Cute raw bar on the river in Bath. We did a tasting of 4 different oysters. All I remember is that our favorite was from OysterHERS' "sister farm". Also great mocktails. You order at the counter and they bring the drinks and food to the table. It gets pretty busy but we were there for a late lunch so not too bad a wait.
Fun place for oysters and wine. I had a dozen of the flight taste (from 3 different oyster farms). I really enjoyed OystHERS the most. Service was great. Friendly. There is indoor and outdoor on the water seating. There was live music tonight and Monday night special was grilled oysters. Look forward to returning .
This is an excellent place for fresh oysters with a riverfront view in Bath, Maine! My family arrived here in July 2026 for lunch after a morning visit to the nearly Maine Maritime Museum. First, it has a small but dedicated parking lot. Second, the service was friendly. After ordering at the front register and providing your table location, they will bring the food to you. Third, the riverside view was spectacular. We ordered the lobster sliders, smoked fish dip, raw oysters, a hot dog aka "red snapper". Everything was consistently delicious!
Finally posting this, but while in Maine for work a week ago, we stumbled upon this oyster bar and it was WONDERFUL! Right on the water with a great patio of Adirondack chairs and picnic tables to enjoy your oysters, beer, wine, or bubbly, and other lovely snacks. It was so relaxing and charming that if I lived in Bath or nearby, I'd be here every week! We chose a mixed selection of a dozen oysters and the Downeast Smoke Show to go with our local beers. Since we come to Yarmouth 4 times a year for work, I'm looking forward to coming back to have some more oysters and explore other options on the menu at other times of the year.
Blueberry mignonette wow!!!! Love this woman owned operation. The outdoor seating on oyster shells adds to the ambience with a breathtaking view. This is a stop in the Maine Oyster Trail so I appreciated food options to help with adult beverage & oyster stomach. The North was flavorful cheeses, jam, mustard, meets, ritz & pretzels ( just what we needed). Drinks bubbly & Chardonnay were cold & refreshing- great selection ! The oysters from their farm are not too "briney" and medium sized - we truly enjoyed the entire experience!
We stopped by because we were getting Hangry. Love the name and they have great merch. I had the assorted half dozen oysters that were all absolutely outstanding. My dining companion ordered the shrimp cocktail and we split the charcuterie board. The charcuterie board had excellent dried tomatoes, little bit of olives, some prosciutto rice, crackers, a teeny tiny wheel of Brie, a couple balls of mozzarella that were kind of bland. There was a very nice bread and some olive oil. There were also some stuffed grape leaves that neither of us were crazy about and some strawberries. Oh and almonds. It was good, but of course, given the name, the star of the show really was the oysters and they were freaking amazing. Cute little place. I would highly recommend.
OystHERS is the kind of place I almost hesitate to write a review for, because it's so good, I want it to myself. The vibe is...outstanding. Riverfront location with fish jumping, boats coming and going, and inside/outside/porch seating; tons of parking available in the area; and interesting, funky decor. The people are friendly, helpful, and all over your seafood needs. The menu is...significant. The boards are generous; we had the 'Up North' and it worked well as a starter for four of us, more than the 2-3 promised. Then, one of us had lobster sliders (I snuck a bite and they were wicked decent with the amount of lobster meat - delicious.). The others of us got down on two dozen oysters in a flight. All were from Maine (why bother with oysters from anywhere else?!?), from Casco Bay up to Deer Isle - no Damariscotta oysters, but I'm not complaining - I get those guys all the time. They ranged from brinier to sweeter, all were really good. The drink list is similarly lengthy with some very interesting (in a good way) wines, enjoyed by two of our party; I opted for an Italian style Pilsner, Oxbow Luppolo, brewed just up the road and perfectly crisp. The mocktail list looks outstanding, and next time I'm there, which will be soon, you'll find me with a glass of vermouth, for sure. OystHERS embraces the interesting throughout their menu, and I. Am. Here for it.

Great oyster bar with other fun selections. The list had 6-8 local oyster choices yesterday, and the staff is knowledgeable and can help you choose. Good bubbly and other selections, curated to pair with oysters. The cava was a good choice- hint of sweetness to offset the briny oysters. The absolute draw tho is the space. Small indoor seating area with tables with a view and a high top counter,airy open feel thru out. And a great outdoor deck with both picnic tables and smaller intimate two chair spots that boast fire pits! Great view over the Kennebec, nice breeze, well kept and attractive space. Easy parking right in front. They also do frequent events, including a tie dye your own shirt with the OystHers logo, and occasional live bands. Woman owned, super friendly, very professional. A must go spot in Bath.
This charming spot is perfect place to while away a few hours with friends, sip some wine and nosh on locally sourced, pristine oysters while taking in the beautiful views of the surrounding area. Patio tables outside are perfect, even in a light drizzle, for watching the river roll by. We opted for a bottle of Gruner Veltliner to go with our two dozen oysters, while our driving friend stuck with a mock-tail. They have quite a selection of mock-tails, which also pair nicely with the menu options. The oysters themselves are beautiful briny bites of deliciousness, complemented by the house made mignonette or the cocktail sauce. These oysters are so pristine, they even taste great sans accompaniment. So next time you're stuck in traffic on Route 1 near Bath, take a detour to OystHERS to refresh and rejuvenate.

