Just went here for my second cleaning and my wife goes here as well. The offices are bright, modern, and clean, and the staff is very helpful. I received two reminder calls about my appointment (one a couple of weeks out and one the day of). Went to this place and they still have to call me back. Told me I needed to get referred to a specialist that does root canals when on their website it says they perform root canals. The only bit they'd do is a porcelain crown which was too pricey. The doctor just came and went and didn't want to do a cleaning because he felt my mouth was "too sensitive" but it was a because he was already with a different patient. Bad first experience. I hate dentists, and basically anyone who accepts money for treatment. I was referred to this dentistry by Anacapa Dental (1 star horrible) because I have several broken teeth and had an infection 3 times under their treatment, paid $1200 wasn't told they were only going to clean the teeth that weren't infected, they did half my mouth then 2 months later did the other half. Anacapa only cares about money, even if you're so bad the infection could go into your throat or even worse, your brain. So they were going to refer me to one of their specialists, instead, I found Oxnard Dentistry where they accepted my medical insurance. They tell me what I need, how much it's going to cost and gave me all the options on how I wanted my treatment. I hate dentists and get very very nervous sitting in the chair. The dentist there assured me they'd do everything to my comfort level. Well when we made the appointment for extraction the following Monday, the dentist stops me and asks, why are you leaving? And I tell him " I would totally get this done today but I don't have the money and they said it would be due the time of treatment ", the dentist shakes his head and says "No, I can't let you leave like that. It's too infected, those teeth need to come out now". So I say "What about the payment?". "I don't care about the payment right now, we'll figure something out for you guys later, or you guys can make payments but I cannot let you leave like this, we're booked today but we'll fit you in somewhere". So I sit back down and 20 minutes later they take me in. He gives me multiple anesthetic injections to make sure I'd feel as little pain as possible. Get this, he says he's going to let the injections set for a bit then give me some more but in the meantime he wants me to have something in my stomach. So He asks one of his staff to take his credit card and go next to buy me a smoothie from blenders, he asks me what kind do I want, she goes and gets it. She even gave me a spoon.. just in case a straw might hurt me. They numb me again and they start to work on my lower right teeth, all of which have been broken down to the gumline and one cracked in half with gum growing over the open areas. He kept asking me about every 1 minute if I was doing okay. Some pressure and cracks later, 3 teeth removed from the bottom and an impacted wisdom tooth up top. It couldn't have been more painless and quick. 3 months at Anacapa Dentistry with an "as seen on tv" dentist, I got a cleaning and 3 infection flare-ups. The day I walk into Oxnard Dental I have all my problem teeth removed from my right side and I'm actually weirdly excited to have the left done next week. I haven't been able to get a job because of my teeth. Now I'll be able to in a couple of weeks. Thank you Oxnard Dental! And thank you for not offering people $50 off for people to Yelp you 5 stars before they even receive treatment as Anacapa does. I'm writing my review because this is the best dentist I've ever gone to. read more

THE WORST DENTIST OFFICE IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA. There are so many good reviews on here because they are doing free coffee for reviews but this office is the worst dentist I have ever been to. I went in for a cleaning and they told me I had 10 cavities and needed a crown and then proceeded to do the crown and half the cavities that day. I didn't think I had that many issues so I went and got 2 other opinions both doctors told me there was nothing wrong with my teeth I had no issues. They did all this work on me that I didn't even need. I went through so much pain for nothing. This is THE WORST DENTIST IVE EVER BEEN TO. I'm honestly just disgusted with the fact that they would lie to me and do procedures they knew I didn't need. I'm honestly traumatized from this experience. They took advantage of me and who knows how many others. I lost so much time and money that I can't get back and they don't care. I have never had a problem with a dentist before so I didn't even know fraud like this was a problem but now my lawyer is involved and I'm taking legal action so please be careful when choosing a dentist because this wasn't just a tiny mistake. Dr. Keihani is the best! My mom told me about this place and after claiming Dr. K is the best dentist she has gone to in her lifetime, I knew my husband and I had to go. My husband hasn't been to the dentist in years and was really nervous about being judged on how bad his teeth got throughout the years. Dr. Keihani is very non-judgemental and answered all our questions very