I spoke with Freddy on repairs needed for my roof. He came out and gave me an estimate that week. He used a drone which scanned my entire roof and showed areas that needed repair. Ozone did a complete re-roof in October 2023 for a home we own. This year, 10/25 the rain gutters began to leak and when we cleaned them out we discovered handfuls of nails and brads left behind from the roofers. Then we grew concerned about the planters and lawn area below the roof eaves and bought a magnet arm and tracked it over the lawn. The result was a pile of rusty nails suppressed in the lawn that could have wound up in someone's foot. Obviously, Ozone roofers did not spread out a tarp to catch the fallen nails, nor did they clean out the gutters after reroofing the house. It didn't occur to us that we needed to climb up on ladders to see that they cleaned up after themselves, and we certainly didn't think they would have allowed nails and brads to fall into the grass and planters. We had a very old roof in desperate need of replacing. I met with 8 different roofing companies, a couple of which declined to even give me a bid because of the complexity of the project (we have a very narrow driveway/bridge, the home is custom and the roof has a lot going on including copper features, and the house is built into a hillside which make scaffolding tricky). Anyway, Ozone's bid came back in roughly the same ballpark as the other roofers. So my bottom line became who do I have the most confidence in in their ability and experience with the roofing products I had already chosen. I wanted to use a composite slate tile by DaVinci. When I had mentioned this to Spencer he shared that his company had installed DaVinci tiles many times and they had even installed it on his brother's home. The installation process went as smoothly as I could have hoped for. The crew was friendly, considerate, on time in the mornings, they cleaned up at the close of every day, and they moved the project along in a timely manner. Ozone was contracted by our solar installer to re-roof one part of our tile roof before they installed the solar. They removed the tiles and put down composite shingles for the solar panels to be installed over. Using the tiles they saved from the demolition, they "framed" the solar panels so that our roof could meet our HOA requirements. Freddy was tremendously helpful in making sure the whole process went smoothly and even had his guys do some repairs to the chimney crown and replace some other broken tiles. Ozone Roofing was recommended to me by a friend who is a relator. I mention that, because relators deal with a lot of contractors, some good, some bad, and when the recommend one, they tend to be the best. That's certainly the case with Ozone Roofing. I gave them a call and Freddy was particularly great to work with. He was very, very patient offering advice on how to roof around a solar install I was considering, and quickly got me a quote on fixing some broken tiles on my house, and a new skylight. The job was done quickly and professionally and all of Ozone's employees were professional and pleasant. They also did a meticulous job of cleaning up after the repair (which is not the case for many contractors I've used. Poor contractors tend to leave a wake of debris). I should also mention that they stand by their work and products. I had a problem with my skylight's mechanical blind, and Ozone sent out 3 employees for 1/2 a day to remedy the problem. Since it really was a product problem and not an installation problem they could have passed the buck to the manufacturer, but took it upon themselves to fix it and have a happy customer. All 4 warrantied the work but when my roof leaked again after, didn't return my calls during the warranty (I'm guessing because they had already been paid) Freddy, the owner however, while on vacation out of country not only returned my text immediately, but sent his team out, in the rain to help find the leak.
