David, their driver, fried the transmission in my 2018 Audi A4 when taking it to a repair shop for a flat tire. Their wonderful receptionist, whatever her name was cause she refused to give it to me, hung up on me and blocked my phone number so that they wouldn't have to deal with my complaint. When I finally got to speak to both of them, she wouldn't be quiet and let the driver speak for himself because she knew he would be caught in a lie, which they were. The receptionist told me the MECHANIC put my car in the bay, which never happened as the car never even made it to the bay. After talking to the driver, the driver admitted to struggling to get my car off the truck and then parked it in a spot in the front and told no one anything. After the repair shop went to put my car in the bay, they discovered every single light on my dash and my car wouldn't move. They then called me and I went to confirm that David had in fact killed my vehicle. Their lovely receptionist continued to try to lie stating her driver was never in the vehicle despite having admitted to it and having been caught on camera footage, which I did see :) thanks Payless towing, your name says so much about your business! If you wanna go from a small repair to needing a new vehicle entirely, be sure to give Payless towing a call and ask for David :) Update: even more news on David's wonderful work! In February of this year I had a flat tire on the freeway. They showed up and said it would be $110 to move me off of the freeway and change my tire. Then the employee never changed my tire and took me to pep boys to get a tire change (without me requesting it) and told me it would be the same price. After dropping off my car at pep boys, he called his boss and he said the charge would be $230 not $110. They completely blindsided me and I had no experience with this so I just paid the money. Beware - I needed a flat tire changed, called Payless Towing at random, and these predators took advantage of my lack of experience in the towing world. My first red flag should have been when I asked if they accepted my insurance. They said they'd provide a receipt, but filing a claim for reimbursement was on me. I found out later from my insurance agent that most towing companies simply bill insurance directly. The second red flag should have been when they required a credit card over the phone before they dispatched a truck. After giving them the payment information, and then waiting a very long time with nobody showing up, I was going to be so late to work that I figured I'd better just get someone to drive me to work and deal with the tire later. When I called back to cancel they said they would be charging me anyway. So I waited, and ended up being very late to work. The final surprise was when I did file the insurance claim, and my agent said the charges were three times industry standard. They warned me, as I warn every other unsuspecting potential customer, to never ever call Payless Towing again. read more

Do yourself a favor, choose THIS towing service ! Not only are they definitely low in price, they are the absolute highest in customer service. I needed to get my race car from Oxnard to Camarillo but had a very hectic day and was running late. I called at 3:30pm to beg for a flatbed tow truck to meet me at the garage at 4:00 pm and expected a hefty bill to get it done. No begging necessary and no hefty bill given!! The sweet lady on the phone was professional, cheery, helpful, accommodating and gave me a price that was honestly less than half of what I had expected to pay. The driver, a super cool older Hispanic gentleman, very calmly helped push the car out of the garage, loaded it carefully and off we went. When we got to our destination, he maneuvered that huge truck into the tightest spot you could imagine between a boat and an RV, backed up to my parking space and unloaded my car EXACTLY between the white lines. It was amazing!! It was a perfect ending to an otherwise extremely stressful day. I feel like calling them up soon to move the car again, just so I can talk to and spend time with them! Honestly.
