I was about to purchase 4 pair of converse shoes for my kids so that I could get 2 of them for half off only to be told at the register that the sale was not for the converse along with so many other shoes. I was like thats fine because I had a coupon that they sent that said if I spent so much I would get money off-well you guessed it, there are exceptions on much of their shoes which made the coupon invalid for the purchase, then we asked about a military discount not surprisingly they only give it for certain shoes (seems like none of the name brands). So they lure you into the store with false advertising and once you are ready to pay things change. There should be stiff penalties for deceptive practices like these.

I met Allie, who explained that while they don't participate in the split sizing program, they do offer a "corkscrew method", where the shoe is padded to fit the smaller foot. I was extremely hesitant at first, but Allie was very transparent and took the time to explain the method, my options, and what would work best for me given how the shoes would be used. We tried on several pairs and configured the padding so the shoes felt right, and she explained that I can come back if I needed further adjustments. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience, all at a very reasonable price. Allie provided great service, was knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful.

When I got there I was stopped at the door by an employee who said the store was to capacity. I told her I didn't want to go in, I was there to pick up shoes I ordered online. She said I would still have to wait. Shortly thereafter a customer came out and she told me I could stand in line. "No," I told her, "I would rather someone bring the shoes out to me." She said that I would have to go inside and wait in line. I said, "You don't have curbside?" She said, "We do but you need to pull your car up here and then call us and you will still have to wait for all these people in line." "Uh... I don't think so, but okay, what number do I call?" "You will have to wait for all of these people in line." That's when I was fed up. I raised my voice and said, "When I pull up, I don't know what number to call!" She then pointed to a sign inside the store propped up against the wall. I took a photo of it with my phone and as I started to leave she repeated, "You still have to wait for all of these people to be rung up first." I told her, "You are making something very simple very difficult for no reason." I went to my car, pulled up, called the number, a man answered the phone and in less than 5 minutes found my order and brought it to my car. --Thank you.
