I came here for a family event. The service started out good and then our waitress vanished. Apparently some weird drama in the back. The ambience here is very classic Asian style. The food was OK. It was by no means bad but it left much to be desired in several ways. I understand that this is a chain restaurant so I'm not going to bust on them too hard. The lemonades were refreshing. I ordered a pomegranate lemonade and a strawberry cucumber lemonade. I liked the pomegranate one slightly better. I think the biggest disappointment for me was the lo mein. It didn't taste like much and there was nothing in it but noodles. The sushi was standard, not super high-quality. The honey chicken I ordered was all right. I tasted my sister's pepper chicken and I preferred that. I tried my brothers sesame chicken and did not care for that. The wonton soup was good, but the vegetables that went in there were chunky and raw so really weird to eat. My dad loved his Mongolian beef and he is a hard character to please. I really like the food and location. The atmosphere is typical PF Chang, very open and well designed. The problem here is the service. I have been here several times over the past few weeks we have been in the Albany area and each time the service has been lacking. Slow to seat, slow to take orders, slow to deliver food and slow to bring the check. The only thing I would recommend is training and supervision to better the customer experience. read more

This is not Chinese food. If you accept that then you can have a nice meal. The atmosphere is nice. I love the interior design. The beginning and end of the meal were my favorite parts. The shrimp dumplings were not bad coated in a semi spicy sauce. Light and pillowy they did the job. The beef was tough and had way too many scallions. The mixed fried rice was bland and salty. It did not taste like any Chinese food I've had elsewhere. The chocolate soufflé dessert was divine! I could have licked the plate. Service was friendly and efficient. I enjoyed the man who seated us and the waiter. The manager was nice too. The problem is the food. Service was great, our waitress, Rosina, was great with time management and brought out our food efficiently. The only downside is the food itself. My boyfriend got sesame beef with a side of lo mein. Nothing about the beef was sesame; the sauce was thick and sweet, didn't feel like authentic sesame beef. The Lo Mein was dry and had no flavor, kind of reminded him of "boiled ramen" as he said. I got the Korean Fried Chicken with the Sweet and Spicy sauce and it was a bit dry, but overall it was a solid 6/10. I went here the week before Christmas. First we ordered lettuce wraps, I was disappointed because one of my favorite things about these was the fresh iceberg lettuce, which they didn't use at this location. I hope other locations have not changed the lettuce wraps. We also had dumplings that were okay, they seemed a bit tough. We shared some beef with broccoli, was as expected and a California roll that was very good. The reason I gave 3 stars, besides the food, is because I left my credit card. I called the next day, and was told the manager would call me. Two days later I called again, still no return call. I expect more out of PF Changs. Went here on the Saturday before Christmas, it was surprisingly not crowded at all, especially since we went during prime dinner time, but we were promptly greeted and seated. An order of BBQ ribs was delicious, along with hot and sour soup. One notable thing was we placed an order for firecracker shrimp; which was served as firecracker chicken. When we pointed it out to our server, apologies ensued, they took the dish back and came out with a fresh dish of.....firecracker chicken! With that said tonight was awful.We ordered beef and broccoli and it was meat and broccoli over rice butter with no sauce.It was dried meat and rice. Unbelievable that a cook would serve this to a customer. Chicken fried rice was greasy and burnt. We also had sweet and sour chicken and again very dry little sauce. This is a beautiful restaurant. We had a very nice lunch here. We started off with a hot and sour soup bowl that serves six. Wow, that hot and sour soup packed a real punch as far as pepper went. It was really tasty but really hot, spice wise. For entrées, we ordered the short rib fried rice, beef with broccoli, and tempura shrimp roll. The tempura roll was very tasty with the crunchy shrimp on top. Real good. The beef with broccoli was also very good with a nice crunchy texture on the outside. I ordered vegetable fried rice it's hard like uncooked rice or seems old rice that recycle to a fried rice. Mongolian beef is dry, Mongolian