I've been a dedicated patient here for about a year and a half. The dentists & hygienists are always gentle and thorough with my teeth. I referred my boyfriend here and we both got $50 towards our accounts. He is also very happy with the care taken on two root canals he's received here. I have rheumatoid arthritis, and the doctor was very concerned for my first visit because I have TMJ and was unable to open my mouth. He really showed concern and for that reason I've always gone back here. I've had issues with the front office not calling me back in the past (about a year ago, they are very busy), but Andrea in the front is very kind and keeps her word. I never make reviews but I think its very important to do so this time. I was hopeful when I saw the 4 stars rating that this place would be good and trustworthy but I was wrong. My experience with them was horrible because they gave me a long list of dental work they recommended and it added up to about $3,000 then they added a "possible root canal" at the bottom without telling me. They also suggested other work and it would have added up to around $5,000-6,000. Something felt off with the Dentists approach, receptionists, and the overall service. They definitely made me feel scared and pressured to say yes to everything and it felt very pyramid scheme like. I ended up going to a trusted Dentist in Thousand Oaks instead and they went over everything on the list that Oxnard Dentistry provided and said that from their professional opinion I did not need any of it besides 3 fillings. I am so glad I trusted my gut and got another opinion from 2 other dentististries that said the same thing, only 3 fillings needed! I ended up saving about $4,000-5,000 dollars. My personal experience was not well and there is so much more to tell but I essen just want to say to please go elsewhere. read more

On two separate occasions they overbooked their appointments. On my last appointment I waited almost an hour between the waiting room and patient room and felt like I had been forgotten. This time I sat in the waiting room long enough to get irritated from my last experience. I have better things to do with my time than wait for my "appointment". Secondly, the Zoom Whitening treatment I paid $300 for was a terrible experience all around. Extremely uncomfortable, burned my gums and made my whole mouth feel like I got a sunburn only half way through the treatment. Instead of refunding me, they gave me extra whitening gel to take home which didn't provide the results I had hoped for. It's basically hydrogen peroxide like the strips I could have paid $20 for. I decided to cancel my appointment today after waiting in the lobby for ONLY 20 minutes this time, cut my losses and find another dentist with a little more professionalism. The absolute worst dental office. Don't waste your time coming here. Scheduled an appointment and they only did an initial exam took them 2 hours! Had to schedule another appointment to get a cleaning. When scheduling, I informed them I can come in at 12 but only have an hour lunch. I was told it wouldn't be a problem as their lunch is at 1. So I come in sit in the lobby for 30 minutes complain and finally get taken back only to wait another 20 minutes. Finally at 12:50 Dr. Rob comes in saying he won't have the time to do my cleaning by 1, obviously. Stated the hygienist still had another cleaning to perform before mine and he had a few things he was doing... He then directs me over to a dental assistant and informs me she would help me with the rescheduling. As we walk to the front desk I ask the dental assistant why didn't they just inform me in advance instead of wasting my time. She ignores me tells me the receptionist will help me and walks away. What an unprofessional Dentist and Assistant. I will give it to the receptionist upfront who was very professional and deserves the acknowledgment. read more

I've never felt so comfortable and calm at a Dentist as I do here. Dr Mayhor Cohen has been incredibly kind and patient; he has taken such great care of me through my first dental emergency, my first root canal as well as routine cleaning/care. He explains what he is doing/why, he really takes his time and I never feel rushed or like I'm inconveniencing them. (He is also great at that numbing shot--totally painless!!) I'm really grateful I stumbled across this Dental practice and I'm constantly telling friends about them. The office staff are all so nice and professional, it's easy to make appointments and things run so smoothly here. I love the text reminders for my appointments and they even have a financial/billing specialist who comes in and goes over things with you so you know what to expect. That is so helpful! First time visit here and I probably won't be back. I called to make a same day appointment for my wisdom tooth and really appreciated that I was able to go in that day. They took their ex rays and found that I needed some work, they gave me a breakdown of what it would all cost and was rounding up to 2k+ AFTER insurance... I would say that is rather expensive! Nonetheless, I was willing to get all the work done, but then they tell me the work is not done there, I have to be referred to two different specialists and they would call me back the following day after approval from my insurance... they didn't call me like they said they would, so I called and they apologized that they hadn't called my insurance... two weeks later, never heard from them .... unprofessional to not follow up with your clients read more

