They showed up on time and Mike made my wife feel very comfortable. ACW made the repairs even better than expected, did a little extra work at no additional charge, provided good recommendations for future work without being pushy, and cleaned up better than any contractors we've worked with, I believe it was a fair price for the job and I would highly recommended them.

Finally, a Cabinet Company That Actually Guides You…read more We found Kitchen Cabinets Express midway through our kitchen remodel after our original cabinet company left us frustrated. They were "yes people" -- agreeable on everything but never once offered guidance or pushed back when our ideas weren't practical. We needed a real partner, and that's exactly what we found here. Ammar was exceptional. He's a true expert and adviser who wasn't afraid to be honest with us. When some of our ideas weren't the most functional, he told us so -- and immediately came back with multiple alternatives that helped us land on a design that was both sleek and practical. One of the best decisions he guided us toward was using two different cabinet colors -- light gray for the perimeter cabinets and a warm dark wood for the island. The contrast is stunning and gives the kitchen a high-end, designer feel we never would have landed on without his input. The installation crew was equally impressive -- the fit and finish on every cabinet, drawer, and detail is top notch. The result speaks for itself. If you're considering a kitchen project, start with a consultation here. We'll absolutely be back for future projects.

KCE was recommended to us by a friend and I am SO glad we chose to work with them for our remodel!…read moreMy husband and I bought a house and the master bed/bath needed major work. We spoke with other contractors, but nobody had a vision for our space like Ammar did. He suggested designs, gave different options, and answered all of our questions along the way. We ended up having Ammar and team replace our roof and floor throughout the house as well. They offer a digital rendering of your space during the design presentation which absolutely helped us visualize the remodel. They also offer financing which was fantastic! The work is all so beautiful, I can't believe it's the same house. We will absolutely be working with them again in the future to renovate our kitchen!

An Architect's Review…read more As an architect, I work with contractors on a regular basis and needless to say, I was probably more particular than most when it came to choosing someone to work on my own home. Word of mouth and research led me to ARC / Armando... and I'm glad I went with him! From the beginning, communication was clear and straightforward. We went through the scope of work, my requirements and budget. I had some very basic drawings prepared to communicate my ideas. Along the way, Armando made suggestions to work with my requirements and budget. His pricing was reasonable and, most importantly, he completed the work within the budget we originally agreed upon. Anyone who has done a renovation before knows how easily costs can start creeping up once work begins. That was not my experience here. The scope and budget were established upfront and Armando stuck to them. And this was very important to me as I had no way of accommodating an increase in cost. The work was for a garage renovation, it included interior demo, replacement of an exterior window, addition of a new exterior door, vinyl wood flooring, drywall and installation of a new gypsum ceiling. Work progressed efficiently and to my expectations with no unnecessary delays. Communication throughout the project was excellent, and mostly Armando initiating the conversations to keep me updated. He was also very easy to work with on finishes and hardware. Some items I provided myself while others were sourced by him. Again, he made recommendations to work with my budget while not compromising on quality. Speaking of quality, the quality of the work was exceptional. It has now been over a year since the renovation was completed and everything still looks as good as the day it was finished. Absolutely zero complaints! His attention to detail was very much appreciated. He constantly made suggestions when he felt something could be improved. For example, he suggested a more random tile pattern for the vinyl floor instead of the more regular stagger I had proposed. We went with his suggestion and I am very pleased with it. Armando is knowledgeable, reliable and a pleasure to work with. Coming from someone who deals with contractors professionally all the time, I don't make that recommendation lightly. Definitely highly recommended and he will be my first call for future projects!

We recently worked with OC Builders Group, (particularly Sade, Mike, and Casandra) to build a ~323…read moresq. ft. attached ADU, and we couldn't be happier with the results. From the initial planning phases to the final inspection, the entire team was professional, transparent, and incredibly skilled. Maximizing a smaller footprint (around 320+ sq. ft.) requires smart design, and they nailed it. The craftsmanship is excellent, though the project was delayed (primarily because of additional nuanced city requirements), their communication throughout the construction process kept us at ease. Though not everything went smoothly, they appropriately addressed and rectified any issues that popped up during the construction process. If you are looking to build an ADU in the OC area, save yourself the headache and go with this team. We gladly recommend OC Builders to family and friends. We were incredibly satisfied throughout the build process and of course the results are beautiful, and will definitely go with this team again should another project come up. They deliver high-quality work and true professionalism!

