Over the Moon Coffee Roasters is definitely the best coffee shop in Kingston! This shop has a cozy feel while displaying local arts and crafts. As for food, I order the bacon breakfast burrito. This burrito was very large and had hatch chiles peppers, eggs, potatoes, cheese and bacon accompanied by a side of salsa. I thought there was great combination of heat between the salsa and the hatch chile peppers. I also got a chai latte, which had a cinnamon housemade chai. It was very good if you like chai. I was disappointed that when I came in their pastry case had only 2 scones (pretty much empty for a Monday Morning) so beware that they might not have baked goods if you visit. The location is very convenient though. Due to the close proximity to the ferry station, this also easy to grab a quick bite before hopping on. read more

This is a very cute and cozy local coffee shop. I love the ambiance, especially all the local art displayed on the walls. There's plenty of seating, but it's clearly a popular spot--we arrived around 10 a.m. on a Monday morning, and most of the pastries were already gone! We ordered a mocha and a chai latte. Both are really great. The service was fast and friendly as well. Overall, it's a fantastic place to hang out, get some work done, or simply enjoy a coffee. read more

Small, cozy coffee shop. All the locals know each other and the cashier even memorizes their "regular" order. Love that. I also loved the variety of their menu. I ordered the matcha-mallow after reading a few reviews about it. I didn't quite taste the marshmallow but the matcha was better than other matcha lattes I've had that aren't in big city centers. I make my own matcha lattes at home and try to source my matcha from Japan directly, so maybe my palette is a bit more versed in matcha. However! I'd still recommend a visit to this shop! If I could I'd go back to try their seasonal sesame matcha latte. We also got the bacon burrito. Shared between my bf and I and it was the perfect portion to get us going for our hike. Also don't expect quick service, especially if you're rushing to get to the trailhead or into Olympic. We spent about 20 minutes here from order to receiving our order to go. read more

I love an authentic coffee roaster with a very safe vibe for women and lgbtqis+ folx. The staff are so pleasant and I appreciate that I could get a lovely bag of fresh roasted coffee (roasted today) to bring back as a gift for my partner when I get back from my trip. I was so looking forward to stopping here during my stay, the place is cute and the staff were nice. But my burrito and coffee were $24. The shots in my coffee were burnt and undrinkable, my burrito had microwaved eggs. I threw both items away, I'm so bummed. read more

Found this gem right near the Edmonds-Kingston Ferry. I asked for a spicy chai tea latte, and they asked if I would like cayenne in it. Yes, please! It was excellent! My wife got the churro donut and sausage-potato quiche. She loved the quiche. Haven't tried the donut yet. I got a chorizo champ burrito. It was piping hot the entire time I ate it. Delicious! The coffee, yes!!! My usuals are an Americano with cream or a latte. But don't miss out on Joanne's fabulous quiche!! The shop is cozy, the staff is warm and friendly, there's parking and outside seating in the back and it's an easy walk up from the Kingston ferry lot. read more

Solidly at the top of my list for breakfast and coffee! Excellent quiche, breakfast burritos are very good, coffee is wonderful. Staff is very friendly, welcoming, and accepting. This is a very new cafe in Kingston. I had an inkling before that was confirmed because of the lack of Yelp reviews. I knew I must help remedy this! Joann is one of the owners and the fabulous woman who catered to us. We chatted a bit about the story of how Over the Moon came to be, and she was just a delight to interact with. The menu board was not up so she named off some options. She also recommended our mocha to have toasted marshmallow instead of vanilla as a precious patron requested this and she found it a splendid idea! It was so cute... and tasted great! We got a 12oz hot chai with soy that I really enjoyed, and I'm kind of a chai snob, as well as a 16oz specialized mocha and sammies. I honestly don't remember our total but it was somewhere in the 20's and I do remember thinking it sounded about right. Conveniently located directly before (or after depending on which way you're going) the ferry terminal so you have no excuse whatsoever to miss it! I wish Joann the absolute best with her business and plan to visit next time we venture over that way. :) read more

This is a really cute little coffee shop that makes the perfect stop after taking the Kingston ferry. It's a cozy, warm vibe. The workers are extremely polite and patient in explaining their menu. Over the Moon is my absolute favorite cafe and favorite spot in Kingston. Their service is good, the employees are friendly, and the food and drinks are great. Their veggie quiche is particularly good (I love it and I normally don't even like sweet potato), and I always love trying their rotating seasonal drinks. It can get busy, especially on weekends, so be careful ordering a drink if you're about get on the ferry, but the popularity speaks to their quality. They're also really invested in the community, always displaying posters and materials from local groups and events, and showing and selling art from local artists. When anyone I know is in town, I always suggest they stop by Over the Moon. read more

This is a small local coffee shop owned by a couple. The decor was elegant and simple. The lady at the front was very polite and she patiently gave her recommendations. We got the hot chocolate with two different flavors. My friend got a latte which was good too. They had some English tea as well. Overall a great local place. read more

This place was really warm and inviting. It felt so cozy, as if you were visiting a friends house. I really enjoyed the customer service and the multiple areas you can choose to eat at. There's seating in front, throughout, and behind the coffee shop. The food and coffee are really delicious! It all depends on what you order to fit your taste. I have only been here one other time a few years ago when I was visiting family but I am so happy I came back and tried this place again. I don't know the name of the guy working there but he was so friendly and helpful when helping me decide what to order. He definitely knew his coffee and what flavors go with what and how to make the drinks. He has perfect his craft with coffee. I loved the holiday special Papa Noel, it was yummy and festive for sure. Please always have that flavor during the holidays. And my husband got the Espresso milkshake with raspberry flavor. It was just the right amount of raspberry to give it that hint of flavor but not overpower the espresso shake. We also got an oatmeal cookie as I read in a review they were delicious. The cookie was tasty as well. I definitely want to try some breakfast next time I visit my family in Kingston. read more

Awesome vibe and super friendly service. Espresso is a little over roasted for my taste. Got a breakfast burrito also and it was very fresh and would've been super delicious except I believe they put oregano in it, for some reason. Very strong flavor and has no business in a breakfast burrito, IMO. I would still probably go back and give their coffee another try. Great little sitting area in the front and looked like a nice patio outback. Seemed like it would be a great spot to hang out and enjoy a coffee when the weather is nice. read more

This place is literally disgusting. They only carry the cheap beans/ chai mix etc. 7,00 for my drink- they forgot the whip . It tasted like tar, it was so gross I was spitting it out. They're also very rude and out of most things. read more

Stuck in the gullet. Second their service is appalling. The people behind the counter are all in on some inside ball game and customer service is not their emphasis. They are looking away while half-heartedly asking you what you would like, and more interested in serving up verbal repartees to their co-workers while distractedly trying to complete a sale. You can expect to repeat your order a few times. Then there's the off-handed use of bakery tissue which is not quite neat and hygienic. I mean it's a shambolic operation that gets away with it because there is no competition in Kingston unless you take the ferry across to Edmonds.

We go here everytime we have 10 minutes or more before the next boat. This time I got a lavendar latte with oat milk. This can be a risky drink to get because often the syrup is too bitter. But yet again Aviator piloted this drink perfectly. Get a crepe across the street but leave room in your budget for this local roaster.

Price was good for how big the slice was... You could definitely taste the sourdough at the crust edges so I want to go back and try the other two versions. We will be back and I'll give it another review.
