Our Cabin had a great view of the Slug Bug Ranch right outside our rear windows which was an added bonus. The staff was quite friendly & the manager even gave us a tour of one of the Chuckwagons for rent for our next stay. All in all we couldn't have been happier with our 2 night stay & I guarantee next time we find ourselves in Amarillo we will gladly book the Chuckwagon or the Cabins again!

Very nearby is the "Bug Ranch" where you can spray paint VWs and a variety of other things. Across the street is another activity park. We did not go but looked fun. They also have 3 dog parks. It might've been a fluke but one had several messes that were not cleaned. Could've been a visitor but that's the only reason I didn't give them 5 stars. We called at midnight last night and somebody answered and said they had vacancy. We did not have this experience in the other campgrounds in Amarillo. In fact this is the only campground the answer their phone at all hours of the night. Other campgrounds didn't even have anything listed On their office showing vacancy spots or even a map of what they have open. Will definitely be stopping here again! The spot was $26/ night. The campground isn't fancy, but it's got great pull through sites with 30/50 amp power. We parked on the far left corner & had the best clear view of an open field. Very pretty, small trees. We paid the discounted passport America price, you just find your spot first, park, then walk over to the front office. You fill out an envelope with cash or check & put it in the slot. We didn't see anyone at the front office either of the two times we have camped here & that's just our style. They do offer free WiFi which wasn't too bad, except for peak hours. We loved staying here! I don't know if there are showers or laundry, because we live in our Motorhome & didn't need that anyways.

It also had private little yard and picnic tables and flowers . Owner came to make sure everything was working perfectly and helped me with my water hose . I didn't care if it wasn't within walking distance to restaurants . I felt as if I was in my own place with my private fence and yard . My dog also loved having her own little space . I plan to go and do some trails at Palo Duro . I am short distance from what I love . You should come out and check it out for yourself . I will definitely come back .

This place is one our kiddos would not stop talking about...especially because they have "tunnels" in almost every cabin! These tunnels are legit, too! They take you from the first floor to 2nd floor lofts, along a sturdy and architecturally sound structure that is well-built and carpeted for a clean path that leads to the 2nd floor and has lookout windows along the way. The tunnels are also lit. Wow, my kiddos were in for a big surprise when the owner said, "Enjoy it! Maybe you'll see a tunnel or two you can crawl through." We kind of thought he was joking in the beginning, and then we walked into the cabin. Wow! These are architecturally sound and so much fun for active kiddos! Aside from the tunnels, the granite kitchen counters and wood floors and nice amenities made this place somewhere we will stay again! Not shown is the bathroom with marble Shower in Juniper (that is handicap accessible), an upstairs loft with 2-double beds and downstairs bar eating area. It is absolutely lovely and clean! The Juniper and Mesquite cabins have a picturesque front porch that opens to the Canyon area and has views of aoudad sheep! Also, they have corn hole games and tic-tac-toe along with other fun games on property! Each unit comes with a grill or has access to one. I cannot recommend this location enough!

I am the single mom who brought her kids here to share the Mesquite room on October 9-10, 2022. This bed and breakfast is located in a somewhat remote area of Amarillo, Texas. The surrounding landscape is a bit reminiscent of Palo Duro Canyon - which is just a short drive away - but not in an extreme way that the Lone Star state park yields. The view from the hot tub at 7:30PM was amazing with a glorious display of sunset colors. Robes were provided behind the bathroom door. Near the pond on the old red, white, and blue amusement park ride chair, we found a walking stick. A friendly orange Tabby cat kept returning to our front door. My 8 and 9-year-old couldn't resist petting the stray feline. We weren't crazy about the continental breakfast which comprised of a cherry turnover, Yoplait yogurt, and Tropicana apple juice so we'll pass on that if we don't stay on a morning when they offer a hot meal. Just a couple of other cons: I leave to pick up pizza in town and someone takes my spot in front of our door. Lol. Also, my stupid Sprint/T-mobile coverage was terrible here. The other accomodations definitely overrode the somewhat lacking Monday morning breakfast: quiet neighborhood, calm weather, microwave, mini fridge, iron & board, lots of programs on the TV, free Wi-Fi, walk-in shower, and private gated area with code access.

We stayed in the Pinion. The positives. It's remote and really close to Palo Duro Canyon (18 minutes) That was nice. It's about 12 minutes from the Big Texan. It's in a pretty setting. The bed was comfy. We stay at B&B's because there is a level of expectation where hospitality takes over and you feel like you were being treated like royalty. This is not that place. It almost felt like our stay was a little bit of an inconvenience. The room is small and very dated, but covered in wood plank and not very clean. A lot of dust. This particular room did not have a shower and only a bath tub with the hot water trickles out. I'm not joking. It took about 30 minutes to fill the bathtub. Tip 1. Make sure to ask if the room you are booking has a shower if you're needing a shower for medical reasons or handicap accessibility. According to one of the reviews, and in their pictures, there appeared to be a nice shower in the mesquite, but we weren't given the chance to stay there. Once you get in the room, you're given two towels for the bath and two towels for the hot tub. I uncovered the hot tub to see that the water was very cloudy and it wasn't a result of the bubbles. So I put the cover right back on. They don't give you anything with respect to toiletries when it comes to soap or shampoo or lotions or bath bomb. So it really does feel like you're not being pampered. Bed And Breakfast should always feel like you're being pampered. And inside the room, you're not giving any type of bottled water, filtered water and so you rely on the bathroom sink in the bathroom tub. Which I thought was really bad. The outside of the room was covered in Pineneedles on the walkway, and so we tracked some into a room. When we were trying to get into the door, some even to get into the wheels of our suitcase. It was kind of annoying. The area is just really dated and not well kept. However, that does give it a very rustic feel and so if you're into that kind of thing that it may suit your fancy. It does have a really cute cat that keeps you company in the random deer that you will see from time to time. Overall, I'm sure it meets the needs of a specific clientele that would enjoy that atmosphere but when I go to a bed-and-breakfast, I consider myself to be high maintenance. So they certainly could meet the need a specific individuals however, it's not a place that I would really return to .

It's not much to look at and it took a long while for the tiny heater to make the room livable bit we survived the 19 degree night pretty well. The rooms are cheap and you get what you pay for. The place may seem a bit dicey, though it turned out to be safe enough and I'm glad we found it. All in all the place was better than a bigger chain we stayed with in Wichita Falls and was a lot lower in cost. Would we stay here again? Probably. That is if we ever had to come to Amarillo again, which I'd hope to never need to honestly. Last time I was through here I was 19 and it's not grown well in all those decades since.

Yes, it may be dated, but it offers a flat screen tv, microwave, minifridge, free WiFi and an extremely comfortable king size bed. Enjoyed our stay here very much. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The ice machine and coffee were in the office, but very good coffee for sure. Will be staying again the next time we pass through.
