It's not one of those keep the kids occupied places which is not a feature I need. It has trees and other greenery and receptionist very friendly and helpful. Office closes at 5 but she takes calls until 10. I called her at 9 pm with a WiFi issue and she promptly took care of it. There is a laundry and a shower which I did not use but count that among important for me features. Hookups were fine and more area between spaces than you get at a lot of places. I'd stay here aga

Sites are well taken care of & clean. We didn't really notice the interstate noise, but one of the local military jets few over rocked our world. No cable, but we knew that from the start. You CANNOT walk into it from this campground. Everywhere you look are NO TRESSPASSING signs all along the thing, which is super annoying. I chose this place to take the dogs on a nice walk into the canyon but seeing these red NO TRESSPASSING signs everywhere killed it for me. We also hit a horrible snow and ice storm staying here. I had no idea it was going to get so cold. My water hose froze to the RV and the pump. I had to use a lighter and grit to get it unstuck. This was the first RV park I ever stayed at. The fact that we couldn't go into the canyon really killed it. The weather didn't help but I know it's not their fault.

They carried shirts, shot glasses, post cards, photos, and many other souvenirs all themed with the Cadillac Ranch. They even carried cans of spray paint to use at the Ranch. The woman at the register was very friendly and welcoming surrounded by plexiglass. She told me and the other guests if we liked their page on Facebook they would give us a free sticker! Of course I got my sticker! Next time I visit the Cadillac Ranch I'll be stopping here to pick up some souvenirs.

We stayed at Hudspeth House May 4-7, and absolutely loved it. We had originally booked the…read moreBluebonnet Room, but as it was a very quiet week, we got upgraded to the O'Keefe Room which was wonderful. The house is beautiful, the rooms were very clean, and the porch is just lovely with lots of seating. I loved the towels (nice and fluffy), the bed was really comfortable, and the home cooked breakfast was amazing. This is not a buffet of pre-cooked items - there is a menu posted on a blackboard, and you can choose from various egg dishes, french toast, etc., including a yogurt parfait with granola they make themselves (which was wonderful). And the coffee is awesome! The location is also great, it is an easy walk (about a quarter mile) to the center of town. The O'Keefe room specifically: large room, king size bed, a ceiling fan (which I loved having), a little table and two comfortable chairs, which was nice for relaxing, and a *huge* bathroom. There are a few things to note (for which I would probably take off half a star if yelp allowed that). - The wifi is pretty slow at times. We didn't have any trouble streaming video, but on and off as we were using our tablets for other things, we would run into issues. - The water pressure is terrible in the shower. That might just be because the house is so old, but it seems like there must be something they can do to increase the pressure at least a little. - The tv's are too small. I get most people probably don't go there to watch TV, but after a long day hiking in the canyon we needed to relax. Our room probably had the biggest TV of all (which isn't saying much) - I looked into the other rooms and they were about the size of a computer monitor. But, those were minor inconveniences, compared to staying in a wonderful, clean house with the perfect location. If and when we get back to Canyon, we would definitely stay there again.

Free breakfast every morning was delicious, as was the free Blue Bell ice cream every afternoon. Cabin has a small fridge, pod coffeemaker and complimentary pods (McDonald's), games, s'mores kit, flashlight (for nighttime trips to the bathroom), bug repellent, nice towels, and more, not to mention the comfortable beds. HVAC worked quietly and efficiently. Deck out front has BBQ pits and a fire pit along with rocking chairs and a hammock. ONLY complaint was that wasps kept swarming above our door every afternoon. Staff called park maintenance, who responded right away and sprayed. First day, ran out of spray and wasps returned. Second day, sprayed thoroughly and even climbed a ladder to knock down the nest. Yet they were back again the third day when maintenance doused everything in spray; could not sit outside after that and the wasps were still hanging around! That was the only blemish on an otherwise terrific experience.

Family of 6 and we took full advantage of the fridge, microwave, coffee maker (with all the supplies), propane grill and fire pit, nice covered porch with fun seating, plus so many fun games like corn hole and connect 4. There were even extra chairs to pull out when our family staying nearby came over for s'mores (supplies provided). LOVED that all extra bedding for the futon and towels and wash cloths were provided. There was also a bag of ice and jug of water included, plus bug spray, sunscreen, paper towels, hand sanitizer, hand soap, and sanitizer. We also took our 2 dogs and they enjoyed having the a/c and semi fenced yard which gave them a little boundary. The included ice cream and breakfast is yummy at the nearby Trading Post. We were in D and the walk to the bathroom was a little far, but manageable. If you have mobility issues or a tiny bladder, I would recommend trying for cabin A or B as they are closer to the Trading Post which has a bathroom you can use during their open hours and those cabins are also closer to the parking lot if you decide to drive to the nearby bathroom/shower area. The trail to the cabins is easily wheelchair friendly as it is well maintained and only one slight incline at the start. Another perk, to add to ALL the others, is the included wagon use which makes unloading a breeze. Seriously, this is a great place to stay and the views are breathtaking! The cabin is also beautifully decorated. Stay there, you won't regret it!! Yes, there is no bathroom (you can pay the $8 and use the camping toilet), but they are very upfront about that and it's not that big of a hassle unless you just want to be in your room the whole time. It was pricey, but with the added perks and benefit of being down in the canyon and near trails, we felt it was very fairly priced!
