Nobody likes to have their vehicle towed and impounded. I had a smooth transaction. Here's how I did it. I WAS POLITE AT ALL TIMES. I made sure I got the phone number of the towing company. I called and asked questions. I received a quote of $388 to pick the vehicle up on Monday and I received a quote for $440 to pick up the vehicle on Sunday. The registered vehicle owner must be present and have current valid identification, they don't offer that important information. I brought a copy of the current registration. I brought my passport. I called ahead of time and inquired about the hours of operation and if somebody was there. I let them know I was coming, which vehicle was mine and how long it was going to take me to get there. I paid in cash. There is a 3% processing fee for credit or debit cards. Time it took me from arrival until I took possession of my vehicle was 18 minutes. The total price was less than quoted, I paid $380. No property was missing from the vehicle. read more

I called AAA for a tow at 12:17. The original estimate was no later than 1:40. I got a text at 1:08 informing me the tow was expected to arrive at 2:10. I called at 2:15 asking for an update, heard "any minute now". Okay, I wait. I called again at 2:40, and the automated voice told me my updated ETA was 3:49. At that point I'll have been stranded in the parking lot for 4 hours. I speak to the representative and she said she'd reach out to the company or request another driver, and they could call me directly. Not even 5 min after I hung up, I saw a Bob's tow truck pull into the parking lot and turn towards the other side. I walked over, didn't see the truck, ended up walking behind the shopping center building to see a pickup AND the flatbed, parked. They weren't talking to each other, doing nothing but just sitting in their car / standing around it, dicking off and clearly with no sense of urgency to help their customer. Clearly taking advantage of the extra "hour" they had to jerk off in their car before coming to help us. I am FUCKING LIVID!!!! Please do better. I complained to AAA and cancelled the request - I can't put into words how upset I am. So my son got an accident and we call AAA to have the car towed. The AAA invoice says nearest shop and these guys towed it halfway across town to their own impound lot. Wouldn't let us get in to get the car on the weekend and now basically are trying to charge is $500 to get a car that was supposed to be towed for free by AAA. Rudy was awesome! I was enjoying a beautiful Sunday drive when my C7 Corvette died and would not start again. I tried everything I could think of and found it may be a bad electronic control module. Terrible service. My insurance company booked them and they said they would be there within 1 hour. After waiting for over an hour we called back and they said it would be at least another hour. Today we called our insurance company and arranged to have the car towed to the body shop. They called two companies - one said it would take 2 hours and one said it would take 1 our to arrive. We went with the quicker. After waiting for over 1.25 hours I called Bobs and the lady on the phone was incredibly rude for no reason. She then said it would be at least another hour. I called my insurance company to cancel this tow and I will never use nor recommend them again. Don't tow with these people... It's a complete rip off. They gave us a flat rate of something like $50 at first to tow only a couple miles. They called us back and found out we are a military family. Once the driver knew that, his rate then tripled to $150 to tow us not even 4 miles outside of the base. I feel like this guy is just hungry for a dollar, and took advantage of the situation. People are under the false pretense that just because we are a military family we would pay triple the amount. My car didn't break down at an off hour... It was around 4 in the afternoon... Used this service for a tow from Oxnard to Camarillo. They got to my location fairly quickly. The total distance Couldn't have been more than 5 miles. Charged me $100 just for that and they didn't even tow my car correctly. Felt very sketchy but they got it there in one piece thank goodness. This company is terrible I've had to use Bob's towing twice and I will always request my insurance to tow with a different company, the first awful experience was a tow THEY scheduled at 8 am at my place of residence and were two hours late for and when the driver got to my address he (either wasn't told or didn't read the request fully) that my car was in my alley so he didn't see it and passed me right by and left without calling the phone number I left them. I had to call the office back and talk to the nasty front desk lady. The second experience I had was getting a car towed after an accident after the extensive wait period we were given at least they were punctual this time but upon arrival parked in front of our car and walked straight past us to the other drivers car to try and secure their towing needs as well (I'm assuming because each driver might get commission of each car or I'm not sure what the incentive was to do that) either way we had been waiting for a tow for over an hour and if the other driver needed a tow truck they should have secured one themselves because we had to wait for them to contact their insurance to see if that company was covered not to mention loading their car etc. finally the nasty front desk lady, I'm not sure if it's more than one lady but each time I have had to call They are just combative and rude my experience to day with the rude lady her name was Cathy, and she was so rude and unprofessional.
