Front desk attendant was rude and dismissive to me and the man checking in prior to me. Parking was scarce due to a lot of work vehicles. An extra security lock on the door would be great considering entrance to the rooms is from the outside. Beds only had 2 pillows each. Room was cleaning but very little lighting. There was only 1 ceiling light - a recessed spot light that was located by the door. Lamps were titled as if they were going to fall over. Shower head needs to be changed out. No complimentary items - shampoo, conditioner, body wash, makeup towelette, etc. The air conditioner worked but was slow to cool the room down. Breakfast - the boiled eggs may be an issue. My Husband ate one, felt it tasted old, and was sick after. They had the cutest waffle maker in the shape of Texas. Biscuits and gravy were fresh and refilled. 3 types of cereal, bagels and 2 flavors of yogurt. read more

This hotel was bad when I stayed the bed had stains on it and the shower was gross there were hairs in the shower and the floors were disgusting there were scuff marks all over it and it got my socks nasty also there is soooo much road noise it is also very dusty on the counters and tables read more

I have stayed here and it is nice but when I called and asked if I could just use the shower and bathroom area, not the bed because my plumbing was out and I was just so dirty and really just wanted to clean up. They wanted to charge me for the full day and would make no exceptions. read more

DO NOT stay here if you have any kind of disability or have special needs request, because they simply will not care or accommodate you. We booked in advance, put a request for a downstairs room and preferably one we could park in front of. My husband is disabled and cannot walk far distances and definitely cannot do stairs. They put us upstairs in the middle of the walkway. Not downstairs, not even near the stairs. Right in the middle so no matter where we parked we had to walk the farthest. I ask about our request and I was told no. I asked about canceling and was told we would still be charged. We live on a very fixed income and didn't have the means to pay for a different hotel since they were still charging us. So very disappointed in this property and will tell everyone to avoid it read more

Epitome of you get what you pay for. Check in was very easy. the Stayed for one night with our dog and the place was pretty noisy even with a room on the second floor--dogs barking, people locking cars and walking around at night, etc. My dog and I probably only got 4 hours of sleep. Towels had old stains on them and fridge was not working. For the price, we'd probably find another place to stay next time we're passing through. We needed a low budget hotel option on a cross country road trip. Considering the price, this place was perfect for that. Rooms are adequate. Super friendly staff checking in. We had a pretty good stay here. I was looking for a hotel on the inexpensive side so I could get 2 rooms to surprise my son and his friends after his birthday party at Cinergy. I feel like I know what to expect based on hotel price points. I wanted a "plain" looking smallish room because my goal was to decorate the room in his bday theme. And to get 2 rooms but stay in budget. Because that was what I was looking for, this was a decent stay. I called before to make sure I could check in early to get everything ready. I was told I could check in at 11am but it would be $25. I live 1.5 hours from Amarillo, so I drove early and arrived to Amarillo before noon. I called and was told that there were no rooms available and they all wouldn't be available until 2. At the exact time my son was supposed to arrive to see his surprise. Over the phone, there was no trying to help. It was just "that's the way it is." Even though that's not what I was told and if it was I would have chosen somewhere else. I had to change plans, change the timing for everyone, change the birthday party time at Cinergy (luckily they were super helpful) ... So I get to the hotel around 1. The young girl at the front desk was more pleasant in person than over the phone and was able to get me one of the rooms around 1. After being inconvenienced I don't think I should have had to pay $25 to open a room that was already ready, one hour early. But I didn't have time to argue. There were a good amount of people coming in and out and so it could have been very noisy and easy to complain, but we just joined them. Our kids played in the parking lot until around 8 or 9 and then we all went in our rooms and we slept peacefully without being woken up by noise. I never walk barefoot in a hotel room (rarely even in my own home), I don't use hotel toiletries, and I don't use the comforter - so I can't speak to those things. But the room felt clean otherwise. My only complaint was that it was HOT. Texas summer heat and an AC that didn't work but I couldn't call to complain because moving rooms wasn't an option after I had already decorated. read more

The reception and the outside area is really nice but the rooms are more like a motel, the gentleman at the front desk was really nice and welcoming. We are just spending the night and leaving early so it's fine but I personally wouldn't stay here again. The Good: *lobby and courtyard have a cute fun trendy vibe and are "Instagram worthy"...lol. *front desk personnel very nice/friendly *rooms are "tidy" looking The Bad: *barely slept 2 hours so noisy *you can hear every move the room above makes *right off the highway so you hear every car, truck, motorcycle coming and going and horns honking *area is shady and is across from a barely lit Super8 *it's an old motel "renovated" (but mostly it's just the lobby) *guest rooms do not reflect the cute chic lobby we were just in. The Ugly: *carpets are old nasty and appear to be from 1960's...brown stains all over like all over - so bad I put a towel down so my bare feet wouldn't touch *the room smell like a dank musty old janitors room that never goes away. *beds are "full size" not queen *mattresses are squeaky *rooms feel sticky Save your sleep and money!! Restroom and tub were backed up and whenever you flush the toilet water came out trough the tub. Several rooms complained but they would not switch rooms because of their policy. So we were left with out being able to shower or use the restroom to book at another hotel. read more

