Small, cozy coffee shop. All the locals know each other and the cashier even memorizes their "regular" order. Love that. I also loved the variety of their menu. I ordered the matcha-mallow after reading a few reviews about it. I didn't quite taste the marshmallow but the matcha was better than other matcha lattes I've had that aren't in big city centers. I make my own matcha lattes at home and try to source my matcha from Japan directly, so maybe my palette is a bit more versed in matcha. However! I'd still recommend a visit to this shop! If I could I'd go back to try their seasonal sesame matcha latte. We also got the bacon burrito. Shared between my bf and I and it was the perfect portion to get us going for our hike. Also don't expect quick service, especially if you're rushing to get to the trailhead or into Olympic. We spent about 20 minutes here from order to receiving our order to go.

I love an authentic coffee roaster with a very safe vibe for women and lgbtqis+ folx. The staff are so pleasant and I appreciate that I could get a lovely bag of fresh roasted coffee (roasted today) to bring back as a gift for my partner when I get back from my trip. The bathrooms were lovely and had really good fun information about services and businesses nearby

Found this gem right near the Edmonds-Kingston Ferry. I asked for a spicy chai tea latte, and they asked if I would like cayenne in it. Yes, please! It was excellent! My wife got the churro donut and sausage-potato quiche. She loved the quiche. Haven't tried the donut yet. I got a chorizo champ burrito. It was piping hot the entire time I ate it. Delicious! Nice character (including some tiny acrylics on canvas for sale). Try it out!

The entrance .... Very chill place.

I had a really relaxed and chill feeling going into this place. The Ambiance was awesome. The gals who were helping me with my coffee choices were really friendly and patient. Very friendly staff. As for the coffee, it was great! I actually have no idea what was recommended but I said I would try it..:... and it was perfect. I would totally recommend this place if anyone is in the area.

Where all the cool kids go. Seriously, if you're looking for a hip new hole-in-the-wall coffee joint, this is your place. They have unique options for everyone. I wish I could have tried more of the menu.

The view from the front window of the street side. So quaint!

This is a very new cafe in Kingston. I had an inkling before that was confirmed because of the lack of Yelp reviews. I knew I must help remedy this! Joann is one of the owners and the fabulous woman who catered to us. We chatted a bit about the story of how Over the Moon came to be, and she was just a delight to interact with. The menu board was not up so she named off some options. She also recommended our mocha to have toasted marshmallow instead of vanilla as a precious patron requested this and she found it a splendid idea! It was so cute... and tasted great! We got a 12oz hot chai with soy that I really enjoyed, and I'm kind of a chai snob, as well as a 16oz specialized mocha and sammies. I honestly don't remember our total but it was somewhere in the 20's and I do remember thinking it sounded about right. Conveniently located directly before (or after depending on which way you're going) the ferry terminal so you have no excuse whatsoever to miss it! I wish Joann the absolute best with her business and plan to visit next time we venture over that way. :)

Nice vibe inside with a good amount of seating. Extra sets outside as well. Baked goods were delicious. Great latte.

The only thing I ordered was a cappuccino and it unfortunately tasted like tar. I ended up throwing it away. Waste of money.

Steve got a chicken sandwich that was good. I got a hamburger with kimchi. It was excellent but I forgot the name of the burger. I saw a pork sandwich option on the menu that had kimchi but that wasn't the same thing... so just read the menu carefully if what I had sounds good. There are lots of options to pick from so take your time. We also split an order of French Fries which were great! For our sweet tooth we got an Amaretto Milkshake and it was excellent! We really enjoyed this one! It was non-alcoholic and we got this particular one because this was a flavor one doesn't usually associate with milkshake options. We are so glad that we got to try it! The Grub Hut is very, very popular or at least it was when we were there and there was a small line to place our order, very little room to sit and the wait time to get our food was about 25 minutes. We didn't think that was too bad and we thought it was "johnny on the spot" timing at work to tell us that at the time that the order was placed. And I suppose they have it down to an art and need to give out times like this as this restaurant is right by the ferry terminal and Kingston so I imagine a lot of people who are using the ferry need that kind of information to plan accordingly with their meals and arrival/departure times with the ferry.

This place meets all the criteria. Their pasta dishes and salads are fantastic as well. It's the only place we go for pizza. So why the 3 stars? The service. No one there seems to be in charge. If there is an issue, the employees just pass the buck. Tonight, the heating system was blowing cold air conditioning. Not only us, but several of the patrons there were noticeably cold. We were not the only ones that relocated to a table that wasn't in the direct path of the mini split units. It was 51degrees outside on a cloudy wet day, no reason for the AC to be running. When we asked to have the heat turned up we were told that the owner was the only one that knows how to operate the units. We overheard another staff member tell a customer that they weren't allowed to touch it. Either way, both responses are unacceptable. This is just one example. We have been seated next to a bussing area, dirty glassware literally being stacked next to my wife while seated at the bar. Slow table service is the norm as well. Tables are often missing the necessary silverware, food delivered without plates. Easy stuff to clean up if there was good management. But alas. The beverages (or lack thereof). They have a few beers on tap. Some wine. 40 feet of shelving at the bar and about 8 bottles sitting on them, just the few they need to make their signature cocktails. Nothing else. We actually like to avoid alcohol these days. But here that means we are having ice tea or soda. I ask about N/A beer and they offer Ginger beer. Really? Pretty sad considering all the fine N/A options out there today. It seems this place is riding solely on the reputation of the owner, who teaches at the NW pizza academy (or something like that) and won a prestigious award in Rome. Nice accolades to be sure. But they don't translate well to operating a restaurant and it shows. If you are looking for possibly the best pizza you've had in a long while, or maybe ever, by all means stop by and enjoy. But if you are looking for a quality experience dining out that doesn't disappoint you may want to move on to another spot.

Although there could have been a little more chicken, all the flavors were well-balanced and worked beautifully together. I especially enjoyed the addition of feta. The crust had an amazing sourdough flavor. I love that they use such an old sourdough starter and follow a five-day process--it really shows in the taste and texture. The pizza is also a great size and could easily feed four hungry people, or up to six people with smaller appetites. I visited on a Saturday and waited about 30 minutes for my takeout order, but that was understandable since the pizzas are made to order. The cashier was very friendly while taking my order. My boyfriend and I had our dog with us, so we brought the pizza to a nearby park with a gazebo and table, where we enjoyed a beautiful water view. The restaurant is conveniently located near the entrance to the Kingston ferry. It's no surprise that the chef has received awards for his pizza. I highly recommend this place and can't wait to return specifically for trying his other pizzas!

First their baked goods are stodgy and not properly executed. Their shortbread tastes like cardboard and is nothing like English shortbread should be. No good butter in evidence here. Their koign amman is not even crisp on the outside. There is something off with each baked item. If you enjoy dump and go style baking that don't require any refinement but are full of American sugar, I think you will feel this is an elite bakery. Otherwise, this is a bad knock off attempt. Scones seem to be chewy and tasteless. I got a "lemon poppyseed" polenta cake where there was no lemon-y flavor at all! It was also heavy and couldn't handle more than 3 bites at a time. Stuck in the gullet. Second their service is appalling. The people behind the counter are all in on some inside ball game and customer service is not their emphasis. They are looking away while half-heartedly asking you what you would like, and more interested in serving up verbal repartees to their co-workers while distractedly trying to complete a sale. You can expect to repeat your order a few times. Then there's the off-handed use of bakery tissue which is not quite neat and hygienic. I mean it's a shambolic operation that gets away with it because there is no competition in Kingston unless you take the ferry across to Edmonds.
