Doggies loving their private pup park. Daughter likes it too.

We are on our way back from Colorado, and we were leaking some kind of fluid and the rv started filling up with smoke. Super scary with the kids and dogs in back. Anyway, luckily we were close to Amarillo. We pulled into the Big Texan Steak Ranch and had some dinner and started brainstorming what to do. Overnight RV park was super close (Right on the east side at the loop 335 and i40 intersection) so we thought we'd give it a try. They answer their phone late, they were half the cost of the KOA, and the owner met us personally to check us in and help us get situated. She gave us the name of 3 mobile mechanics, one of which said he'd be over first thing in the morning to check it out. The place has great little fenced areas for the pups in the dog sites, and we were even able to let them roam leash free and play ball out on the back of the property, which was great as our pups love to run. They said they will be expanding and adding a pool and rec room In the near future. We will definitely be back.

This site was clean, well maintained and great customer service. Not too much street noise and close to freeway for easy off and on access. Would definitely recommend to weary travelers!!

Great place to stop! Easy in and out as all spots are pull through. Even have spots with private fenced pet areas!

Nice RV park in easy Amarillo. Nice sites and more-than-adequate pull-through sites. We're enjoying our time here a lot.

Our Cabin had a great view of the Slug Bug Ranch right outside our rear windows which was an added bonus. The staff was quite friendly & the manager even gave us a tour of one of the Chuckwagons for rent for our next stay. All in all we couldn't have been happier with our 2 night stay & I guarantee next time we find ourselves in Amarillo we will gladly book the Chuckwagon or the Cabins again!

By far the worst RV park I have ever been to!…read more Our RV was overheating so we decided to park in the vacant lot across the street from the park to allow the engine/transmission to cool. (There was zero signage in the lot. Only exposed power wires). I was then subsequently illegally blocked into the parking lot by a gentleman who claimed to be the owner of "Big Texan RV Ranch" Andy. The individual refused to identify himself further and repeatedly demanded money from me in the form of cash. Andy then phoned for a worker from the park to block me into the spot. The worker from "Big Texan RV Ranch" then parked his truck on my front bumper damaging it. I had my wife and two kids in the RV at the time. The police were called and the individuals were told to leave by the police or face legal consequences. If I could give less than one star I would. Horrible place, nasty owner who likes to commit felonies. Stay far away from here! I am 100% DAV. There is cave you see from the road, and if you want you can do a short hike to it. I wasn't on planning really hiking anywhere but this was short enough. Easy to get up, going down you have to be a lil careful. Good place for pictures too. Camping ground are available too. Anyways, if you're in town visiting or never have been there, I definitely recommend it!