I would recommend this place to anyone but especially people with any dental anxiety/phobias. I was extremely scared to go to the dentist and ended up needing to get work done. They were able to take me same day for an appointment and to complete the work. They helped me work everything out with insurance and I feel like the pricing is fair. The office and waiting area are nice, clean and comfortable - you feel like you're at home. Dr. K and his assistants and receptionists are all very nice and caring. This dentist office has got to be the worst office I have ever heard of! My daughter has had a cracked tooth for weeks now and needed to get an extraction or route canal. First he said he wouldn't pull it because of her age (in her 20's) and that he wanted to do a route canal & cap it. She needed to get approval from Insurance, which was two weeks ago. He only gave Norco 5mg #7 for pain. Really? For a cracked tooth with a nerve exposed. Does anyone realize how much pain that is. She called many times asking for some kind of relief to no avail. They called & said Insurance would cover everything but the cap which is $800. Being out of work, she said let's just pull it. They said okay & made an appointment for today. She goes in today for an extraction & he goes in her room & says let's do the root canal. She told him no this appointment is for him to pull the tooth & he tells her his office doesn't do that or the root canal because he doesn't have the proper equipment! She will need to go to a specialist. Really? If that were true, why did he have her go through the whole Insurance process and be in pain all this time. She now has an appointment with the specialist for next week but will have to go through the process of approval all over again. I just don't understand why any dentist would put someone through all of this. So would I refer this dentist? HELL NO!!!! read more

Had to go in to a dentist ASAP after I felt some aching pain from not one tooth but two. I was getting a bit worried as it was becoming worst and worst within just a few day so I decided to look up a dentist and see what my options are. I can usually sustain pain and take some aspirin but this time I could feel something much deeper so I searched Google and Yelp and found Oxnard Dentistry. Read the 5 star reviews made an appointment. The front office manager, Vanessa, was super nice and I felt like she truly cared that I was in pain. As soon as I came in I was like, WOW, this place is so beautiful. Was hoping for a nice staff and received even better service than I've ever come across. The receptionist and staff were all on point and took care of me ASAP. As soon as they took an X-ray the Doctor said I had fractured both of my teeth. I truly couldn't believe it. Dr. Keihani is such a nice Dentist and went over some options that I had however, I went with extraction. I didn't even feel the injection. Angelic hands!!! This is a very clean friendly and effective office. The staff is very professional and also helpful in going over findings recommendations and options. They even will send text reminders for dental appointments and are diligent in rescheduling if needed. They can even go over options as to helping in becoming your Dental provider if needed, as they did with me. If there is anything bad to say, it would be parking availability. Dr. Keihani and his team were really patient and caring. I went in for some fillings and the team first injected me with anestesia. Shortly after, Dr. Keihani and his attendant worked on my fillings. i don't even know where to start with this review. I was assigned this dentist by my HMO plan. My first cleaning seemed so basic I couldn't believe they were finished. I talked to the dentist (Dr. Kohen) about my tmj and he kind of dismissed it saying i could go to LA but it would be pricey. The second time I went for a cleaning he told me I grinded down my teeth so much I needed a thick night guard but I would need to go to an Ortho. I thought that was strange because all my primary dentists have done night guards. I reminded him of our discussion. He asked "was it me you had this conversation with?" I said yes i think so (mind you he had a mask on and I had only seen him once). He said "do we all look the same to you?" I'm not sure if he was insinuating I was racist. He said I needed to get a crown on a tooth which was causing me zero pain. I came back to get it done and it was the most unpleasant dental experience of my life. He numbed me forever and it felt like a power drill in my mouth. I've had a lot of crowns and it has never been this uncomfortable. I went to the Ortho today and they were confused on why a dentist wouldn't do it themselves and they didn't specialize in nightguards. So I cancelled my insurance plan today and won't be going back to Oxnard dentistry. I am going back to my previous dentist who can definitely do a night guard. also the front office staff arrived about 1 minute before 9am which seemed unprofessional to me. They are not friendly or experienced. The referral to the ortho said "eval and treat" but didn't say for what and their summary of cost is all handwritten. And last but not least they seemed lax on Covid Protocols. I am very surprised by the 5 star ratings. read more

