Like others I live off of reviews so giving you guys the raw version for all my over protective pet…read moreparents like myself. This review is only based off of my experience/ first impressions and this business may work amazingly for your dog! Once I found Walk ATX it took me a while to get in contact with someone, called a couple times, left a voicemail, sent a couple emails -to no avail! Sent a dm on insta as a last resort and finally got in contact with someone! Yay! Erika helped me set up my account and went over daycare. Dropped my pup off for his first day! First impressions matter to me and as someone who is nervous I would have loved to see them greet my dog. Instead the woman at the front ( not sure her name - mullet - immediately went into a quick " take off the leash. What's his name? You'll get an update at 11" And then I watched her usher him straight to the backyard. No saying hi to the dog, no convo with me, no easing his nerves, no questions about him, no petting him, no introductions, nothing. I didn't love that, especially since it was our first time and it made me much more nervous to drop him off there. Around 11:00 I started to look for updates, none. Tried to call 3 times, no answer. Again this is his first day so not hearing anything on how he was doing and getting no photos - nerves then rose to an all time high. People are allowed to have bad days so will update this after a few more times. Just know the first day is not as informative or warm may not be as warm as you'd expect.

It is difficult to find a doggy boarding/day care that provides such well rounded, holistic approach to pet care. We have used Walk ATX for boarding, day camp with pick up and drop off included, and for in home check ins with walks. As well as their add-ons like baths and fun photoshoots. Mo is a party animal - we are constantly training, working with him and we fill all of his needs. Yet he is an energetic, happy 2.5yo rescue from Austin Pets Alive. He is a foster win actually. He's always soooo excited when he realizes he's about to get dropped off at Walk ATX and he's welcomed with big smiles and a huge "Hi Mo!!!!!" by the passionate and hard working staff. Walk ATX does pack walks, outdoor playtime in their yard with staff assigned to different groups of dogs. I love that there's constant supervision and a structured day. Including rest/down time, which is just as important as to not overstimulate the doggos. It seems as if Walk ATX has only gotten better over the years. They've incorporated training, special add-ons, and cool adventures. Last time Mo stayed with them while we were in Costa Rica, Britton and the team were super attentive (Mo was on limited activity for the first few days per our vet), and even called to give an update, in addition to their daily updates via email and on their app "Time to Pet". I know Mo is cared for and looked after by a group of caring animal lovers.

They no longer send photos to us as proof of walk and validation our dogs are happy. Rather than send photos to the owners, they take photos which are relayed back to corporate. I'm to believe this change is somehow beneficial to me? They have stated they no longer have the capacity to manually relay photos to clients, but ARE able to manually relay photos to corporation. A tad counterintuitive and certainly not focused on customer. They've also stated having a lock box at my house makes me more secure because they no longer hold onto keys. Sure, unless someone takes the box, their employees access my house after hours, etc...It's the same situation as before except more people have access to my keys than before. OH, and every update they give us online are EXACTLY the same day after day after day. Clearly, my dogs do not pee and poop the same number of times weeks in a row. They continue to insist clients love all their changes and fail to acknowledge any decrease in service as a result. It's "my perception," which clearly doesn't matter and is dismissed as a minority view rather than at all validated. What was once a good business has taken a hit. UPDATE: NO phone calls. No responses from the Dog Butlers. Having now talked to friends, found out they've dropped Austin Dog Butler.

Their service is extremely efficient and the care the give your animal is top-quality. When you sign up,their team makes an initial visit for your dog to become acquainted with their new walker. Halfway through the year, the individual walking my dog changed and the process went very smoothly (the old walker even introduced the new walker to my dog so he would have a familiar face for the first introduction). I could not be more pleased with the service from Austin Dog Butler.

I'm a first time dog mom and am very worried person - I totally trust Ken Walks Dogs. Honestly, book him just for the professional style photos and videos! Keep coming back for the joy he brings your pup.

I loved these days because when she came back, I knew that she had enjoyed hanging out with other pups and getting to walk in some of Austin's beautiful parks. PLEASE ask your pet sitters to bathe themselves during extended stays. Even if they are not comfortable doing so in the home they stayed in, it is gross coming home to and should be a given. Also- I have a side eye for the nail scuff marks behind my bf's bedpost on his wall. He and I surely didn't do that and the entire bed was about 8-10 inches from normal placement. Last stay it was as if teens had a party in the house. (it didn't happen, but that was the disaray we came back to). Floors were smeared with streaks, and crumbs all over as if toddlers took over and spilled sticky juice and left diapers inside. It was just GROSS. We left the house pristine before leaving and it was completely disheveled upon return. This time, it stank less; still had a funk... but only one day of airing out, thank god. But the return of the house condition should almost face its own cleaning charge. My bf is too scared to speak up, so I'm saying it. Get this shit right. Talk to your pet sitters. WE KNOW what goes on, its our home! PetGals need to both tell sitters NOT have company over (be it toddler/nieces/nephews/boyfriends/husbands). Regardless if owner gives the ok. How do we say on the flip side.. "um, I know I said you can have company, but you trashed my place and cost me more time and money for cleanup- so I take it back". We CAN'T. And for the love of God, make them BATHE once per 1-2 days. I don't want to embarass the person, but I'm sure she can gather as much.

I used to love The Pet Gal. Used them for 5 years with no issues. Loved them. However, no longer. I…read morerecently got back from a week-long vacation which I contracted with The Pet Gal for my two dogs and one kitty. Once we landed, I saw a message from The Pet Gal letting me know that the person they sent to my house (someone that has been there a few times prior) was now scared of my dog and felt unsafe. OK, I get that. She's a big dog and when she's scared, she barks. However, instead of finding someone else who works for The Pet Gal to watch my pets, they just cancelled my entire account and sent a text letting me know that they would not be watching my pets for the week I was out of town. So, picture this...I'm out of town, in a different time zone, and confident my fur babies are being cared for by a company I've used for FIVE YEARS. But no. I find out that NO ONE is able to care for them and I'm on my own to find someone to help. That was not an excellent way to start my vacation. I was incredibly stressed and about to cancel the vacay and come home. But luckily, I have a friend that stepped up to help (and gathered some other people to help as well) after I woke them up because of the time difference. None of them had met my pets before, but they watched them, played with them, fed them, and loved them. Did my big dog bark at them? Yes. Because she was scared of them. Did they offer her treats to calm her down? Yes they did and she did calm down. She has NEVER harmed a human. Never come close to it. She's a big teddy bear and a big scaredy cat. I guess I underestimated how poorly the Pet Gal's people are trained. How can you run a pet sitting business when your sitters are afraid of animals? Do they not get any calming training? Do you not understand the difference between an aggressive bark and a scared one? Obviously not. Anyway, I wrote a glowing review for them a while back. I retract that now and will never recommend this company ever again. Don't chance going through what I did. I was so stressed basically the entire vacation because I was scared for my pets being left alone. Do not trust the Pet Gal. You cannot leave your babies with them. PS: they also had to shame me because one my bedrooms is currently full of boxes. Sorry Pet Gal, but my mom died and I had to store some of her stuff at my house temporarily. Sorry my dead mother's things offended you so much.