We LOVED our dinner last night! The oysters were so fresh and perfectly briney. The lobster on both the lobster slider and the lobster salad was perfectly cooked. It wasn't rubbery at all and the flavor was perfect. They didn't overwhelm the lobster with mayo either. We loved the sitting outside by a fire pit too. It was just so relaxing and delicious! We may have to go there again tonight! read more
Ok this place has so many good reviews so we were so excited to come here and grab some seafood on the water before the cover on the park we were headed to. The host and server were super nice and we got a good spot overlooking the water and the oncoming boats. But that is where the good parts stopped. Take a look at the photo that I show you. I paid $35 for that crab roll that has NO flavor and the bun was stale and hard and the lobster "slider" was also something to be desired ... we later found out I could have gotten a full fledged lobster roll down the road with a buttered bun with a TON of lobster in it for $19. This was also served with a bag of chips. My wife's salad was also a basic salad because it was all she could eat on the menu (VG) We had to go back into the bar area to have them refill our water as the server really didn't ever come back to us. You had to go back into the restaurant to order the food so it had a takeout seafood shack feel to it while trying to high class it. If I go to an "on the water" restaurant and spend $50 bucks on a plate, it might be a better pick. I didn't the oysters on the half shell at the other tables and those looked great for local sourced oysters. Oh we also had a smoked pollack dip with some ritz crackers that was pretty good but over priced. I don't think we will be back here next time near bath ... will walk up the road to an ice cream shoppe with lobster rolls. read more

I can't believe I just tried OystHers for the first time. It is the absolutely most perfect oyster bar. It has all the credentials for perfection...outdoor seating overlooking a body of water...in this case the beautiful Kennebec River, including a spectacular view of the big bridge over it. Watching boats go by, and people walking in the walking path to get to the park right next door...perfect for people and dog watching. Plus, OysHers allows well behaved dogs at the outdoor seating area. The menu includes MANY varieties of sparking wines, including a mimosa flight, and all local oysters, all sourced from women-owned oyster farmers, plus they have their own oyster farm as well. The menu does include a few non-seafood items, such as the classic Maine red hot dog. The menu also includes some caviar in case there is a need for a special occasion caviar celebration. There are a variety of seating options outside and inside. There are firepit tables with Adirondack chairs, regular tables and chairs, picnic tables, and high top tables. There is a beautiful display of the days oyster selection inside on ice. The ordering process is simple...order what you want at the register, tell them where you're seated (we were are fire pit #2) and they bring your order to you. You can start a tab or pay as you go. Each table has a little sign that says what the table name/number is. We went on a Wednesday afternoon so we did not try the fire pit. It is a great reason to go back. We tried the mimosa flight (orange, grapefruit, cranberry, and lemon) and a flight of oysters (4 different varieties). I couldn't tell you which one was best...they were all perfect. I especially loved how expertly they were shucked and cut loose. Every oyster slid out of its shell without any resistance and each oyster had all of its liquor. They were perfectly clean and chilled and served with lemon, a cocktail sauce and a delicious mignonette. My friend also tried a local canned cocktail, Dasch seltzer, that was excellent...not too sweet, lots of blueberry flavor. I can't wait to go back! read more

Fantastic little gem in the sleepy little town of Bath. The smoke show charcuterie board was great and had stuff for landlubbers to snack on and their short but very functional local beer list works perfectly. But the oysters... that's why you come here. Staff is very friendly, low pressure and knowledgeable. All in the shadow of the Carlton vertical lift bridge. What more could you want. Bring all your money. read more

7/9/25 A very pretty oyster bar/ seafood cafe, quiet and subdued, until an overbearing blusterer announced herself (I would guess she was local; no tourist would act this way.) I digress. The service is excellent, smooth, well-oiled. Ava did most of the shucking; of my dozen oysters, I found one small shell remnant. Two varieties: House from Georgetown (down the Kennebec from Bath) and Emily's from Freeport. Both are cultivated by the women who own and run the Cafe. Both are quite briney, Emily's more so. Neither require help from the berry/mignonette. The House is softer, creamier- both yield easily to a soft crush between tongue and palate. I could not detect any sweetness in either. They offered just those two varieties- somewhat disappointing- but I'll give them another try this summer- and next, with Ava returning then. When the oysters are so fresh, sourced from Maine, an excellent shucker separates the woman from the boys. A caveat: unless you live in Bath, rely on your GPS; otherwise this would be impossible to find. This is an hour from my home, but worth the journey. read more

Super cute place right on the water in Bath. Oysters, bubbly and charcuterie. Nothing is cooked so all items are cold. $5 prosecco on draft. You order at a counter and they bring your order to you. Small place with small outside eating area-dogs welcome. The oysters were outstanding. There is plenty of on street parking and a small lot. Take a walk after along the water. There is also a cute soft serve ice cream truck that is right next to the restaurant. read more

Such a great spot!! We stopped by as a big group of 10, half adults, half kids and there was something for everyone! The oysters were amazing, the prosecco on tap was so good and the kids had their share of mocktails. We sat outside on the water and it was beautiful!! We'll be back for sure! read more

Fantastic drink selection and great oysters! The employees were helpful in curating a selection of a dozen oysters with delicious rotating mignonettes. We had a strawberry vinegar which was unique and yummy. read more

Such a cute oyster bar. Outside seating is limited but if you have the chance to snag a table it's so worth it. Nothing better than enjoying fresh oysters and a glass of bubbly right by the water. Service was excellent - greeted as soon as we entered the building, and well taken care of the rest of our visit. Would love to go back when I'm back in Maine. read more
