John Bouffard fit me and was absolutely awesome. Super kind, chill, and easy to talk to, but also incredibly knowledgeable about the game, the swing, the numbers, and ball flight. He made the entire experience enjoyable. He was so good that I came back to him again for a full gapping session. Now I'll never waste time or money at boutique fitting shops again -- John is my guy from here on out, and he should be yours too. Thank you, John. You were awesome!

First off, keep in mind their return policy provides NO REFUNDS even on brand new, untouched…read morepurchases. Store credit only, no exceptions. "Customer service is our #1 priority." is written in all responses to negative reviews. Meanwhile, Roger Dunn completely disregards treating you with class and equity regardless of background. I'll echo the same sentiments from many other visitors. I walked in ready to purchase one of their $500-$650 zero-torque putters without delay considering the club fitting "experience" they promote and a tee time the next morning. I presume because I don't fit their profile, I was dismissed--no assistance, recommendations, or pre-purchase service. In the putting area, I asked to remove the wrapper on a demo I was about to buy (only variant left) to ensure no blemishes or differences in feel. An older man denied my request even though half the other putters were unwrapped. I asked what the difference is if they advertise a 90-day satisfaction policy. "Not on L.A.B.s." was the terse response without clarification. The venue is said to have a knowledgeable staff but they all seemed like grumpy mutes. The simulators and hitting bays were largely unused and many staff had nothing to do. Yet after being ignored for nearly three hours, they were suddenly busy and rushed me out as closing time approached. Toward the end, a young lady said I have to pay $150 if I wanted any club selection service before my purchase. Nope, the store was just closing. I ended up just buying the TaylorMade Spider 5K-ZT putter (as there were unwrapped models to test). The only employee that had any semblance of courtesy was the Asian cashier. If you're a serious golfer or expect a proper fitting before spending real money, skip this location. As demonstrated, Roger Dunn doesn't take action to rectify complaints. From my experience: 1. PGA Superstore in Irvine have an excellent staff, demo freedom, and open fittings. 2. Club Champion in Santa Ana have data-driven putter fittings and true customization. 3. Golf Galaxy in Tustin have great service, variety, and honest engagement. I spent over $5k here between 2007-2008 but no more. Golf should be about precision and respect--both are bankrupt at Roger Dunn Santa Ana.

I had one of the best retail experiences I can remember, and honestly, it started somewhere else…read more I was at Dick's Sporting Goods looking for running shoes for my daughter when I wandered over to the golf section to check out drivers. One of the employees came up and asked if I needed help. I asked a basic question about why some drivers were more expensive than others, and the answer I got was pretty surface-level--basically, "they're newer and have better technology." He offered to let me swing a few, which I did, but then he surprised me by saying, "You might be better off going next door to Roger Dunn Golf Shops." I thought that was weird for one store to be sending me to a competitor... Did I smell? I took his advice, and I'm really glad I did. At Roger Dunn, the experience was on a completely different level. I got fully fitted for clubs using real data--club speed, ball speed, spin rate, trajectory, distance--the whole deal. They had the equipment to actually measure everything and dial in what worked best for my joke of a swing. I was able to try multiple clubs at a variety of prices and compare them side by side in a way and with data that made sense. What really stood out was the time and attention I got. The guy helping me didn't rush, didn't push, and gave genuinely helpful advice the entire time. In a retail world where customer experience often feels like an afterthought, this was the exact opposite. I walked out with a driver that felt right, cost way more than I was intending on spending and more importantly, confidence that I made the right choice. I won't be buying golf stuff anywhere else. Huge thank you to the guy who proved to me with technology, patience, a passion for the game and great communication that you can play as well as you want, as long as you're ready to swipe your card. top notch!

I'll literally place an order at Albertacos, waltz my way over here to "kill some time". Otherwise, this place is awesome haha the staff is usually friendly and helpful if you ask for it. You walk in and are immediately in reach of golf shoes and bags.. maybe time for an upgrade. Continue through to the golf apparel and gear. Balls, gloves, clubs, bags, hats, club fittings, etc they have it all here. They also service clubs here whether you need new grips or shafts. I had one of my wedges regripped, it was done on the spot in about 30 seconds FLAT and has held up perfectly. I'll have to get a picture of the pricing for service next time but I brought my buddy and he got 1 putter, 2 irons, and 2 wedges regripped for about $70 with a 2-day turnaround time. Not sure why it took that long when they did mine on the spot while we were there together.

Naturally, the guys at the counter were busy so I looked through the glass display to see if they have the echelon in stock. Sure enough, they have it. I then check their ammo selection so I can tell him exactly what I want. So I pull a number then hop in the ammo line. Shortly after, a lady comes up to the counter and waited a couple minutes. When she realized she needed to be in another line for ammo, she then goes behind me in line. Then when the clerk was ready to take the next person, he just assumes that the lady that was behind me was next or waited the longest. He says to her "you're next, I can help you". So I walked out. I'm not in the mood to try to advocate myself when I'm visibly next in line, and actively watched the lady walk up to the counter. There's other places such as Turner's and Ammo Bros wouldn't just assume and ignore someone standing in front of them. I understand the process itself takes a little bit of time, but skipping a person that's next in line is not what I'm willing to wait for, let alone be ignored. I'd rather go out of my way (Turners and Ammo Bros) if it means I at least get acknowledged that I'm there. Not coming back anytime soon.
