Why? Why is no one talking about Sunday Brunch? Omg, come here! Authentic Irish Pub. Friendly service, great food, lots to check out on the walls, and good music. Hits on all fronts. Like usual, we sampled a few menu items: Baileys and coffee Mimosa Breakfast Mac & Cheese Irish eggs Benedict Peter's omelet - what didn't it have in it? Yum! Th Irish poached eggs were made perfectly. They were served with corned beef hash - I don't normally like nor go for hash. It was so good. Really good! Def get the hash! The Guinness bread was sweeter than expected. It was dense and good. A little goes a long way. It was all good! Everyone in the place looked happy and enjoying their meal. If I lived closer, would come here all the time.

I've been coming here for years. It's always our first stop after a four hour ride for lunch. Love the interior, it's a classic bar with great wood floors and plenty of things to look at on the wall. Love the signs in the bathroom! Service is always friendly and the food good. We start with the Leprechaun balls, a little spicy ap. After that typically Rueben's, shepherd's pie and whatever else temps us. I had a BLT this year and it hit the spot.

An Irish pub that actually plays Irish music and once a week has a whole Irish folk band come in and liven the place up with solemn sadness as only a folk band can do! I have had just about everything on the menu as I have the time, funds and the loneliness to do so! No hot chick I am trying to please who "wants to try something different" or something like that! WOMAN... why do we need to try something different? This place has shown us time and time again that they know how to cook food! Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that the food is good, the staff is awesome and doesn't judge me showing up time and time again by myself to eat their amazing Irish themed food. And if you are cool they will even show you their basement which opens up through a panel on the floor like some early speak easy. Is the food authentic? Hell if I know! I'm a dude from Southern California who went to Ireland once and thought the food tasted crappy the whole time but this is good!

The last two times we were there, they did not play Irish music, or still carry Blue Moon beer which we specifically went for there those two main reasons. We have been back in some time, and probably won't.

Stopped in for lunch. This place had been recommended to us several times by other family members, so we figured we'd give it a try. The atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect from an Irish pub: somewhat cozy, lots of wood, and paraphernalia from the isles. There was also a lot of random knick knacks strung up on the walls (e.g. PA license plates?), but I guess we'll chalk that up to just being another bar. They have a decent selection of beers on tap (at least 12) with the Guinness staple of course. The menu is a healthy mix of Irish fare with other options for those not feeling the traditional, often heavy plates. The staff was pleasant enough; definitely not seemingly happy, but definitely not rude either. We had a bowl of potato leek soup (the special) and shrimp tacos. The soup was quite good, as were the tacos. The tacos were served with a side of tortilla chips - just chips. No salsa or sauce or anything of the sort; just dry chips. They remained practically untouched by the time the table was cleared. We would definitely go back for a shot at a full meal.

First time to Bath, ME and we stumbled across Byrnes' Irish Pub...de glad we did! :) The atmosphere was welcoming and has a good pub vibe. The Salmon BLT was delicious! I'd come back again just for that. If you're in town, stop by; you won't regret it.

    Fun. Open atmosphere

I'm hanging on to the hope that my 4 stars will not have to be updated as the scales of bar justice can only tip downward hence forth. Perhaps I have a false sense of self - but I'm a freakin great customer - I spend hundreds of dollars a month on eating, drinking and making Merry at the midcoast Maine bars - y'all business owners better take notice of me and respect the badge, my writing power and my posse - cause I'll turn you out if I must. The folks at the bar are quite the opposite, they're friendly and engaging- one guy was dancing to live music, caulking around the AC while drinking drafts and discussing Him Morrison with me as I sat alone in a dark corner. This is what Irish bars are - just gotta inform the barmaid- only one, the other is quite nice - and the big guy - I'm betting a shit of Jamison that he's the owner- always running around the back, cooking up great meals - try his Steak and Cheese, the twelve inch pizza which beady eye called "fourteen" - duh - is $9.00 and big guys got a heavy topping hand, smothering that pie with the pepperoni that does that high heat trigger shaped twist - like a tulip pedal holding the little droplets of oil inside.

The bartender said we could order food even though it was really slow and the band had stopped playing. We ordered cheese steaks sandwiches. We asked what came with the sandwiches and we were told tater tots. It took almost 40 minutes to get our food. We had to wait about 5 minutes for the ketchup and there were no tater tots. We got a bag of chips and were told they were out of the tater tots and French fries. No respectable Irish bar would not be able to serve fries or some form of potato with a meal. The bar had about 10 people in the bar and they were all pretty drunk. It is not a fun pub but a place with some sad drunks.

I love the fact we could make and change our reservation via Open Table, which removes the uncertainty. I saw that it was recommended as well. I'm glad we did, because while it may not look busy, the restaurant fills quickly once all of the reservation parties arrive. The good news, is they have a decent sized bar, so if you are by yourself, you can find a seat typically around dinner during the week. We were politely greeted when we arrive and brought to your table, once side was wooden bench seating and the other was a chair option. It was comfortable. There wasn't a TON of space in between tables, especially if they are moving tables around to accommodate larger parties. Squeezing in between can get kind of awkard, especially in the winter with jackets. My recommendation make sure your plates and glasses are as far from the edge of the table as you can make them. one of our plates, was bumped/nudged by a butt as a person at the next table got up to leave. Luckily, the food wasn't touched. Food and drink were delicious! I love the fact they have creative non-alcohol options - so spritzy and delicious. I look forward to returning when I'm not driving to try their drinks with spirits. They are very creative with their concoctions. I had the scotch egg to start - so good, I made my friend try a bite, since she had never had one. Savory, i loved the mustard they served with it as well. Yolk was perfectly how I like it. My friend got the fried jumbo shrimp! HOLY JUMBO !!! She enjoyed them and had plenty of leftovers to bring home. I had the fish and chips...They should also use Jumbo in the description. I don't think i have ever had a piece of fish so large in a fish and chips dish. I ate about 1/3 of it and half of my fries and had to take the rest home. It was crispy and delicious and the leftovers will tasted great. The environment was cozy and because of that, it can get VERY LOUD - small space with a lot of conversations. My apple watch went off a few times with a decibel warning. Our server was prompt, helpful and accurate. Parking is parallel street parking if you don't want to pay. We were able to easily find parking on a Wed night for a 6pm reservation. I look forward to returning to try other dishes...Next time, I will be sure to save room for dessert!

One photo I forgot to take, was their Irish Nachos, made with potato skins and we had it with pulled pork - now that was sooo good! Definitely an item to try out if you're thinking of an appetizer. Now with that being said, my husband didn't care for the pork being on the sweet side, where I did like it sweet, so good to know for those that like sweet or not sweet. We were going to order their onion rings, as we tried them before and they're homemade, not frozen, but we wanted to try something different. They have a full bar with a TV and an accessible handicap ramp, located on the front of the building. We have tried the prime rib and 104 Main Burger before and both were awesome. Also, I don't like brussel sprouts and the waitress said, "Trust me, the chef knows how to make anyone love brussel sprouts, because he knows how to cook them." Even she wasn't a brussel sprout fan - and yes, she was correct. They were amazing. If you're ever in Topsham, looking for a place to eat, stop in and give them a try!
