You stand in a line order a bowl, wrap, etc. and tell the staff what you want on it. They have a lot of vegan options to custom make your own burrito. Nothing like the sofritas at chipotle though. Anyways, it was super tasty and loaded with flavor. The burritos are large in size and this place is definitely a hot spot, it was super busy! Check out my picture below to see the size. I just wish they used paper to wrap the burritos instead of foil. The reasoning for this is that if the foil gets stuck when you are eating the burrito, it's not pleasant to feel that in your mouth, where as the paper is slightly better. And this is why I love Yelp. After my stinging review the owner of Boojum sent me a direct message which business owners can do once they claim their business listing. He had no idea that I'm the community manager and he wrote a long apologetic e-mail. I was so surprised and the fact that he cared that much to reach out to a customer spoke volumes to me. I told him that people have bad days and that's just natural. He said that he would not accept that as an excuse and again extended his apology and how much customer service means to them. So on Friday I decided to return there for lunch alone. I also decided to eat in so that I could observe the service to the busy lunch crowd. Service was welcoming and the girl that I complained about that last time was very attentive (I'm not very recognisable so in case you think that's the case, not that I wear a burka, but I do have a fondness for an ugly hat). Every person that walked through that door for the 40 minutes I was there got the same treatment. There was great banter amongst the staff too which shows it wasn't contrived. I got the beef fajita burrito, very tasty if not a little embarrassing to eat (dangling cow flesh from your mouth is not the hottest of looks). This is my favourite go to when I'm in work dinner time treat!! I always get the chicken fajita bowl with spicy rice, tomato salsa, guacamole, sour cream, cheese and lettuce!! Let's start with the actual restaurant! The staff made even me, feel at home in the hipster vibe. And that indie music playing in the background is perfect! I got a burrito bowl to take away. I am a huge burrito fan & was a big advocate of one restaurant in particular, until Boojum came into my life. Where do I begin... The choices first of all are just unbelievable - 2 different kinds of rice, cooked or raw veggies (or both) so many different kinds of meat & add one extra to your meal for a very small fee (I think about €2), then decide do you want a burrito, a bowl, a taco, so many other options too, but I'm a sucker always go for the bowl... The food is just so fresh & flavoursome I always end up overeating because I just cannot stop myself from finishing everything on the plate! Absolutely delicious. Along with this they do keep some beer in the fridge but I would encourage the Mexican soft drinks they keep in store (Jarritos I believe is the brand), mango, lime or mandarin flavour are the ones I've seen so far, I've tried each & they're all delicious!! My only complaint about this place is that they close a little early, sometimes you want a burrito at 7pm on a Sunday! If you're looking for a review for Boojum you could just type "chipotle yelp" into Google. Boojum has totally ripped off the menu and ordering style (which, I suppose is okay if you like Chipolte - a burrito chain in the US and abroad with 1430 locations.) Someone said the burritos here are great, and that it reminds them of San Francisco. It does remind me of San Francisco: it reminds me of how much I miss eating real burritos in San Francisco. I think the poster must have been referring to one of the aforementioned Chipolte locations in the Bay Area, as Boojum does not resemble a mission tacqueria in any fashion, and you would probably pay dearly in certain neighborhoods for making the comparison if anyone thought you knew what you were talking about. Are you looking for a real burrito? Do you give a shit about burritos - or do you just want a bunch of ingredients thrown haphazardly into a tortilla and sort of rolled or massaged together until it roughly takes on a cylindrical shape? At Boojum, you get the latter. The ingredients are okay, and the end result is cheap and filling. But a real burrito is a work of art - ingredients should be carefully distributed, and the tortilla should be easily and masterfully rolled by someone who has probably done the same many thousands of times. I was handed a pamphlet on the way to work announcing the lunch deal of a main and a bottle of water for €7 so was very interested in checking it out that lunchtime. Found the place easily and was greeted with a smile on entering. The set up is very nice, bright and clean and the staff nice and helpful. The process is very simple, order the meal type, the meat/veg you want, the sauces/salsa, and any sides you may want. The food looks nice and fresh and tastes great. A friend told me once going to Boojum for a date is not a good idea, cos there is no flirty nor charming way to eat a burrito or the other fresh and tasty Mexican food choices they offer... If you really wanna enjoy it you need to dig in with passion and all your fingers and don't care that two seconds later you are covered in cheese or the juicy guacamole ;) They do a great student offer for 6 euro you get a burrito or the salad