered the veggie burrito which comes with salsa, vegetables cooked with rosemary, guacamole and feta cheese all wrapped up in a herb tortilla. It was ok but I'm not sure rosemary goes with the other flavours. My friends however loved theirs, they both got meaty ones with extra sour cream ( I can't remember which ones). They raved about them and couldn't believe they'd never come to Pablo's before as it is so central. The service continued to be excellent throughout our meal, we were asked if we wanted more water and my friend also got some. If I return I'll try a meaty burrito with extra sour cream and guacamole, they look the tastiest. Oh and I loved the patterned table cloths.

I have been to this location three times so far, and the service has always been very friendly and fairly fast, even though they seem to be perpetually busy. Pablo's is home to what may be my favorite burrito anywhere, US and UK included: the beefy barbacoa. I was really amazed at how stuffed it was with tender, very flavorful beef. The only thing that keeps me from giving them five stars is their tortilla chips, which taste like they came from a Tesco bag. I was hoping for something a bit fresher, but no big deal, the chips are still decent, and I'm there for the burrito. I'll be back this weekend :)

    Burrito in its foil jacket!

I like Pablo Picante. Its a pretty decent alternative to one of the many chained fast food joints which overrun this lovely city of ours. The music is usually good here too. The man who brought me my burrito called me 'Hombre'. This made me feel like a real man. The kind who carries a smith and wesson, wears a stetson like Paul Newman and shoots baddies or makes pasta sauce - whatever Paul is doing with himself nowadays up beyond the pearly gates. Any budding cowboys or gun slingers take note - don't have your rifle (or sportsbag) hanging off your back if you go to use the John. You would'nt be able to swing a cat in there. But who brings their cat for a burrito eh? The soft tortilla wrap was packed tighter than a wallet on a miserable tinder date. It is a delight to eat when you swipe the foil right off. I went for the Burrito with Steak, and I thought it was pretty nice - adorned with smokey salsa it was'nt the kind of meal that would have you calling for the fire brigade to squash the flames in your gullett - which is just fine by me! They do a student deal here for €6.50, which involves a burrito of your choice and a can of softdrink or a bottle of water. I want to try their Paleo Box from their menu some time. The bright table cloths are a nice touch aswell, a little bit of colour never hurt anyone. Even the most hardened of Gringo!

The Pablo in question is a fictitious character, an ex luchador, created to be the brand ambassador for Ireland's first real burrito outlet. Their range is quite large. The Smokie and Super Picante are my favourites. Last visit I had the chicken. It was OK. I've noticed that the quality of the sauces vary from day to day. The inconsistency is beginning to turn me off. On the up side the staff are always nice!

With my boyfriend we had a big desire to eat burritos, so we tried those from Pablo picante. First we took the cheesy quesadilla with guacamole, just Devine! And for the burritos we took both the sonny San Diego. I was disappointed about the texture of the chicken and the rice was for me too much cooked. But instead, my boyfriend said that was his best burritos, and he is still dreaming about their burritos. So you have to try!

sexy burrito with sexy water = sexy meal!

I love it! Pricing is fair, Seating area can be a bit crowded at times but its just because of the size of the place. Defo recommended.

Even the font on the menu looks the same. Now, given that Chipotle isn't available in Dublin and good Mexican food is tough to come by (save Cafe Azteca), that's not at all a bad thing. This place is open late (11pm weekdays; midnight Fri-Sat), reasonably priced, and oh-so delicious! Order at the counter: pick the style, meat, and extras you want. It will be prepared right in front of you and then off you go with a little bundle of deliciousness. I had brown rice, black beans, and barbacoa and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The service is great and friendly as well...really nice feel here. They had a 2-for-1 promotion running and allowed me to partake even though I hadn't printed out the voucher (environmentalism for the win!). To top it off, they have Cholula hot sauce available (where oh where can you find this in Dublin?). And if your appetite for American knockoffs is still running strong, grab dessert at Eddie Rocket's across the street -- we did!

So, I decided to give it a shot on Friday as I wanted something a little different. I'm allergic to hot sauce so I went for a medium heat veggie burrito and it was good! Quite big portion. The staff aren't the smiley, happy people I would expect working at a restaurant like this but I'm gonna say that they were maybe having a bad day? Maybe it was the weather? Who knows. There's not much customer seating available so I had to take mine to go. Probably best, though, it's a messy aul thing to chow down on and sitting beside some randoms while I try to graciously gobble this down wouldn't have been my idea of fun! When I finally got around to eating it, I was very happy with it. It was huge, very tasty and filling. If the staff were a little more friendly and there was more seating, this experience could have gotten a 5*!

They don't have any maize flour tortilla, so, a bit disappointed, I took the burrito box. It felt at first like a punition to me, since the last one I had at pablo picante was disgusting and I really did not wanted to live that again. But I decided to give it a try, maybe this one would be better ? I took one with marinated chicken, cilantro and lime rice, kidney beans, and avocado ("verde") sauce, when it came, the box was looking a bit small and they were a thick green sauce covering all of it. But as soon as I tried I was very pleased by its taste. The green sauce was really good and not sickly at all. The meat was great and actually it was very very good. An awesome surprise, it really reconciled me with burritos ! If I had only one critical to do, it would be that I would have add a bit of cilantro and lime to my rice. Besides that, the staff was nice, the place is really cool and the music is good too.

I love their take on burritos, the roasted sweet potato is such a nice addition and sets it apart from a lot of other burrito places. Their Guacamole is amazing, super fresh with chunks of avocado and lots of flavor. Their nachos are also nice, lots of melted Jack cheese and toppings. Ordering on Deliveroo is a bit annoying, though. Wish there were a break down of ingredients so you could easily choose what you want and don't want, instead you have to pick from a very long list of various combinations. I think they could organize the menu on the site a bit better, and Deliveroo should have an option to include notes for the restaurant. We always have to call after we order to specify some changes, but they are always very quick to answer and happy to do it, and the order always arrives perfect!
