What a cozy, chill and charming shop in the shadow of the Olympic Mountains. Perched right on the main street through town, it's a wonderful spot to just park your ass, take a break from your day (or travels, like me), and have you a little pick-me-up drink or pastry. Small cool selection of indoor & outdoor seating. They source & roast really awesome quality beans right there in house plus the decaf comes from the amazing Swiss Water company just north in BC Canada. I got an oat decaf latte with I believe house vanilla syrup. Just a nice smooth cup o' joy. Not many vegan pastries so I got the lone fig bar thing; twas tasty & light. Sounds like their baked goods are from a bakery in Port Townsend which is just north of there. The gal working was super warm & friendly. A super neat gem way out on the peninsula. I was in town visiting my 88 year old parents when my mother took a fall. So my stay was extended as my sister and I cared for her in her recovery. It was an intense time for the whole family of coming to terms with their needs going forward and full-time caregiving. Who supported me through this process? My husband, my friends, and Catkin coffee. As many days as I could, I would sneak away in the morning to have one of their amazing coffees and their divine pastries. The owner's friendly welcome buoyed me as I started my day, the coffee fueled me, and the pastry was a little necessary act of self-care. Catkin coffee is like a little oasis, there's even a beautiful garden area in the back. Basically, I would give 10 stars if I could. Outstanding service. A certain "port-towsand like over famiiarity, but not in a completely unpleasant way. Beautiful classic cappuccino, perfect heart in the foam. Not that Jeff was coming on to me ? For sitting in an old garage the ambiance was charming. The music, of course there is music is there, but that's the times in which we live. Stopped in our way back from a hike, and it's a quite, cute little coffee/tea shop. My partner ordered a Shakerato, which is a double shot of espresso with a little condensed milk, shaken over ice. I had the elderberry matcha tonic which was on special. Both drinks were refreshing and delicious. We also got a chocolate walnut cookie, which had a shortbread like texture and was yummy. The barista was so friendly and helpful, explaining drinks and offering information to help us decide. This was our second visit and one of my partner's favorite coffee shops when we come out this way. read more

I can't even express how excited I am that we stumbled upon Catkin on our way to the trailhead. Amazing coffee, amazing pastries, amazing artwork, amazing vibe. The owner/roaster/barista was so inviting and knowledgeable. I wish we lived closer to this gem, but I will drive all the way to Quilcene again just for the Hojicha Cocoa--I'm obsessed. read more

Had a spectacular cup of coffee here (apparently they roast their own beans which explains the fresh deliciousness) and it is a really nice, super clean space with a lot of windows and huge ceilings. Gal was super nice serving it. read more

My wife Gail & I stopped by on our way to Port Townsend. A wonderfully relaxing & "homey" ambiance inside "invited us" to stay awhile. She had a regular coffee and I had a hot pumpkin spice eggnog along with both of us getting a cinnamon roll. Very delicious! Brady was at the counter and he couldn't have been nicer!