throughly and professionally. The entire staff is very friendly and hard working. They all worked very hard to make sure we used all our dental benefits before the end of the year. With all the holidays and only two weeks left in the year, Dr.K managed to do 20 cavity fillings, 2 crowns, 5 teeth extractions, and a root canal between my husband and myself. I just had the best dentist's visit I've ever had!!! And, this is the best my smile has looked in 16 years!! From the first moment I called to make sure that they accepted my insurance, it was a great experience. Arianna was very kind and helpful assisting me with scheduling my appointment over the phone. When I walked in for my appointment, I was impressed with how hospitable and courteous Arianna was as she welcomed me to the office, walked me through the paperwork, and answered a question that I had. Next, Melissa kindly directed me to my room and did a wonderful job taking my full set of x-rays and making sure I was comfortable. She also did very well polishing and flossing my teeth, handling water/suction while the dentist worked, and setting me up for my follow up appointment. And last but not least, Dr. Michelle Shahisaman did an incredible job recommending what she felt would be best for my treatment, walking me through what would be done using pictures, doing the antibacterial irrigation cleaning, salt solution and filling repair, and explaining the regimen I would need to follow at home. I was very impressed with her recommending the antibacterial irrigation and salt solution to treat my gums (which also had the cool side benefit of removing stains/whitening my teeth) because none of my prior dentists had ever offered them as options, and, she did not pressure me to extract my wisdom teeth, which so many of my dentists in the past have. She simply asked if they bothered me, I said no, and she left it at that. :-) She was also very professional and, what I was most impressed with, was that she took great care to make sure I was comfortable through all the treatment. I've had cleanings where I wince through the pain almost the entire time, but not with Michelle. Her awesome level of skill ensured that I felt very very little to no pain. People who came after me where being seen first and when I asked the lady at the front desk she just said they'll call you right now. I am always skeptical when trying something new. I was immediately put at ease strolling into the state-of-the-art facility. Dr. Keihani and his staff were so kind, gentle and professional. They explained everything they proposed to do in detail. I feel like there was a level of commitment about doing excellent work, as opposed to being overly concerned about the business side. Absolutely fantastic dentist office. I brought my daughter in to get her wisdom teeth removed both sets. It's one of the more painful procedures to experience. I had visited 1 time prior and being the momma bear was hurt because my daughter hurt so bad. However, this time they ensured her comfort level and my daughter who normally fears the dentist, loves it here & we have scheduled several follow ups for different treatments. The office is not easily seen from Gonzales Street. You need to drive into the strip mall's parking lot in order to find the office. Once you find it, across from Wells Fargo Bank, you can see the sign, Oxnard Dentistry, posted high up. The interior is clean and modern, and the front office staff is very pleasant. A real joy, compared to some other offices I have visited. I had to wait much longer past my scheduled appointment time to receive my teeth cleaning, but it could be explained by the fact it was my first visit. I met Dr. Keihani, who is quite pleasant and gentle. A real pleasure. His assistant then cleaned my teeth. She explained the procedures she used so that I can gain a better understanding of what she was doing. Dr. Keihani and the assistant recommended additional products and services, but there was no pressure placed on me to purchase them. Overall, I am rating this service with five stars. Didn't go to the dentist for 7 years but I believe they took advantage of me since they gave me unnecessary fillings and crowns. When I got a second opinion I was told my two crowns shouldn't have been done since my VERY tiny cavities were barely forming. The second place took xray for me to show what Oxnard dentistry has done and it looked like a nightmare. They pointed out the many fillings they did that shouldnt have been done and my teeth are literally identical to the opposite side as if they lost track of which side they worked on! I stopped coming here after they nearly lost my "crown" by dropping it down my throat. What I got out of this was uneven crowns and sensitive teeth that prevents me from eating certain foods that I once enjoyed. I only came here for the great reviews so I think maybe I was just unlucky. read more

His office is brand new, completely immaculate and has all of the latest technology. It is an understatement to say that Dr. Keihani is a conservative dentist. He painlessly resolves any dental issue that comes up and has superb chair side manner to put my mind at ease. He saved my tooth and kept me from needing a root canal!!
