Mario at Camarillo Towing went above and beyond for me. I needed to ship my car from California to Georgia and needed someone to perform that handoff of my car and keys to the car transport truck driver. No towing was needed but they were willing to let me overnight my keys to them, meet the transport driver where my car was parked, and perform the handoff of my car and keys. They provided frequent updates as they coordinated directly with the transport driver and even texted me pictures of my car prior to it being loaded to protect me in the event the transport company accidentally damaged my car during loading or transit. They did all of this for an incredibly reasonable fee. A first class experience that was so good I tipped an additional 50%. Honestly the best experience I've ever had with a towing company. read more

Our Classic '68 Mustang that had been sitting for years needed to be towed off a hillside. Even though it doesn't run, had frozen brake drums, and needed to be pulled at an awkward angle, Mario & Eric very carefully and expertly retrieved it, and got it up onto the flatbed! It needed to be dropped off down a long, tight driveway and Eric was able to maneuver it perfectly into the exact spot it needed to be! I called at 8 AM after realizing I had locked my keys in my car. I was quoted $60 and informed that I would receive a call when the driver arrived, which was estimated to be within an hour. By 9:35 AM, having not received any notification, I called for a status update and was told the driver was next to my car. Upon meeting the driver, he mentioned he had been waiting for 10 minutes, for which I apologized, explaining I had not received any prior call about his arrival. He apologized and said the person I spoke to did not send over my contact info so he had no way to contact me.After he unlocked my car, I was informed that the fee was $80. Confused by the discrepancy, the driver contacted his dispatch. They stated that the correct fee was $80 and that the individual who took my initial call had not been updated on the current pricing. While the driver performed his job well, the miscommunication between the employees and the customer was problematic and misleading. read more

I had a special job of offloading a horse trailer from a big rig, but neither of the main tow truck companies in my Thousand Oaks area were interested. Both flatly said "no;" they handled only car towing. Other companies would do it for double or more Camarillo Towing's estimate. It was also difficult to find a place to unload: a big rig requires space to do this and is not welcome in residential neighborhoods. So Mario at Camarillo Towing suggested I offload it at their facility. McCarty and Sons in Oxnard would have done this job for the same amount, but they were farther from me and open only during business hours, and this trailer was arriving from a distance on a holiday at an uncertain hour. Camarillo Towing personnel were friendly, easy to deal with, and flexible about the time when the truck was delayed by weather. They carried out the job in the rain safely and efficiently. He had the tire shop stay open late to fix my flat so I didn't have to drive home with a spare. He was so friendly and knowledgeable. Our 2017 Camry had a flat on passenger front tire and provided him with a challenge for hitching our sedan up to be towed to Big Brand Tires in Camarillo. And when I went to their office, ready for my car to be moved to an auto shop, they were all so professional, helpful and kind. If I could give them zero I would! My car was robbed of my heirloom jewelry. Eric, the driver told me that they were licensed and bonded and not to worry about keeping my luggage in the car while he towed it to Oxnard Hyundai. It was left there and I showed up 30 minutes later to get my luggage but found he had put the keys in the drop box. The car was locked. I had to leave my luggage.