I almost gave 1 star cuz the front lady was very unfriendly, didn't smile. Room smelled musty although the bathroom is large and clean, TV didn't work. I remembered some reviews said TV didn't work. I regretted tht I should have booked Hilton Garden Inn where we stayed last time and it was really nice. My husband called front desk complaining about TV, and I was thinking "They are not going to do anything about it. Probably TVs in all rooms are not working." So we decided to go out for a dinner and go to bed early. Surprisingly, someone was in our room when we came back from dinner. That was a maintenance guy fixing our TV! He said someone stole a cable for TV. I was going to give a 3 stars for that quick fix, but now my husband is taking a shower and said there is barely hot water. We won't stay here again. read more

For $67 we didn't expect much, especially given some of the reviews. But those negative reviews are WRONG. Staff was sweet & friendly even at 2am. The room was clean and nicely done. The A/C was cold and it was clear that this non-smoking room really WAS nonsmoking. We had a car packed full & didn't really worry about its safety in the lot even. I REALLY wanted to love this place but there are quite a few cons. First and foremost, yes, the carpets are stained and disgusting. To mask the smell they put in a deodorizer which is not to be ran when people occupy the room yet it was still running when we arrived. The smell isn't all that great and I wouldn't suggest going barefoot. I would recommend pulling all carpets and switching to 100% hardwood/laminate if they wish to further host pets. Second, the property is not as glamorous as advertised; the property is a bit run down and maybe not as well kept as it could be. The rooms are fairly small also. There was no body wash in the container as it was never refilled in who knows how long? The tv in my dad's room was non operational. There was bird poop on the chairs in the courtyard and the turf for the pet relief could be better kept. For the most part, it's fine for a quick stay, but maybe look into something a bit more clean? The price is attractive though and its next to a fire station which makes it feel safe. The mural is pretty for sure and that would be the nicest feature! read more

Try to get a room on the second floor so you don't hear other guest's car beeps when they lock and unlcok their cars late at night. My boyfriend and I arrived at around 12am, it was a last minute check in ($123 on a Friday night holiday weekend) and the front desk attendant was a super friendly and helpful man. The room was clean with a fridge, microwave, iron, blow dryer, hot shower, TV, etc. and being a woman I also noticed the conditioner and shampoo were nice. The breakfast was your standard hotel breakfast, and today they had home made biscuits and gravy which was delicious. My boyfriend wanted more protein options, but I thought the texas waffle was so cute. The aesthetic is also fun and it isn't in a bad part of town. You can tell the owners and staff put a lot of work into keeping this place nice. We would definitely stay here again. read more

The rooms are clean and everything works, staff is super friendly, the breakfast is better than a basic continental breakfast, it's dog friendly and has an awesome courtyard with doggie bags. It's usually one if the least expensive places to stay and way better than the price. It's only slightly more expensive than a motel 6 but well worth it. I've stayed here 6 times and don't think I'll bother looking anywhere else when I visit. Highly recommend. read more

Booked on hotels.com. It's was nice a clean with a very modern look and feel. The bed was comfy and the room was clean. The blackout drapes were so nice! A full buffet breakfast instead of a grab and go. The staff was friendly. I'd recommend it if you're passing through Amarillo. Don't be fooled by the sign that makes you think it's a rundown hotel. This place was super cute on the outside and in the lobby! They both have a hip kind of feeling and decor, we got a picture in front of the Amarillo mural they had. The woman at the front desk was super sweet. You could definitely tell that the hotel is full of people on road trips and passing through, which is kind of cool. I would highly recommend this establishment. Such helpful, friendly staff willing to go the extra mile. Upon check in, staff provided two bags of dog biscuits for my two doggies and they also had chocolate chip cookies for all people. The rooms were clean and stocked with plenty of towels. When we first arrived, I was not too sure about the neighborhood, given the fact that there was a poorly lit Super 8 across the street and it was closer to the highway, however this hotel definitely impressed me. Clear that someone went to great lengths to upgrade and renovate this property, it was extremely well lit and had security cameras. Sure it's not a Four Seasons or a Hyatt Regency, but for the price this was pretty awesome. The lobby was bright, chic and cheerful. There was a super cute wall for IG photos. Our room was clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy, but it worked for us. The hotel staff was very friendly, Alicia was particularly warm and accommodating. She bakes cookies for the guests which are available at the front desk during her shift. We stayed here two nights and it was only $175 with AAA! Impressive considering many of the other hotels were a lot more than that. The breakfast could use a little adjustment, as there weren't any eggs, but otherwise there wasn't anything to complain about. read more
