I ordered dumplings as an appetizer with my meal tonight they were raw on the inside completely pink. meat also not chewable. That is so callous and dangerous. I came home became sick through up my meal we paid $135 for and called they insisted my pink pork was nit raw because it was in a steamed dumpling that is seared on the side! I was told the pork was suppose to be cooked before they roll it into the dumpling dough clearly it wasn't. Called to let management know I became sick she dismissed me told me someone would call check on me in the morning and insisted my pink pork was not raw. Like it wasnt steak? It was scrambled pork! It's not ok to be pink and raw! To cover her and her staff I suppose. The waiter knew it reported it to management she was fully aware when I placed my call after hours about happened. Management answered called my server by name so she already had been informed about it. However to me insisted they didn't serve raw pork. How callous to dismiss someone's serious concern. I'm reporting this to the department of health services because my children could have eaten this and fallen terrible ill. I pray my husband and I are ok. The waiter was pleasant u still gave a $20 tip my meal should have been comped after that. I knew this was not the first time I googled raw P.F. Chang's dumpling and sure enough another review and it looked exactly like mine this process they use to cook these dumplings either is not being followed or they need to revise it! I hope management is able to use some of this feedback for improvement...I haven't been to a PF Chang's in probably 5 years, and it was not at all like I remembered. We came for dinner service with a reservation and only waited about 10 min for a table. Walking back to it, there were several unbussed tables and a ton of empty tables, with several parties waiting out front. We ordered a bowl of egg drop soup, the Mongolian beef, and the Dynamite Shrimp roll. The first egg drop soup bowl smelled and tasted overwhelmingly burnt, so we asked for another bowl. The next one came and was not as burnt tasting but it had goopy bits, ranging from small to large, floating around like clear jelly in it. It tasted okay but was super thick and goopy. The crunchies did not seem very fresh. The Mongolian beef was delicious. The shrimp roll seemed good. Fortune cookies were stale. Service was okay, we could tell one male server near us was really good. The women's restroom smelled overwhelmingly like urine and the floor was dirty dirty dirty. The music was way too loud to have meaningful conversation. There's potential here but the dining experience needs to be much improved, restrooms deep cleaned, and soup staff better trained. I finally had a bad meal at the Chang. My Kung Pao Chicken tasted like it had been made hours ago - tough, chewy, and cold. My Wife told me to send it back, but I decided not to (something has to be inedible before I send it back). We have been fans of Chang's since they first opened 20 years ago. But, tue last three meals we've ate have been below average or worse. We haven't been back since. Additionally, I find the music with thumping bass annoying. "Boom", "Boom, "Boom, over and over. But, if the food was up to the quality I've enjoyed for many years, I could learn to ignore the music. But, when the food and the music are both bad, it's hard to ignore. read more

It's a chain. I get it. Haven't been to this particular location post COVID. Went off hours - around 1 pm. Sat at the bar hoping to get prompt service and a good meal. Very sloooooooooow service and it wasn't that busy. If I wasn't starving, I'd have left and gone somewhere else. The chicken dish was overcooked/slightly burnt. I'll give this place another try but it's not up to the standards of other PFCs I've been to in Georgia and Florida. The to go service at the restaurant is the worst I've ever seen. They always have the employee working alone with a line at least 5 people deep. It's ridiculous to wait 20 minutes JUST to speak to an employee. They are always in the kitchen and when you ask a hostess you get unfriendly comments. Get your staff some friendly help!!!!! This experience had to have been one of the worst dining experiences ever! When we first walked into the foyer of the restaurant, the carpet had the a very spoiled sour/smell. I immediately wanted to leave but my family wanted to stay. We ordered our appetizers, the soup came out at a reasonable amount of time. The filet mignon wontons came out incorrectly. The waiter knew they were prepared incorrectly and immediately took them back and apologized for the error. Time went by and we had no food!! Eventually, our kids food came out and my husband's sushi. The food was awful!! I have never seen such mushy overcooked rice for sushi in my life. My husband ate a few and was ready to go. Our entree's and wontons still had not arrived. I was able to get the managers attention and asked if we could get our check. She offered her apologies and gave us some gift cards. Our entree came out and I by this time I really just wanted to leave. We grazed over the food... again, not tasty, flavorful, or worth the wait. As we're preparing to wrap things up, the appetizer arrived. The waiter tried to save the night by lighting the fire for the presentation of the appetizer, but the experience was already ruined. I wish I could say we were the only one experiencing this awful dining experience, but a customer literally walked towards the kitchen entrance and let the manager have an earful. I'm partial, as I've never had a substellar experience at PFC. A little advice - make a reservation, especially if you're going on date nights. Seriously, the wait can be cray-cray if you're going as a walk-in on a date night. We had a 7:15 reservation (Friday night); we were seated at 7:18. The atmosphere is busy, loud-ish and up-tempo. We had the tempura veggies and calamari appetitizer. The veggies are green and red bell peppers and that's all. This dish is heavy. Good but heavy - definitely worth trying once. I had the mandarin salad with chicken. Hunny had the salmon. Both of us had the wonton soup. All of these dishes were delightful! Our server Brett was a gem, as well. Thumbs up, David! read more

