I am a 35 year old breast cancer survivor. I worked closely with Laura for fittings and Cheyenne at the front desk. They are both immaculate individuals. Cheyenne is a soft spoken individual who helped answer my often "silly-feeling" questions, took payment and processed me in their systems. Laura is an absolute gem herself. She is compassionate, relatable, caring and sincerely wants to serve you beyond what you think you deserve. She is vivacious yet has a calm personality that made me feel like a part of her family. She has the type of aura that encapsulates you with that home-feeling type of love and care. To give a simple example of this, she didn't have a sports bra in stock (other than the bras that patients would try on to get the correct fit)...and that was one of the only ones that I was choosing to purchase at that time. She then kindly told me she would NOT allow me to walk out of there without having a bra and prosthetic breast on that day! She made the trial bra mine & ordered a new bra for her try-on stock rather than me having to wait about a week until a shipment came in. I had felt so defeated by cancer, it felt so wonderful to feel SEEN and CARED FOR! I wish I could better describe her personality; she is such a wonderful lady. To attest to the facility itself, it's beautiful and very welcoming. You'll walk in, meet Cheyenne behind the desk & then get rolling with Laura in the fitting room, which is absolutely nothing like an exam room. It is filled with a beautiful couch, plush chairs, mirrors and an entire wall of bras. At first, I was a little intimidated by all the options of bras that were hanging on the wall, but looking back, I shouldn't have been! Laura knew exactly what to start me out with to try on, and if I wanted specific things within a bra, she'd pull it right off the shelf like magic. Her heart is truly compassionate within the breast cancer world. I couldn't have asked for a better post-breast cancer care team. Since my initial visit, I have returned to them four times. Not only do they sell bras, they have tees, jerseys, swag, and bathing suits that have inserts for my prosthetic breast! It makes me feel so beautiful to finally be out in the sun (now that I am allowed after chemo has subsided), and I would like to thank their true word (i.e., is my booty hanging out too much, does this make me look pudgy) in helping me to find a bathing suit that fits my needs. P & H Services is the best durable medical equipment company I have encountered in Austin Texas. In 2014, I developed severe blood clots in my right leg. The cardiovascular surgeon who worked on me prescribed compression stockings to wear from sun up to sun down. Because I did not know any better, I bought the prescription compression stockings "off the shelf." My doctor wanted me to wear thigh-high stockings. As everyone's body is a little different, the stockings that would fit around my leg were too long for my leg and chaffed me. Consequently, I did not wear the stockings very much. They were uncomfortable and they did not fit my leg well. In December 2017, my cardiovascular surgeon said my leg was getting much worse because I wasn't wearing the compression stockings. He didn't really have a good solution to help me fit into the right size stocking. I think I called 15 or 20 suppliers in Austin before I reached P & H Services. But I am glad I did. They had a solution for me that is working well. The next day I went into their office and was fit for custom made compression stockings. When you buy off the shelf stockings, they might take three measurements of your leg, but they fit you into whichever stocking is the closest. With custom-made compression stockings, the fitter measures your leg in at least 10 different places. The factory that makes them according to the sizes each of the critical parts specifically for your foot and leg. It took about two weeks to receive my stockings and P & H worked with my insurance company, Blue Cross Blue Shield so they would pay for them. The customs stockings fit better, are easier to put on, and are doing a much better job keeping my leg from swelling during the day. It might not be an understatement to say that P & H saved my leg. I dealt with three different people at P & H and each was very professional. I had no problems with the insurance, and I can replace the compression stockings about every three months. P & H will take care of all of the details. I do not think most doctors who work with DVT and post thrombotic syndrome know about the benefits of sending their patients to a company like P & H. If you, like me, are required to wear compression stockings, I strongly suggest you call P & H and talk to them about their program. They have made me a customer for life. read more