tofu is hard and both Mongolian meals have all green onions maybe because green onions is cheaper than greens beans, it's probably Mongolian green onions! The sesame chicken is more vegetables than chicken and chicken is soggy not the top sesame chicken you can order in Chinese to go places. First time ordering in this restaurant and i wasted $86 for a meal that is very disappointing! It's a ripped off restaurant! I always enjoy P.F. Chang's and find that it offers a consistently good family meal. If you're unfamiliar with P.F. Chang's, it's essentially an Americanized, Asian fusion style restaurant pulling menu items from Chinese, Japanese, and Thai restaurants. I found the service at this location to be very friendly, very attentive, and our server was engaged, energetic, and upbeat. The location is a plus for Albany, as the restaurant is located in a shopping center with a lot of great stores, as well as a nearby movie theater. This is a great location to enjoy a date night with dinner and a movie. There are many food options that I always like when I come to P.F. Chang's. For appetizers, you can't go wrong with the chicken lettuce, wraps, the dumplings, or the spare ribs. I absolutely love the dynamite shrimp, if you're into something that has a bit of a kick. For me and Entrees, the spicy chicken and the Mongolian beef, or go twos that I've enjoyed for more than 20 years. The fried rice options are also very good though you might find yourself with a lot of food pretty quickly. P.F. Chang's doesn't promise, a quaint, authentic Chinese food experience. That's not what the restaurants are about. However, they do offer very good food, slightly more upscale dining, and typically have something on the menu that everyone can enjoy. Have been here a couple of times and usually had a decent experience. No so tonight. Ordered the appetizer sampler and the dumplings and edamame were brought out luke warm at best (spend too much time under a heat lamp?) I had enjoyed the bulgogi beef lettuce wraps before, and since they were no longer on the menu I opted to try the bulgogi steak. They should call it the bulgogi misteak because that thing is awful. Tough meat and no knife makes for not a lot of fun. My girlfriend got the "crispy" honey chicken and they bright out giant soggy breaded garbage. The drink service was lacking; our waiter would drop off food while the glasses were empty and didn't notice or didn't care. Lackluster all around and won't be back here anytime soon. Save your dining dollars for establishments that are worth supporting - not crappy chains barely going through the motions. read more

The sweet and sour chicken was soggy and lacked flavor, the ribs were cold, and the rice wasn't good. Mind you, she picked up the food within the time frame she was given. When she called about it, the manager questioned her about the pick up time, although she arrived within the time frame given. We came to pick it up and they stated that the wrong person picked up our order (You didn't bother to check who picks up the order? How can a Doordash driver pickup the order when the order was directly placed onto your website as a PICKUP?) The staff accused us of our account being "hacked" and shifted the blame onto us. They did not feel bad at all and did not compensate for the additional 40 minutes it took to remake the order. I am so shocked and disgusted at how they treated us. Ridiculous. Feedback for this business: Have better communication within your team and admit when you are wrong. Know when to make up to your customers for your mistakes. The food is also mid. We happened to be at Colonie Center and had a gift card, so my family (husband and two kids - ages and 6) decided to have dinner at PF Chang's. There was no wait, and we were seated right away. My girls loved the decor of the restaurant, they said they felt like they were in the movie Raya. They also liked playing with the "golden" chopsticks and crane chopstick holders. Kids are also given a little activity book and crayons, and there are a good five or so kids meal options. Unfortunately the table had bits of food on it from the last inhabitants. It was our fault in not saying something to our server. My husband and I ordered a bottle of wine and this is the only restaurant we've ever been to where the wine wasn't poured for us. My kiddos shared a sweet and sour chicken kids meal and side of white rice (we were not charged for the rice). My husband and I got the chicken fried rice and chicken pad Thai. My husband said the rice was tasty, but greasy. I like my pad Thai a little dryer, and this dish was a little heavy on the sauce. The chicken and tofu in the dish were flavorful though.