This was my first time coming here in at least 10 years! I think last time I came here was before my high school prom? We had reservations and we were seated within 5 minutes of getting there. There were good and bad things about our dinner there. The lettuce wraps, signature drinks, Brussels sprouts, and our entrees were great. My dad thought his egg drop soup was watered down and was comped. My mom's wine glass was dirty so they brought her another order and glass of wine. I placed a to go order online and it said my order would be ready at 6:12 and it wasn't ready until 7pm. All I ordered was fried rice and some of those crispy green beans which I feel like doesn't take very long to make. the rice was good, the green beans were mediocr. After waiting 40+ minutes for our food ahead of the house, and came to our table to apologize for the inconvenience in which our food was supposedly not up to par by chef standards. I called bull crap on that one, and instead of offering us some type of incentive like a free appetizer, or maybe a percentage off on our food for waiting for so long he instead just said that he'll reassure us that he'll bring our food nice and hot that's it. Service is very lax here very few servers with very large tables, and whoever other head of house is clearly does not know how to manage a large team. The worst experience maybe I've ever had with to-go. My son and his homecoming date asked for P.F. Chang's. I ordered online with a 630p pickup time. I finally had to ask for a refund at 730p. The place was a disaster. The manager was not really rude but not super interested either. Urgency in the kitchen was definitely lacking for how busy it was. I ate here for a work party recently and had just an ok experience here. We had a party of about 10 people, and we sat in the far back of the restaurant. The restaurant itself is set up very nicely! The light fixtures are very cool and the tables and floors were nice. There is also a patio in the back that provides a nice view of the area. Our table ordered a few appetizers, such as the scallops and fried greens. I did not try to the scallops; however, I was told that they were good. I did try the fried greens and thought that the taste was just okay. There was more left to be desired from the taste. My main course was the chicken fried rice. It was just okay and lacked taste that wasn't present until salt was added. Granted, they gave me a lot of rice and the food tasted better the next day for lunch. My wife had the sesame chicken and fried rice. She thought it was just decent; not her favorite. All in all, try it at your own risk. I'll admit: P.F. Chang's fell off my radar a while back. I just haven't been frequenting chain restaurants lately and have, understandably, become one of those Birmingham food snobs. But when a friend suggested an early dinner there yesterday, I acquiesced...and boy was I pleasantly surprised! An optional, GLUTEN-FREE menu. Yaaay! The GF menu offered options for each course, including dessert. I did not feel deprived at all. I'm glad more restaurants are getting with the times! I had chicken lettuce wraps (yum and happy hour price:) and chicken-shrimp fried rice (double-yum). Both were served with a GF sauce on the side. And because it was still happy hour (ends at 6pm) I was able to enjoy discounted sangria;) Service was excellent. In Birmingham, there are a plethora of places you can get a mind-blowing meal for around $20, so if I am going to pay close to $50 for a meal, I want it to be pretty A-ok. Sadly, my most recent meal at P.F. Chang's was not very good. My friend and I sat at the bar on a Saturday evening. To begin with, our bartender was one of the least-charming individuals I have every had the displeasure to be served by. He barely tried to hide that he was on his phone and drinking a Diet Coke behind the bar. He avoided eye contact and never smiled. We always had to flag him down for every stage of our order. The only nice thing he did for us is put our takeout boxes in bags when our meal was through. Not to be mean, but I'm hoping he was just having a bad day and isn't usually like this. Now, onto the food. I really did enjoy the cocktail I tried, the Blushing Geisha, which was made from grapefruit vodka, blood orange puree, lemon juice, and chia seeds. I got the Crispy Avocado Spring Rolls for a starter. They were all right. I should have known by the description that they would just be too greasy and rich without balance, but when I see the word "avocado," I lose my mind a little bit. I got Kung Pao Chicken for my main course, which was also lackluster, but nothing was really wrong with it. My friend got the Crispy Green Bean appetizer, and while they themselves were not burnt, they definitely savored of burnt grease, as if some other fried item had been overcooked in the grease beforehand. Yuck. I'm not going to say that I'll never go back to PF Chang's, because I have had previous positive experiences there. I think I would be better off if I stuck to the lighter menu items in the future, as the heavier ones I have tried had no acid to mitigate the grease. read more

