Our insurance called Nachos after my car went dead in the middle of a busy intersection. It took less than an hour for him to get there. We had a younger gentleman with glasses and he was so nice. When he got there, I was standing behind my car to let other drivers know I was broken down and to go around me. He told me to stand in front of his truck to be safe. I had my car illegally towed by Nacho's towing service, and my wife and I were extorted out of hundreds of dollars when it was all said and done. This was for a 10 mile tow. Their tow truck drivers are on a 24/7 schedule, but their office has very limited hours. The owner came in to release the vehicle to us, and charged us a $135 fee for after hours / and or Holiday. Now I know how he can afford the $150K Ford Raptor that he pulled up in. Such a nice guy (Not). He was rude and condescending. After being in a traumatic car accident, the OPD provided nachos towing to tow away my car from the scene. The driver was helpful but it was until the next day where I went into the office to try to get my car released to my insurance. First off I knocked many times, no one opened the door so I called and a lady picked up. She told me I had to walk inside the office, once I was in no one greeted me. The lady at the front desk presented very hostile behavior and spoke in a rude manor when asking for my information. My designated body shop had issues with them because nachos gave them a hard time to recover my car in order to keep it longer to scam my insurance for more money. I have had so many car troubles this past 2 months in trips from LA to Ventura and have had multiple tows. Many at my own expense!!! This was by far the BEST experience with a tow service. I will only use them in the future. I am retired military with a masters, have done marathons, traveled the world, met and worked with many people all by the grace of God. I know excellence when I see it!!! Nacho's has mastered the art of professionalism and compassion that puts the customers well being first. It feels like family (but family you can actually count on). Great customer service, great pricing, timely and professional. This is business you cannot only trust but want to support and spread the word. People are not in the best situations in the midst of a tow. You just don't know what's going to happen with car repairs, pricing, timing, etc. It can upset the day. I have never experienced a more demeaning customer service representative. Upon even entering this establishment, I was already treated like something subhuman. While trying to get my car back, I was told to give in my license and registration (quite rudely). I told the guy very calmly that my registration was in my car, so I needed to go there to get it. I was then told "that's NOT how this works buddy, and you better pray the car is registered in your name" (which it is, not sure why that was threatened). Additionally, the woman sitting in the back of the office was smirking and laughing at us the whole time, and the tow truck driver sitting out front was mumbling rude comments under his breath. If i could give 0 stars I would. The employees have been nothing but rude to my family and I. We were rear ended at a red light by a distracted driver going 50 mph and the collision left my 3 year old brother concussed. When we came by to clear the stuff out of our totaled car, the workers seemed annoyed the whole time, and eventually told us we couldn't get any of our stuff because the name the car was registered under didn't have "the 2nd" on it. Everything else matched up, we even showed them insurance receipts for the car and they still refused. Eventually we had to call down my grandpa because his name matched up. They let him in but not us. These people clearly have no idea how to run a business and were the least helpful towing company I have ever had worked with. Our driver Matthew was extremely polite and professional, literally going the extra mile to get myself and passengers from Oxnard back to Pasadena, and on his day off no less. Nachos Towing didn't report it until Wednesday so they can charge extra .... Mind you, my son called all towing companies around 6 pm or later on Sunday, including Nachos, to see if anyone had picked it up, and they said they did not have it. Not only that, but he started arguing with us about getting it out. I told him not to start it because it had been stolen, and I didn't feel safe starting it. He insisted on starting my vehicle, not understanding my concerns, and said he was not going to take my car out without starting it and said if he used his truck to move it out he would charge me for a tow!! Bullying us into paying for another tow !! I'm filing a former complaint with the B.A.R. and the Police Department on the poor and disrespectful treatment we received from the owner himself. No communication from them lousy tow service you ask for the driver to take your car to a body shop and instead takes it to a tow yard they don't communicate that they do this and then they charge you for each day that they keep it in storage and after about two weeks I receive a letter in the mail saying there is a lien sale on my car which makes absolutely zero sense. My insurance company and I call and speak to a lady name Michelle and she is absolutely unhelpful and has no clue where anything has any information about my car. So, my alternator went out and my insurance called Nachos Towing out. It was late, 11:30 PM and I was under a ime crunch due to having to leave on vacation the next morning. Nacho came out like a hero to save the day and me and my family were able to get home to finish packing and made our trip. Now you might wonder why I am giving a 1 star for services. Upon returning from my trip the plan was to utilize Nacho's again since I believed they were legit upstanding individuals, oh how wrong I was! I went through my insurance company and had them dispatched to my residence to pick up my vehicle. They arrived with a flatbed even though I specifically requested a wheel lift and car dolly due to my vehicle being AWD and since the alternator went out the vehicle was completely locked up and would not shift into neutral. I was told that my insurance did not cover the equipment that was needed and that I would have to pay out of pocket $150 which was $50 more than what I paid prior to my vacation. This made me very suspicious, so I called my insurance to inquire about my coverage. I was informed that my roadside assistance coverage covers any equipment necessary for use to get my vehicle to a mechanic. Their main excuse for not having the right equipment was blamed on the third party dispatch company my insurance company uses. The funny thing is that I spoke to the dispatch company and they informed me that they send over the full request that is shown when the claim was put in. Each claim they stated had me requesting the appropriate equipment. This was further confirmed when another provider was dispatched to assist me. Nacho's not only lied, but they swindled me out of money. I can't put all the blame on them though. They capitalized on a dire situation and I allowed myself to be vulnerable due to the nature of the situation as well. I for one will not utilize this company again and will also inform family and friends to not utilize them as well. read more

I have a 5th wheel in storage in Filmore. I called AAA to get the tire changed as it was flat. I had a spare and have AAA the address. They said Nacho's Towing was dispatched and would be there in up to 70 min. Fifteen minutes after that time I checked the status to see if there was any change. The time had been changed to TBD. After contacting AAA, they said the driver had taken an out of area call and wouldn't be available for up to 3 hours. WTF kind of business practice is that? You either had the call before you accepted mine and you shouldn't have accepted, or you DELIBERATELY chose to blow me off. Cut to today. I'm out again to get the tire changed. I call AAA again, and again I get Nacho's. Driver should be here by 10:22. 10:25 I check the status, TBD AGAIN! No more.