I had a horrible experience here and would not recommend this place of business to anyone. I had my radiation, for breast cancer, delayed for six weeks, due to the compression bra I was fitted for and sold. Which did nothing. I went to the doctor post surgery due to the swelling and when she saw the bra I was sold, she was upset, as it did not fit, was too large and did zero compression, which is what I was fitted for. I was sold a bra that did nothing and due to excessive swelling and following bruising, I could not have a Savi inserted for 6 weeks following surgery. Bad enough having cancer, but to be fit by a "durable medical" company and find out I was sold something that did not work. When I called to bring it to their attention, so this would not happen to anyone else, I was totally blown off. The woman who had fit me did not care in the least. Worst service ever. Very unprofessional staff and fitter. I would go to Petticoat Fair - much better experience. read more

"Top Notch Business" I had a GREAT experience at P&H Services. Very professional, but not only professional they are very caring. I have developed lymphedema since I had thyroid cancer back in 2008. My legs and breast area swell and are very painful. P&H Services was recommended to me by my therapist at Baylor Scott and White. I called and talked to Missy a couple of times before I drove over for my fitting. She was very caring and helpful on the phone. Since it is at the year end I had to get in for my fitting so my insurance would cover the expense. P&H was able to get me in right away for my appointment. My husband and I drove over from Bastrop and worked with Hilda and she was just Awesome. We were so amazed at the products they had. From Bras, Cami's, Thigh Highs, Knee Highs , Knee and arm compression down to Sport's Socks and much more. We couldn't believe how fashionable they were. The products are not just the beige and black you find off the self at your local Pharmacy. No these product go way beyond that. I always find the compression hose I buy at the local stores tend to cause more pain and makes me Not want to wear them. They do have some off the shelf products, but for something like this you are going to want to do the custom fit. Now I will not lie they are expensive, but if you get a prescription from your doctor and have met your deductible you might be able to get assistance from your insurance to cover them. I did not have my prescription with me on that day but Hilda faxed over a request right the minute I told her that and we were able to get it back from the doctor the next day to place my order for my product. Hilda took the time on her day off of Christmas shopping to stop and place my order because she knew how important it was for me to have my hose. The day of my appointment my husband also was fitted for knee compression, which he has needed for a long time. I walked out with a bra that I absolutely love $65 which as most women know if you go to Victoria Secret your going to pay close to that. But it's not going to give you compression. Hilda also had just gotten in a sample of a knee high product that miraculously was my same measurement and she let me have it. They fit so well and I'm so thankful for them. Now the Sports Socks. This is all the new trend, you will see lots of people at the gym wearing them. I ordered a pair of the CEP sports socks and I can't wait to get them in. In conclusion I highly recommend P&H Services, they get 5 stars from me!!! read more

I've been going to P&H since I was first diagnosed with Lymphedema after breast cancer 5 years ago. They make me feel like family. I'm always pleased with my compression garments, they are always very speedy, and their service is top-notch. Truly customer-centered. The thing that impresses me the most is how active they are in the breast cancer community, raising money and participating in multiple events each year. Compression with expression can be found at P & H !! I am prescribed to wear custom compression garments from my waist to my toes 24/7. My compression garment guru (Missy) goes above and beyond to help me comply with these requirements. She has made it possible for me to live a relatively normal life with flair even with my restrictions. Missy and the staff at P & H also help with my insurance claims. P & H Services received prescription for compression stocking for lymphedema. When first fitted, they came to South Austin. The prescription was not filled correctly, so new measurements were needed. They required a visit to their location in Cedar Park (from near San Marcos) for measurement and fitting. With another two tries, none the stockings fit correctly. Some are tight across the top of foot to the point of pain. Some, come above my knee. And, the elastic dots on the top of one pair causes allergic reaction and sores. (There's no way to know which pair causes the reaction, so I risk the reaction everytime I wear a stocking.) P&H did not manage my records in a timely manner so that I could receive another two pairs before year end (after I'd met out-of-pocket.) read more

Wendy took my measurements, and told me everything that she would need before submitting to my insurance. She even ordered my compression wear before my trip overseas and my order came in before my trip! I had everything that I needed for my trip as I was going to do a lot of walking.