Okay first and foremost - GET THEIR LETTUCE WRAPS! It is def the one thing I always get when I go and it is absolutely delicious! I will say I usually end up already filled up after eating this though so maybe ideal if you need something light to eat (I get full easy) or when there's a lot of people to actually split it up and not be full on the appetizer. I've tried several of their dishes. I like spicy foods but found that some of their spicier dishes were a little too much heat for me so be sure to ask your server the heat level on those. lol One thing is consistent amongst the different dishes and it's the quality and taste of the food. It's not your typical Chinese takeout! One downside to eating here (and the reason for 1 less star) is that you may spend a pretty penny or two. I usually eat here once in a blue moon but if you got plenty of expendable income then it shouldn't be a problem. It's in the pricier end once all is said and done. If you're planning to do appetizers, entree, drinks, and if possible, desert, you're gonna throw down some $$$. I'm usually too full by the time they ask if I want desert and need to-go boxes to wrap up what's left. They give plentiful portions. Also consider that I'm a 5'2 petite female so it doesn't take much to make me full. My boyfriend got the beef and broccoli with fried rice and was able to basically finish his plate. You have to also consider he is 6'2 and built like a lumber jack so he can eat a bit more than me. Sidenote: I just found out that I can order from them and have it delivered by Postmates. WOW! We came to enjoy my sisters birthday with the whole family, and everything about the night was perfect. For starters, we sat down at our table, and greeted by the manager "Ken", and a lady who was being trained "Maddie", which both served us the entire time. We brought in our own cake for the party, and the manager asked if he could gladly take our cake to put in the back to get it out of our way while we ate, which was rare and super nice. Once it came time to order, they were VERY understanding about mine and my moms Gluten free and Vegetarian needs and request. They were sure to let us know every detail about our orders, and we're sure not make us feel like the aliens at the table because we had special requests, which was very nice. It look a good 25-30 minutes for our food to arrive, which was okay being it was a pretty busy Thursday night and we had a 10 person party. The food arrived hot and fresh, and everything just as we ordered. Once we finished our meals, the manager brought out our cake, and even brought some candles and lit them for my sister, and they brought her a mini chocolate cake in a jar, "On The House", which was so thoughtful! Overall we couldn't have asked for a more special time. Ken & Maddie really made us feel welcomed. They were very personable and kind. People in bham LOVE P.F. Chang's for some reason. I don't understand it. This place is busy all day every day! To me, it's always so bland. I can only ever eat it to-go because I have to season everything myself at home to make it edible. One positive, I will say, though, everyone who works here is pretty nice. But they don't text you or email you when your food is ready and it's never ready when they say it will be. I've waited over an hour past my estimated pickup time on multiple occasions. Just tell me pickup is in an hour! No biggie! But don't make me sit in my car or stand awkwardly by the to-go shelves waiting on my food. The Red Dragon cocktail was great! Their version of a Boulavardier with Gentleman Jack, blood orange, Aperol, sweet vermouth and orange slice!! Of course Hot and Sour soup is a must for me!! Crispy noodles, mushrooms, that great broth spicy and sour rich! Then to the Orange Peel Shrimp orange rind, hot pepper and white, brown rice or fried for upcharge!! To bring home was the long life noodle and prawns. Not my favorite, lacked flavor texture was off that of uncooked ramen taste and noodles not soft. Glad it was free entree to try today cause I won't order again. Orange Shrimp one of my favorites but Wok fired Filet is great! Server was friendly and fast and also had great suggestions but my mind was set lol. My meal was, in a word, terrible. There hot and sour soup was totally room temperature... not even warm. Sent it back. This allowed the spring rolls - no sauce on the side, no requested mustard. Totally just piled on the plate. The Kung Pao Chicken - oddly, deep fried - was overly breaded. Thank God I had asked asked for extra sauce on the side, because it helped to flavor a bland dish and to soak through some of the fried coating. I don't understand why this $36 meal was so bad. Wait staff was standing around a lot - lots of laughing and horseplay around the data entry terminals. (The restaurant was absolutely NOT busy.) A table for 5 right next to me stayed piled up with dishes from a previous party the entire 90 minutes I was there. The other table next to me obviously had issues as with their dinner as well... the manager was serving them more frequently than their assigned wait staff person. All in all, it was both a terrible meal and a terrible experience. And it was my first time there. To say I was disappointed would be a real understatement. I would've been happier with the orange chicken from Panda Express. My Spicy Miso Soup was awful. I had a couple of bites and told the waiter I wasn't a fan. The pork was like a piece of rubber. A pretty decent chain for Asian fusion. This location is very busy, so there is likely a wait. If you can, detour and sit at the bar because the service is usually better and faster. I was amazed at how crowded it was on a Saturday at 3PM, so that is what we did. I ordered pork egg rolls and the Mongolian Beef and my wife got the Ginger Chicken with Broccoli. Our service was very attentive and fast even after getting our drinks, so that is the kudos for the day. I've had way better Mongolian Beef; however, the egg rolls and the several bites of my wife's chicken entree were very good, so that made up for some of it. The prices are a bit high in my opinion for the quality of the food offered. Drinks are also priced as expected ($5-6 for a regular beer and $10 for a large). I did like the Asian selection. All in all, I'll probably come back, but not often. read more

Ended up getting an mixed up order and was reconciled immediately with another full dish - delivered with a smile. Chanel gave service that was top notch. We took all of her suggestions even down to the chocolate cake and our new favorite (apple dish - forgot the name). We were delighted to meet one of the manager's Ken- who trust me, is a true Doll!