which I mostly take cos on the veggie option you have guacamole included and a free soft drink. The service always been really friendly and I had never problems with my little extras request as a mix of the two salsa and the beans instead just going for one option... I was starving my face off after a hard gym workout and when my gym buddy suggested Boojum, my tummy actually rumbled in agreement. Went here again with a friend this time and we weren't hungry enough for the burritos so we decided to split three chicken tacos and a bowl of nachos with the works. The nachos were your average chips drenched in salad cream. No sign of the 'melted cheese' as promised on their menu board, went back to ask for some and was told 'sorry but our board lies, we have no way of doing melted cheese on our nachos' so we asked for some tomato salsa instead. It basically tastes like a bland nacho-salad. (To taste real nachos go to the Market bar, or even the Tesco-kit DIY nachos are better!) Boojum, what's there to add that's not already been said on Yelp? Boojum is good. Boojum is tasty. Boojum will give you casual spot to hang in with friends and chat about last night's shenanigans. Boojum will save you from the brink of *any* hangover. Boojum will wash anyway any shame from the night previous. Boojum will make you feel human again. I wish there were more than one Boojum in Dublin, but I suppose it makes it even more worth it when you go there if there's only one - bit of a destination. The staff are friendly and close-to-intimidatingly cool. I've never had a bad meal there and there's a student deal too! Tip: If you like your food moderately spicy like me but not crazy off-the-wall-so-spicy-you-can't-feel-your-face, be brave and try the 'Hot Salsa', it's worth it. I was a 'Medium Salsa' man for months before taking the leap, but I did it, and I'm never looking back. Boojum is definitely the best burrito spot in town, a favourite of mine. read more

From the burritos and the beers to the staff and the prices this place is great. Nothing (NOTHING) satisfies your hunger like a trip to Boojum. Their burritos are massive - honestly they're the size of a medium-sized baby wrapped in a tortilla - and the fillings are fresh and full of flavour. The quality of the meat seems especially good (burrito joints often neglect good meat as they think nobody will be able to tell once it goes into the mix) and it has never been dry or tough whether I've gone for pork, chicken, or beef. They're only a fiver with a student card too. Great choice of beers at sensible prices (all under 4 quid) - from your standard Sol/Corona to your high quality American craft beers from Brooklyn, Sierra Nevada, and Anchor. It was a muy bueno Cino de Mayo (you've seen the pictures) and while I missed out on the CMYE rendezvous, Boojum stepped up and supplied a burrito that was perfect in a pinch. My veggie version was packed with lime-infused black beans, fluffy rice and a guac / salsa combo that was smoky, fresh and delish with Corona. But is that all it takes to make an bueno burrito experience? The menu prices were a little higher than Pablo's - a vegetarian Boojum burrito rings up at 6.45, whereas the lunching luchador charges about 5.75 to go meatless. And the flavours were less adventurous than Taco Taco just a short walk away (or should I just accept that my face will never be melted off by Dublin salsa?). If it's fast street food you're after when price isn't an issue, Boojum makes a great alternative to the sambo culture in the City Centre. Stopped in here the other day on one of The Fair City's rare but lovely warm summer afternoons and had a great burrito and a Corona with lime (got it, L-I-M-E...not LEMON) while sitting outside. I had a steak burrito with the works, including the salsa rojo. However , this isn't Mexican food, this is burritos, and decent burritos at that. If you want a foil wrapped parcel of tasty goodness (Can you feel it? Sitting there in you hands all shiny and warm and full of promise) then Boojum is for you. Read about this place here on Yelp and had to try it out as part of my never-ending quest to try all the good spicy stuff in Dublin and I have to say, I loved it. The staff were extra friendly when I ordered my shredded beef burrito with salsa roja, guac and jalepenos and, get this....the burrito was MASSIVE!! Just what the doctor ordered. Despite its size, it didn't take long to wolf down my meal with a couple of dashes of different things from the minibar of hot sauces on each table (beware of Habanero sauce...hot hot), washed down with a bottle of Sol. It cost me about €12 euro for a satisfying bit of grub and a bottle of beer, I enjoyed it all and I will DEFFO be back. One word for Boojum..SAVAGE! You can get good burritos here for fairly cheap prices. I'd view Boojum's as the safe option, you know what you're getting and it'll always be tasty. It's nice that I can get my food as I like it, though it can end up in the some awful mixtures (purely the customers fault) On the negative side of things: I dislike their loyalty cards, I always thought that the standard for a loyalty card is that you get your 10th cup/bite/book free. but on Boojum, it's buy 10 and get the next free, i.e. the 11th free, that's 10% less often! I also don't think much of their guac though, it's fairly humdrum, they could do better if they're charging 75c extra for it. read more