After meeting with several contractors, we selected OC Builders since they offered the complete…read morepackage, provided a thorough outline of what was going to be done, and seemed quite capable handling our scope of work. In short, we had a good overall experience working with them and are happy with the end product. We would definitely work with OC Builders again as well as recommend them to our friends and family. Our Scope of Work (Whole house renovation): Remodel kitchen, bathrooms, added a powder room, took down a couple of walls, replaced all hot/cold water lines, new gas line for the kitchen, replace AC ducts, remove asbestos popcorn ceiling, added storage area to garage, new insulation in the ceiling, upgraded the electrical panel, installed new high efficiency windows, replaced all doors, replaced sliding doors to French doors, new LVF and tile flooring, remodeled the staircase, new landscaping (pavers and privacy wall) in backyard and around the property, new rain drainage, new drip irrigation lines, and complete interior/exterior paint. Working with the team: Sade, our main point of contact, initiated the process and stayed with us throughout the whole project (even when he was on vacation). He was easy to work with, responsive, and offered helpful suggestions for areas that needed troubleshooting. Due to the age of the house and lapse in maintenance there were a few change orders that were required but at each step Sade provided options and explanations, but never gave a hard sell. The work crew led by Robert and Eric did a good job getting all the work done. Both were easy to work, took the time to explained what was going to be done and answered any questions. Both were also quick to return any texts and kept the work moving forward. Quality of Work: We are pleased with the quality of work and final product. When a mistake happened or when something wasn't done correctly, didn't look right, or did not turn out how we wanted the team would repair or replace the item with no fuss. They cared about making sure things were done correctly and to the satisfaction of the customer. The weekly walkthroughs really helped address any problems/concerns early before they became larger problems. What we would've liked done better: Schedule Communication/Coordination was lacking at times. At a couple of stages in the project there was a lack of clear communication on timing of when certain tasks would begin so that various materials would be on order. We had to chase down answers when the schedule indicated one thing but speaking with the crew gave a different answer. We brought up our concerns with Sade who passed it along to the rest of the team and the issue was resolved. Then as the renovation neared completion there was an outstanding item that needed to be addressed and special parts needed to be ordered however we weren't informed of the delay so our initial expectation of when we would be able to start moving in had to be adjusted. A heads up would've been appreciated and allowed us to better accommodate our own schedule. Closing: From initial meeting to final signoff the total project took almost exactly one year. This is quite reasonable considering the scope, approving the drawing plans, meeting with designer/suppliers, pulling permits, demolition, asbestos removal, and actual renovation work (including all city inspections). The interior and exterior of the house look great. The backyard and landscaping look brand new and greatly improved. The home essentially feels like it had a refresh back to day 1 except more modern, efficient, and welcoming. We look forward to enjoying it for many years. Despite some issues that came up we would hire OC Builders again.

We just completed a 3 room remodel (kitchen/laundry/bathroom) and are super happy with the results. Permitted with our city. We had 2 walls removed to extend our galley kitchen, giving us more room and allowing the design to be more functional. Stripped down to the studs, insulation, fresh walls, tile flooring, custom cabinets, clean ceiling, electric, plumbing, the works. Sergio and his team helped us overcome a few hurdles and made our journey as smooth as possible. You know how some kids don't play well together? Well, OSH plays very well with others. Other who mess-up, other contractors, other's options. Sergio is always on your side for design, functionality and safety. When we had unique requests they did all the could to accommodate us. I discovered Sergio after I saw his incredible work/remodeling to the house next door to me. We arranged our first meeting whereby he bought his laptop, and provided numerous options and designs for my bathroom remodel. Fortunately, Sergio has great ideas and suggestions, making the process of decision making, ie. what materials to use, design options, etc. The process started right on cue, and the ETA for completion of 4-5 weeks was righty on the money! The guys that work for OSH are ALL exemplary, professional, prompt, and courteous! From the demolition guys, the carpenters, the electrician, the painter, the glass guys, I could not have asked for better! The thing that stands out for me, is the fact that these guys were consistently prompt, and did not skip a beat. Unlike most contractors, whereby days are missed, job gets delayed due to spreading themselves too thin with other jobs. None of that with Sergio, he was spot-on prompt with moving this job along as scheduled. My bathroom remodel also included a steam-shower installation, which took on extra diligence, but well worth it! This remodel has improved my home, as if it were a complete add-on to my house, considering I rarely used this guest bathroom (even though it is adjacent to my office). To all the Yelp audience reading this, trust me, you could not get a greater, more skilled and considerate Contractor than Sergio and OSH! I cannot recommend him enough, and I guarantee you will appreciate this review once you hire him. *** Take the time to review all of my photos that show the step-by-step process for this job! Also note that I used "single slab" porcelain, for my shower, versus individual tiling. This process was a much more challenging and labor intensive install, but well worth it, and Sergio's team pulled it off perfectly!!
