Additionally, the app makes online booking quick and easy. And...we LOVE the "real-time" updates, photos, videos, & notes. We are very selective pet parents and have high expectations of those providing care for our canine kids. Jennifer has exceeded those expectations and as a result we can leave Ruger & Remi and be at peace knowing they're in Jennifer's very capable hands. I encourage anyone "shopping" for a pet caregiver to try Jennifer. You'll not need to search further.

Lotus Canine is amazing! I can't say enough good things about Jen and her services…read more I've been working with Lotus, which is run by Jen, for about two months and started because my schedule changed at work and I was no longer able to let my dogs out at lunch. Jen came highly recommended by a close friend who knew Jen from her work with a local shelter. What I signed up for was a great dog walker. What I got was that and so much more! My dogs are a bit neurotic, I must admit. They dislike bikes, squirrels, cats and other dogs. I was a nervous have someone else walk them but I was very reassured by Jen's experience with difficult dogs. She met with me and met my pups beforehand as well to make sure it was a good fit. To say hiring Jen and Lotus to help me with my dogs was one of the best things I ever did for them may sound like an exaggeration, but it is not. They are so happy when I get home and are much, much better on leash now and are less reactive on walks. Jen also basically crate trained one of my dogs, who previously hated his crate! Now I catch him hanging out in there on his own. I can't recommend Jen enough. What you get with her services is not only dog walking but someone who truly cares about your pups. Plus her billing is easy and straightforward. I even get photos of my dogs from each visit :) In short, my dogs are more happy at the end of the day because of her!

If you're looking for a reputable dog walker, steer clear of The Smiling Dog! During my first…read moremeeting with Sara, she seemed to bond immediately with our puppy and assured us how devoted she would be. We discussed expectations and I thought everything would go smoothly. The first red flag was her lack of communication. Seeing as we have a puppy, we wanted to know how each visit went, specifically whether he peed/pooped. Once we gently reminded her, she began leaving notes that would occasionally be helpful, but mostly just noted how the weather was, how cute he was, how fast he's growing etc. Not exactly what we were interested in. The first MAJOR problem was when we had a friend at the house who let us know Sara arrived nearly an hour late, and only had him out for 25 minutes when we were paying her for an HOUR. Given the fact we have a puppy, timing is very important to us since he can't hold it for that long. She never notified us of a delay or the short visit, and wouldn't have refunded us if our friend hadn't been home to report the problem. Even worse, I texted her at 3:15p to ensure everything was going smoothly, to which she replied yes. Only to find out later she hadn't even arrived until 3:50p. NOT OK. After discussing these issues and spelling out what is ok, and what is not ok (blows my mind we even needed to do this) we gave her the benefit of the doubt and continued to work with her since she seemed eager to make things right. Less than a week later, my boyfriend was home sleeping, unbeknownst to Sara. She had left the note about how the walk went PRIOR to even taking him outside, and not locked the door on her way out. He then witnessed her take our puppy into the sandwich shop below our building for 15 minutes and then bring him back to the apartment. This is horrible treatment for any dog, but especially a puppy we are trying to potty train! If she does not walk him outside, she's just reinforcing that he go to the bathroom inside. So terrible! When we confronted her, she said "my schedule is dictated by customer requests and schedule changes." She went onto explain that when she has cancellations, she can walk him for longer, but if she gets additional last minute bookings, his walks get cut short. WHAT?! In what world do last minute requests trump prior bookings? THAT IS NOT WHAT WE AGREED ON BY ANY MEANS. Our puppy should be getting DAILY walks from 3-4p. If her schedule is slow and she can have him out longer, great. However, that does not mean that she can cut into our reserved time to make some more cash. ABSOLUTELY NOT. I will NEVER work with The Smiling Dog again or recommend them to any dog owners.

She's the same sweet, curious dog that she's always been but has great on and off leash skills now and listens to all commands. It was less-than-enjoyable for me to bring my puppy to public places prior to training with Cat as she was excited/jumpy/hyper, but now she's the perfect pup to bring out in public. She's still excited and engaged but listens to me, stays/sits/lays on command and generally is very well mannered. I continue to board my dog with Cat when I go on vacations as I trust her and feel very safe leaving my pup with her. Thanks for everything Cat!!

She posted pictures of them on her Facebook page and I could tell they were having a blast just goofing around in her large yard, getting plenty of exercise. One of my dogs is especially shy and nervous about new things but Catherine is also a dog trainer, so she knew how to handle her and make her feel at ease. The place was clean and organized. The price was also very reasonable. My dogs weigh about 40-45lbs each and they could fit very comfortably in the same kennel, which was easier on my wallet. I wish I had found Catherine sooner but from now on, this will be my go-to place for my dog boarding needs!

More than 10 occasions, including one where we were travelling in Europe for two full weeks. We have two geriatric pets (one dog, one cat) and they require more specific care due to age-related health issues. On top of that, our dog is socially reactive so we needed to find a professional who could administer medications as needed and also manage our Pup's grumpy personality. I am happy to report that Ashley has not only checked those boxes consistently, but she has also gone above and beyond to be helpful on the occasions where we had pet-related health issues when we were out of town. We can rest easy any time we travel knowing that Ashley is taking exceptional care of our pet family. 10/10, would highly recommend.