Had an appointment at 10:00 a.m. as a new patient. Arrived 10 minutes early to fill out paperwork. All my info was verified at the front desk by 10:05. By 10:30, the entire waiting room was filled. Not one patient had been called back for treatment. I asked if I should reschedule for a less busy day. I was told they had to prepare the room and it would be another 5 minutes. I left 10 minutes later having wasted 50 minutes of my life at a dentist office that clearly feels their time is more valuable than mine. I won't be back! read more

First time at this location, I loved how friendly they were and made me feel comfortable despite having pretty bad teeth. They made sure I was understanding everything they planned on doing. I enjoyed that they took the time to explain my xrays and where my teeth needed work, I'm a nerd and enjoy looking at those types of images.I'm also one who likes to know all my options so I really appreciated that they explained my options and what my insurance would cover and what I would have to pay out of pocket if I needed to. read more

The worst customer service! Highly unprofessional. Pamela the receptionist was unprofessional and desrepectful. I made an appointment for my daughter over a week ago for a wisdom tooth consult and when making that appointment I specifically told the receptionist that my daughter was leaving for New York the next day for college and we wanted to see how urgent her situation was . I provided my daughters insurance information at the time of the appointment and not until the morning she arrived did they inform her that she needs to be assigned to the dentist office in order to use her insurance. I asked why did you not inform us earlier, we have now wasted a week and she is leaving the next day. Pamela informed me that they do not check until the day before and supposedly they called yesterday afternoon. Neither my daughter nor I received any call. I said this was highly unprofessional and I was going to contact my insurance company and complain. Pamela respond "Go for it!!" I asked to speak to the manager and she said she's not here. I asked if she can have her call me and she responded"You can call her ." Never would I recommend this dentistry. If this is how the front office is run I can only imagine the unprofessional treatment that occurs once you painfully get passed this stage and deal with the doctors and assistants. read more

I came in for a cleaning and to get four fillings, which is never fun, but Dr. K and Melissa the assistant were amazingly efficient, thorough, and pleasant. If there was a way to make a trip to the dentist tolerable then this office has figured it out in spades. Also, the overall office looks really nice. Very disappointed. Due to Covid I moved to Lancaster, but i loved oxnard dentistry so much that i did not mind to request a day off from my job. Surprised when i got here, the front desk assistant said that i did not have an appointment with them. I called November 30th at 4:41 to schedule my appointment just to make sure i can get everything done before the renew of my insurance. I love this office. I had put off going to the dentist for a while due to to finances. I knew I needed work. I have worked in the field myself so I had the doctor show me my films and exactly what I needed. He was so nice and showed my films and where the decay was and we came up with a treatment plan. Maria the assistant who is my favorite, saw a lot of me and they were so nice. Finally I was able to finish it off with my cleaning. The hygienist was fabulous. She was thorough and not painful and gave me some great ideas to clean around an implant I have. I loved how everything was explained to me and everytime I went which, was a lot, we always joked around. I even fell asleep during my root canal. Best care ever hands down! I am a first time patient and I had a dental emergency, they accommodated me immediately, advised me of a long wait of which I didn't care, but when I got there I hardly waited. I was able to be accommodated for my root canal within a couple of days. The entire staff from the reception to the back office was super nice and friendly treated me with respect and dignity. The dentist was amazing, made sure everything was painless and efficient. The staff who assisted me, Esmeralda was amazing, made sure I was comfortable and was there for me for any questions.
