The staff at Mobility City (MC) are great to work with. No pressure just a lot of helpful information. My Father in Law has reached a time in his life where he's considering a "scooter". Getting harder for him to be on his feet for any length of time. My main concern is his ability to control it and maneuvering inside and outside the home. The guys at MC showed us "zero turn radius" powered chairs and some four wheel chairs with a pretty tight turning ability. The unit needed to be light enough for my wife to be able to toss in the back of our SUV. Yet sturdy enough to handle a 5'10 frame. Scott and Richard came to my apartment today exactly on schedule, Scott accessed the damage to the arm of my Zoomer mobility chair very professionally, and told me the part I would need to replace, They said they would be back tomorrow with the replacement part. I was very satisfied with their quick response to my call requesting a visit, their work while they were here, and their friendliness while they were here. My family's elderly loved one was unexpectedly hospitalized and we needed a hospital bed for home use before our loved one could be discharged home. I have been looking for a reasonably priced scooter since I'm having major knee surgery. I had several quotes for $300-$500 for a monthly rental (several were 3 wheel scooters.) I talked to Brandon who was extremely helpful and got me a rental the same day for $250 + $70 for delivery and pickup. (other companies wanted $70 for each for a total of $140 - WOW). I would give Mobility less than one star if that was an option. I rented a temporary electric wheelchair for my mom when her's broke and required service. The electric wheelchair did not work for my mom, so I returned it a week early. Mobility REFUSES to return half the rental money. So they get a full 2 week rental payment from me and they can rent the chair again. This is just not right. On top of that, the rental was in terrible shape and should have never been rented. Second issue is lack of communication around repairs, timing of repairs and just not returning phone calls. Left my mom's electric wheelchair with Mobility for over 4 weeks, without one call to us on status. My mom called multiple times and left messages without a single returned call. When we finally got the details about the fix, it was very expensive and they could not give us a timeframe for when the fix would be complete. We ordered the part from the manufacture and were given a 7-10 day window to receive the part. If we can get a delivery timeline from the manufacture, they why can't this place. This is really the only company in the Austin area this does repairs on electric mobility equipment and they are taking advantage of that. We will no longer be using is place and will never recommend them again. read more

My Mom's roller walker is 2 years old and needed a tune-up. Mobility City was able to do it in one day and lent her a rental unit while they did it.
