This skate shop has been here for about a decade now. The skate scene in Temecula isn't that big and there's not many skate shops in the area. The owner here is Woody and he's a cool guy who is just trying to help out the skate community. Here at the shop they have just about everything you want from decks, trucks, shoes, and apparel. The prices here are very fair and Woody is very knowledgeable. I don't skate any more but I still buy grip tape for other reasons. I heard about this shop from a friend and it's about a 25 minute drive for me to get there. Luckily I was in the area. It seemed small for the outside but they really have a lot inside. Luckily it wasn't super busy when I went on a Monday around noon. I was able to browse the whole place and I had started talking wit he the owner. Woody is a such a nice guy. We actually spoke for about an hour on all kinds of topics starting with items for sale, skating, and vegan food. Woody knows his stuff. He can help with whatever your needs are. I felt very welcome in his shop even though I don't look like your typical skater. His prices are pretty good. Competitive and reasonable. His boards are not overpriced and he is an advocate for supporting the skateboard companies. He won't sell you anything that is cheaply made. He will make sure you get the best for your buck. This Skateboarding shop has it all and they know their stuff. I came in to replace the inferior equipment sold to me from somewhere else. I asked for bushings, risers and hardware, they asked if I wanted soft, medium or hard ones. I wanted the hard ones(because I weigh a lot) they said cool and gave me exactly what I wanted. The customer service was great and they're willing to give you expert advice on how to make your ride smoother and better. Just depends on your style. Had a positive experience recently at this small but cool skate shop. Robert provided friendly, knowledgeable service after showing him my daughter's first skateboard--bought used elsewhere and apparently had inferior trucks and bearing. He replaced with a new truck set plus appropriate wheels, installed it free himself, for a reasonable price overall. Need anything skate related? Go see Woody at Overcast. A truly local and independent skate shop. We found the shop by driving by one night. We had heard about it but never actually visited. Very sad. Because the first time went in to visit, Woody was phenomenal! We went back a week later to get a new deck. He fit my son with the right size! Another "big box" shop never fitted him. Woody knew right away what sizes to offer. Woody also listens to the customer. Want more concave? Want a stiffer board? Thinking about changing wheel types? Not sure how stiff of truck bushings you need? He recommends components based on the skater's needs. Plus, he offers suggestions on how to improve. Went to another big box skate/surf shop in the area and they wanted to sell a complete set of foreign junk. Went to Overcast and they set up my 11-year-old son with a Deathwish board, Independent trucks, Bones wheels, and sweet airbrush grip tape out the door for $137. He got to pick EVERYTHING exactly liked HE wanted! No "complete sets only." They set up the board within 10 minutes and he was skating that afternoon.
