Joel E. from this company was the AAA-partnered technician that responded to my family's roadside assistance request this morning for a flat tire / tow down the road, a five-minute drive. He didn't do so much as get out his truck to talk to me upon arrival. In lieu of at least a 'hello' he said "I'm a Triple-A Driver." He was completely disoriented, eyes bloodshot and slurring his words. I had to ask him to repeat himself multiple times throughout our conversation; It was obvious he did not want to be at work. My family was driving from Santa Barbara to San Diego when they got a flat last night. My mom, who is the AAA policy holder, had to go to work and take care of things at home this morning, so she and my family caught a Lyft while I came from LA to man the car and be there when help came. Despite explaining the situation to Joel, with my mom on the phone, he refused to tow the car, citing that my mom had to be physically present if we wanted a tow. We have used AAA for years and have always been able to have a family member watch the car while my parents worked. Not sure why today was any different. read more

The guy/tech/employee "Scott" they sent out was unbelievably GREAT !!! These days i am noticing that no one knows what they are doing and also don't care. I've had this battery problem I just couldn't seem to figure out, but this guy comes out and knows right away it's these lame connectors that are bad and ruining the batteries because they were touching some other metal and wires, so he tells me what's going on, he replaced the old/bad battery that was depleted in just one year by these poor connections costing me nothing . He even helped me with what I need to tell my mechanic in order to save me some labor costs when I go in on Monday(my issue happened on Sunday/Fathers Day). I wasn't the user for the towing services but assist with getting them onto the facility and the driver/technician was extremely rude having myself and the gate guard stand out in the rain and didn't even acknowledge us. Took the gateguard having to call him out for him to even look at us as he sat in his warm truck. He then proceeded to try to tell both myself and the guard that we have to get in his vehicle in order for him to get onto the facility even though we have explained our process. Then just had attitude with me for doing my job how I'm supposed to do it. Again I was not the user needing it but definitely would never use this company for such service just because of the driver. read more

Very rude, I called them to ask about my car that was totaled and they were very rude and seemed very annoyed about the situation. When all I was asking what I needed to get my belongings out of my car and she seemed very snarky and upset for some reason and you would think over the phone. You can usually fake an attitude, but apparently she couldn't. The service I had requested wasn't that hard so no need for the attitude. Very fast service! Replaced my dead battery and got me going again in less than an hour, total! Would recommend.

I requested for a battery jump through AAA app due to low battery message on car dashboard. Technician Will A. (Badge Number: 143210) from Oxnard Tow Services Inc. arrived and attempted to jump my car from battery under the hood and as well as batteries in the trunk. After no luck, technician Will A. watched YouTube videos and called a colleague to try to figure out how to jump my car due to no knowledge of how to jump a hybrid car. After multiple failed attempts the warning no longer said low battery and flashed a hybrid system malfunction please call dealership warning on the dashboard. Technician Will A. recommended to leave car overnight and same technician towed my car to Ventura Toyota the next morning. After Ventura Toyota inspected my car all day, they came to the conclusion that due to the technician reverse jumping my battery that my integration relay system and battery were damaged and needed to be replaced. They caused $2221.14 in damages. NEVER use Oxnard Tow Services Inc. through AAA or directly unless you want an unexperienced technician to damage your car. I wish I could give ZERO stars. read more

Unfortunately I have had more than one bad experience with OXNARD TOW. Not only is the female very rude, the employees are unhappy with the quality of service due to inadequate (old and cheap) services trickling down from the boss eventually to customers like myself. AAA is trying to find other places however there are not very many places in Oxnard so I was stuck using them twice very dissatisfied both times this is my first time writing a review and hopefully things will change for the better, otherwise I would say don't even bother stay away from Oxnard. I did nothing whatsoever to provoke them. They just were naturally unhappy unprofessional and did not and we're not interested in giving good service even mediocre service. My girlfriend was stranded on the side of a busy street. We waited almost an hour for the tow truck to get here. When he got to the area he called, I listened as the truck driver was aggressive and rude - he reprimanded her for not having his hazards on (I guess he didn't like having to make u-turn). When he pulled up, I approached his passenger side window - he didn't say a word to me and sped away. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone but especially to women, or young adults, strictly for safety reasons. read more

Tow truck took 2 hours to get to me. Driver then refused to remove car from driveway at pickup location, so we had to push car into the street. Now at drop off location driver refused to place car in driveway. Driver stated it was against policy to go into driveway. He said I have 3 options, 1. Leave it in the street. 2. Take it back to the original location. 3. Take it to their impound yard. So after arguing for 30 minutes, I instructed him to put it behind my truck on the curb. Once the driver dropped the car to the ground, he asked if I can help him push the car back and then to the curb. After I refused, driver left car in the middle of the street and took off.
